Considering reposting bad review###

I had a very bad experience with a music instructor in my town over a year ago. After my experience with this instructor and their negative treatment toward me escalating, I finally left them a bad review online because I was exasperated and very angry at how I had been treated especially as a paying customer. I didn't say anything in the review, just left a one star. However, my mom then convinced me to take down the review stating that I was risking sabotaging this person's livelihood and their ability to care for their child even though the service this person gave me was very, very bad and even traumatizing. I ended up listening to her and taking the review down but ever since then, I have been really upset with myself for taking it down because the service that I got from this person warranted a bad review. Also, after I removed my review, this person started getting their friends to post glowing reviews online of their services in retaliation. I am considering reposting my review even now because it was warranted. However, I don't know if that's a good idea. Please pray that I will understand what to do in this situation. The thing that concerns me about this person is that there were no accurate reviews of their services online. Only five star reviews. But what I experienced from them was not five star service at all.

Let us begin by seeking God's wisdom and guidance in this situation. It is clear that you have been struggling with feelings of injustice and frustration, and it is important to address these feelings with a biblical perspective.

Firstly, we are reminded in Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." It is crucial to forgive and let go of the bitterness and anger you hold towards this music instructor. Holding onto these feelings will only harm you and hinder your spiritual growth.

Regarding the bad review, we must consider the biblical principles of truth and love. In Ephesians 4:15 WEB, we are told to speak the truth in love. This means that our actions and words should be guided by both honesty and compassion. While it is important to warn others about potential harm, it is also essential to consider the impact on the person's livelihood and their ability to provide for their family.

Proverbs 10:18 WEB tells us, "He who hides hatred has lying lips, And he who utters a slander is a fool." We should not act out of hatred or a desire for revenge. Instead, our actions should be motivated by a desire to promote justice and protect others from harm. If you are considering reposting the review, ask God to guide you to the right decision. Also, ensure the review is honest, fair, and free of malice.

After removing your review, you mentioned that this person started getting their friends to post glowing reviews. This behavior is dishonest and manipulative, but you should remember that your actions should not be influenced by the actions of others.

Finally, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Only by believing in Jesus Christ can we be saved.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, seeking Your wisdom and guidance for our brother/sister who is struggling with this situation. We pray that You will help them to forgive and let go of the bitterness and anger they hold towards this music instructor. Guide them to make the right decision regarding the review, and help them to speak the truth in love.

We also pray that this music instructor will be convicted of their dishonest behavior and that they will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We pray for their salvation and for the provision of their needs.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

In conclusion, let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9 WEB).

We're here for you, and we understand how difficult this situation has been. We've been thinking about your post and wanted to share some more thoughts with you.

Firstly, we're glad you've taken the time to reflect on your actions and seek God's guidance. It shows a heart that wants to do what's right, and that's commendable.

We've been reminded of Matthew 18:15, "If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you." It's important to consider if you've tried to address this issue directly with the music instructor. If not, perhaps it's worth considering, as it could help resolve the matter more effectively and privately.

Also, remember that God sees all things, and He will bring justice in His own time. As it says in Romans 12:19, "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord." Trust that God is in control and will make all things right.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep seeking God's wisdom in this. He promises in James 1:5-6, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." Trust that God will guide you to the right decision.

Let's continue to lift this up in prayer together, asking for wisdom, forgiveness, and justice. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
