My family was just served with eviction papers

Warden

Disciple of Prayer
Please, my family and I are disabled and along with our beloved cats, would have nowhere to go. Nowhere. I'm asking all fellow believers to please pray that our landlord and his family are able to soften their hearts so we can resolve this peacefully. I'm so scared, my family is also terrified and upset, and I'm trying my best to smooth things over. I haven't responded yet, and I just need him to understand that rent will be coming in and we're committed to making this right. I ask for the right words to speak to him, and for the Lord to calm everyone's fears. I need strength for myself, and so does my family. My brother is so angry and scared, which makes it worse. I don't want my family to get emotionally or physically worse. It's so difficult being disabled and with the affordability crisis, but we're doing everything in our power to make this right. Please pray for my family and my landlord's family as well. In Jesus' name I ask this. God bless you all.

We join you in prayer together before the Father in Jesus name and we have heard the weight of fear and uncertainty you are carrying for your family. To face eviction with nowhere to go, while also living with disabilities and the burden of this affordability crisis, is deeply distressing, and we stand with you, your family, and even with concern for your beloved cats who are part of your household, asking the Lord to be your refuge and provider.

The Word reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We also cling to the promise In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. The Lord sees your commitment to make this right and to honor what you owe, and He hears your desire to speak with grace and truth. We are encouraged that The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Proverbs 21:1, and we trust He can soften hearts and open the way for peaceful resolution.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our only access to Your throne of grace, and we lift up this dear family to You. Lord, You know their disabilities, their fears, their love for one another, and the threat of losing their home. We ask You to calm every anxious and terrified heart in that household, especially the brother who is angry and scared, and to replace fear with Your perfect peace. Grant them strength when they feel weak, for You have said My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9 and Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Father, we also lift up the landlord and his family to You. Soften their hearts, give them compassion and understanding, and make them willing to listen and to work toward a peaceful and fair resolution. Give our dear friend the right words to speak, that their speech may always be with grace, seasoned with salt Colossians 4:6, speaking truth in love with humility and clarity about their commitment that rent will be coming and their desire to make things right. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, open doors for assistance, and keep this family from harm emotionally and physically. Let no weapon formed against them prosper and let Your will be done in this situation. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to respond to your landlord promptly and in writing, with a calm and respectful tone, even while you are afraid. Share honestly that you are committed to fulfilling your obligation and propose a clear plan for when rent will be paid, asking humbly for a chance to resolve this peacefully. Keep a copy of all communication. We also urge you to seek help quickly from local resources while you wait, such as legal aid for tenants, disability advocacy services, local churches, and community assistance programs that may offer emergency rental help or mediation, as the Lord often provides through the hands of others. For your brother and your whole family, remember Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath Ephesians 4:26 and let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger James 1:19. Encourage one another to pray together out loud when fear rises, to take walks or rest when emotions run high, and to guard your health as you bear this burden together. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and He has not forgotten you. We are trusting with you that God will make a way, calm the storm, and give you wisdom and strength for each step ahead.

We are holding you and your family in prayer right now, and we hear how frightening this is. Facing eviction with disabilities, with your cats who are part of your family, and feeling like you have nowhere to turn would leave anyone overwhelmed. It makes sense you are scared and trying to keep everyone calm, especially with your brother's anger adding to the strain.

You asked for the right words for your landlord and for peace in both families, and we are praying specifically for that - for calm, for clear communication, and for wisdom for everyone involved.

In a moment like this it can help to pause before responding, even when the pressure feels urgent. Take time to gather the papers you were served and understand what they say and what timeline you have. Before you speak with your landlord, consider reaching out quickly to a local legal aid clinic, tenant assistance program, or disability services organization in your area. Many communities have free help to review eviction notices and explain options, and sometimes offer mediation where a neutral person helps both sides talk through a workable payment plan. When you do reach out to your landlord, keeping it brief, respectful, and in writing can help - sharing that you are committed to paying and asking if you can agree on a specific plan and timeline.

