Jesus please let me get confirmation in writing about the apparent approval of my benefits. I have been contacting so many people because no one will give me a straight answer Please just let me get a letter to prove it or email. Please also let my husband be ok at his job for not going in on his day off, he needed rest so badly. Please also let my son stop staying up so late and understand I cannot deal with this anymore. Please also let my health improve and give me the strength to do my house and yardwork. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

The enemy loves to keep God’s people in uncertainty, but Scripture declares, "For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace" (1 Corinthians 14:33). We pray that the Lord would intervene in the bureaucracy and red tape, softening hearts and opening doors so that you receive the written confirmation you need, whether by letter or email, without further delay. May the Lord grant you favor with those in authority and remove every obstacle standing in the way of your peace of mind.

We also pray for your husband’s job. Rest is a gift from the Lord, and we trust that He sees his need for it. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We ask that the Lord would cover any concerns about his absence and grant him wisdom in his work. May his supervisors understand his need for rest, and may his job remain secure and blessed by the Lord’s provision.

For your son, we pray that the Lord would grant him wisdom and self-control over his sleep habits. Late nights can disrupt the body, mind, and spirit, and we ask that the Holy Spirit convict him gently but firmly. "How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! Yes, to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver" (Proverbs 16:16). We also pray for you, that the Lord would strengthen you to set boundaries with love and patience, trusting Him to work in your son’s heart.

Regarding your health, we lift you up before the Great Physician. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). We ask that the Lord would renew your strength, ease your pain, and give you the energy to manage your household and yardwork. May He provide moments of rest and refreshment, reminding you that His grace is sufficient for each day.

We also want to encourage you in the area of housework. The Lord sees your efforts and does not expect perfection, only faithfulness. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). We pray that the Lord would give you joy in serving your family and that He would provide help when you need it, whether through physical strength, encouragement, or assistance from others.

Father, we ask that You would wrap Your arms around this dear sister and her family. Bring clarity where there is confusion, rest where there is exhaustion, and strength where there is weakness. Let her feel Your presence in every area of her life, and may she find her hope and peace in You alone. Consider sitting down with him in a calm moment, not when you’re both frustrated at midnight, to explain calmly but clearly how his staying up affects you and the whole household, and agree on a simple, consistent plan together. Small shifts often take time, but they start with that honest conversation.

The soul in its distress seeks a visible token, a letter in the hand to quiet the heart, and this is not a sinful desire, for even Gideon laid out the fleece. Yet mark this: the Lord does not always send the written parchment when we demand it, for He would teach us to walk by faith and not by sight. That very restlessness which drives you to seek human confirmation is the tender scourge that sends you to the unseen hand of God. The letter you crave may come, and pray for it you may, but there is a writing more sure, the covenant of grace inscribed upon the heart by the Spirit of the living God. When Christ writes His peace upon the conscience, no bureaucrat can blot it out, and no official seal can make it more certain. Wait upon the Lord for this inward confirmation, and though the outward letter delay, your strength shall be renewed like the eagle’s.

Your husband’s weariness is known to the High Priest who Himself grew tired by Samaria’s well. It is no transgression for a man to rest when his frame cries out for it; the Sabbath was made for man, and there are seasons when necessity overrides the rigid demand of the clock. Do not let fear gnaw at you over this. The same providence that gave him the wisdom to seek rest will guard his standing; commit him to the One who neither slumbers nor sleeps, and let your anxious thoughts be swallowed up in childlike confidence.

As for the dear child who keeps late hours, this too is a trial that finds you on your knees. Yet here is a field for faith to plough. You say you can deal with this no longer, and that very confession of your own extremity is the best prayer you have uttered. When we have no might, He increases strength. Pray not only for the boy’s sleep, but for his soul’s awakening, that the restlessness of youth may be quieted by the sweet constraint of grace. The Lord who turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends can turn the heart of your son while you are yet speaking.

Your health and the mountain of housework and yard labour loom large, and the flesh shrinks from the burden. But here is the ancient path: they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Not in a moment, perhaps, recovery often creeps where we would have it leap, but it is sure. The God who anoints with fresh oil will not leave your lamp to gutter out. Cast your weakness upon Him; take hold of His strength, even that arm which was outstretched on Calvary. When you cannot lift the broom, let patience lift the heart. There is a bath for the soul, a cleansing fountain, and in its refreshing you shall find vigour for the day and peace for the night. Bring these tangled cares to the throne of grace in one great bundle, and look to Jesus, whose look upon Peter broke the rock of his denial into a flood of penitent tears, to look also upon you with restoring mercy.

Why do you seek a paper from men when the God of all has already given you His word? You run after an email as though it were a lasting city, but the smoke of this world chokes the soul’s eye. One day you will stand before the judgment seat and no earthly letter will be read there. The Samaritan woman, when she perceived Christ, forgot her waterpot and asked nothing more for her body. You have asked for many bodily things, but have you asked to perceive Him? Cry out rather, “Lord, that I may receive my sight,” and then all these other matters will find their right size.

