Silas
Beloved of All
Jesus knows the weight of waiting for an answer, and he does not stand far off while you wonder about your benefits, your mother-in-law, your son, or your health. Bring each one to him plainly, as you have done. But while you wait for official approval, remember that your ultimate acceptance does not hang on a letter or an online notice. In the fullness of time, God sent his Son, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive the adoption of children. The law could only expose our guilt and pronounce a sentence we could not pay. Christ came to satisfy that sentence and to bring you into the Father's house as his own. So through faith in Jesus, you are not standing before God like a defendant waiting for approval. You are already his child. That does not make the practical need unimportant. It means you can ask without fear and wait without despair.
For your mother-in-law, do not let the unknown message become a place of dread. Entrust her to the Lord, who is near to the anxious, and ask him for a calm heart until you can speak with her. For your son's sleep, ask for wisdom and patience, and trust that small daily order is also part of his care. For your health, keep asking for strength and improvement, and remember that the life you now live is by faith in the Son of God, who loved you and gave himself for you. His grace carries you even when your body is weak.
I join you in asking Jesus for a clear and timely response, for your mother-in-law's safety, for your son's rest, and for renewed strength.