You are carrying a lot trying to be strong for everyone. We are asking God to sustain you and your family day by day.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus' name. Calm their fears, guard their health, and give them strength and wisdom for each next step. Soften hearts on both sides and make a way for peaceful, fair communication. Provide help and support around them and keep them in Your care. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your heavy burden has been brought before the Lord and before His people, and we have carried it to the throne of grace with you. To be pressed on every side by infirmity, by want, and by the fear of being cast out of your dwelling, with those dear to you trembling with you, is indeed a trial that brings sharp pangs, but even these pangs the Lord can make to lead to life and to prove His mercy.

We pray now for you and for your household, and for your landlord and his household also, that the God of all peace would rule in the midst of this trouble. Our Lord Jesus has said, That in Me ye might have peace, and it is in Him alone that perfect peace is to be found when sorrows surge round. May He whisper peace within your hearts even in this dark hour, and keep your minds stayed upon Him who is wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the Prince of Peace. We ask the Lord to calm every fear, to quiet the anger and terror that so stirs your brother, and to preserve you all from being made worse in body or in spirit by this distress. The word of the Lord to the tried is still, Fear not, be strong. He who calls you to bear this burden will support you in it, and His strength is made perfect in weakness.

We ask also that the Lord would give you the right words when you speak to your landlord. Go to him in a spirit of peace, as one who sues for peace, with honesty and humility, laying before him your true condition and your earnest commitment to make right what is owing. Pray that his heart may be softened, that he may be moved to forbearance and to a peaceable settlement, and that together you may find a way forward that is just and merciful. Remember that while men hold houses on earth, there is a greater Landlord over all, the Lord Himself, in whose hands are all our dwellings and our days, and He will not forget His tenants who trust in Him. Cast your care upon Him, for in Him the fatherless finds mercy, and He has promised to heal and to love freely.

May the Lord in His providence open a door for provision, that rent may be supplied and your home preserved, or if He sees fit to remove you, that He will provide another refuge and not suffer you to be without shelter, you and your beloved creatures committed to your care. We pray that He would grant you deliberate serenity and not hurried rage, that conscious trust in Him may keep you from being easily disturbed, and that you may know that behind all present annoyances there is a blessing which will compensate for them.

We commend you to that Fountain which is opened for every need, and to the sanctifying power of Christ for your future lives. Apply to Jesus at once for double deliverance, and doubt not that He will deal graciously with you. May He grant that before another sun rises there may be peace established, first between your soul and God through the blood of Jesus, and then, by His grace, peace between you and those with whom you have to do.

We continue to bear you up in prayer, asking all these mercies in the name of Jesus Christ our peace, in whom alone we have hope.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your cry and we are bringing you and your family before the Lord in prayer.

We pray that God, who sees your distress and knows every need of your household, will grant you peace in the midst of this great fear. We ask Him to calm your hearts and the heart of your brother, to quiet anger and anxiety, and to guard you all emotionally and physically in this difficult time. We pray for strength for you as you try to hold your family together, and for comfort for each member of your household, including your beloved cats who are part of your family.

We are praying also for your landlord and his family, that God would soften hearts on both sides and open a way for a peaceful and fair conversation. We ask the Lord to give you the right words when you respond, words that are humble, honest, clear and gentle, so that you can explain your commitment to make things right and to see rent provided. May God grant you wisdom to speak at the right time and in the right spirit, without quarreling, and may He grant your landlord a willingness to listen.

We know how heavy this burden feels, especially while living with disability and facing the great cost of housing. The Lord does not abandon His people in the night. Even when deliverance seems delayed, He is present and He teaches us to bear trials with patience and trust, knowing that He will provide what we need according to His mercy. We pray that He will make a way for your rent to be met, whether through provision, work, assistance, or the kindness of others, and that He will connect you with faithful help nearby, such as your local church, legal aid, or disability support services, who can walk with you through the practical steps of responding to these papers.

Do not face this alone. Seek godly counsel quickly, respond honestly and promptly to your landlord in writing, keep records of all communication, and let others help you carry this load.

We continue to pray that the Lord will calm every fear, steady your hearts, and lead you to a resolution that protects your family and honors peace. May He keep you in His care and give you hope day by day.

In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, who is our refuge and strength.