You say, “Let my husband be ok at his job.” O woman, does your God not spare you? He who gave you your husband, who breathed a soul into you, who spared not His only-begotten Son, shall He not care for your daily bread? Why do you bow to the employer as though he held the balances of life? Your husband lacked rest; he took it. The Lord of the Sabbath is not offended by mercy. Learn to say with Paul, “My grace is sufficient for thee, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” You are grieved by your weakness, your failing health, your house undone. But Christ sleeps in the boat of your life that you may cry out with real fear, and then He rises and the storm becomes a calm. Do not despise the storm, for it is the school of faith.

Your son’s late hours trouble you, and you say you cannot deal with it any more. But what is it that you cannot deal with? Your own lack of rest? Your own desire for a quiet house? Look deeper, lest the disorder of his body be a mirror of the soul’s need in both of you. Imitate not the world’s way of nagging and controlling, but the Apostle’s way, who taught not by words only but by the pattern of his life. Pray for him, yes, but also let your own life become a meadow of spiritual oracles where his soul’s eye may find clear air. The smoke of anxious words will only make him weep.

You ask for strength for house and yard. This is not an evil petition, but examine the root. Did you come into the world with a scrubbed floor? Naked you came, naked you shall depart. The things of this life are like smoke; they both fade and choke. When you see the thistle and the dust, remember you have a mansion not made with hands. Tackle your chores with thanksgiving, not with a complaining spirit that poisons the gift of health itself. For even a little strength, given by God, is perfected in weakness.

Do not cling to the written confirmation as though it were your righteousness. Many offences have been covered by grace; will this trifle be withheld? Let your first and constant cry be, “Speak the word only, and my soul shall be healed.” Then, whether the letter comes or not, you will possess the peace that passes all understanding. Give thanks for all of it, the comfort and the affliction, for both are the chisels of the Heavenly Artist forming you for the Kingdom.

Waiting on a letter or an email can feel like an eternity, especially when you’ve already made so many calls and gotten so few straight answers. There is something especially trying about needing confirmation in writing, and I want you to know that longing is not lost on the Lord. The Scriptures show us repeatedly that God is the one who moves the hearts of those in authority. A pagan king once issued a written decree across an entire empire simply because the Lord stirred him to do it. If God can orchestrate that for His people then, He can certainly prompt an official to send the very proof you need now. Even when it seems nothing is happening, He is working behind the scenes, and the confirmation you seek may already be on its way.

While you wait for that human approval, remember that the deepest kind of approval doesn’t come in an envelope. The apostles learned not to seek the glory that comes from people but the glory that comes from God alone. When we rest in His approval, the restlessness of chasing man’s answer begins to lose its grip. I’m not saying the paperwork doesn’t matter, it does, and I’m praying with you that it arrives clearly, but the peace you need right now can come before the email does. His word to you is sure, even when earthly systems are slow.

As for your husband, I think of an apostle who spent long stretches confined, sometimes even in chains. From those prison cells, he wrote letters that changed the world, letters we still treasure today. It’s a strange comfort, but sometimes our limitations and forced rests become the very soil where God plants something lasting. Your husband needed that rest, and he was right to take it. Trust that the same Lord who watches over the sparrow also watches over his job. A day of recovery is not a failure; it’s a wise stewardship of the body God gave him. I’m asking the Lord to guard his standing at work and to give his supervisors understanding hearts.

I hear the weariness in your words about your son’s sleep and your own health and the weight of the house and yard. Those daily burdens can pile up until they feel immovable. But listen to how David speaks to his own soul: Forget not all His benefits. We are so prone to forget what God has already done the moment a new trial appears. But He is the One who forgives all our iniquities, who heals our diseases, who redeems our lives from destruction, and who crowns us with steadfast love and mercy. That same God meets you in the laundry room and the garden and the late nights with a restless child. He doesn’t despise small tasks or exhausted mothers. Call out for strength, and He will satisfy you with just enough for today.

That tendency to forget is not a reason for shame; it’s part of our shared humanity. God knows it. So He keeps telling us to remember: remember His benefits, remember His faithfulness, remember that our light affliction, heavy as it feels, is working for us an eternal weight of glory. That doesn’t mean your pain is small; it means the outcome God is producing through it is immeasurably greater than the trouble itself.

I am praying that the written confirmation arrives soon and that you’ll hold it in your hands with the same certainty that caused a prophet to go home and pray after he knew the decree had been signed. I’m praying your husband finds favor and your son’s heart is settled with a peace that lets his body rest. I’m praying strength returns to your body and that the most ordinary chores feel like what they are: a kind of worship offered to a faithful Father. He has not forgotten you. His benefits are new every morning.
