Good and Faithful Servant
Dear Family Of God, Please can someone pray over me. Some decades ago i lost my will/drive/motivation to live and my confidence. This was during a trying time in my life. My wish is that I have all those things back. All these things I ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We hear your heart’s cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your request to the Lord who restores, renews, and revives. The loss of will, drive, and confidence is a heavy burden to carry, especially when it lingers for decades. But we serve a God who specializes in turning ashes into beauty, despair into hope, and weakness into strength (Isaiah 61:3). Your desire to reclaim what was lost is not in vain—it is a holy longing placed in you by the Holy Spirit, and we believe God will answer it according to His perfect will and timing.

First, we want to affirm that you have come to the right place by invoking the precious name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). Your prayer in Jesus’ name is powerful and effective (James 5:16), and we join you in that authority, declaring that the Lord hears and will move on your behalf.

The Bible tells us that confidence is not something we muster up on our own—it is a gift from God, rooted in our trust in Him. The apostle Paul wrote, *"For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, 'Abba, Father.' The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God"* (Romans 8:15-16). Your identity as a child of God is the foundation of true confidence. You are not defined by the trials of your past or the struggles of your present. You are defined by Christ, who loved you and gave Himself for you (Galatians 2:20). When you feel weak, remember that His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). The very things that have left you feeling depleted are the places where God’s strength can shine most brightly.

We also want to encourage you to reflect on the trying time in your life when this loss began. Often, seasons of deep pain or trauma can leave wounds that fester in our souls, even if we are not consciously aware of them. The enemy would love for you to remain in that place of discouragement, but God desires to heal and restore you. Psalm 147:3 says, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* We pray that the Lord would bring to light any unresolved hurt, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may be hindering your confidence. Ask Him to search your heart and reveal anything that needs to be surrendered to Him (Psalm 139:23-24). True healing begins when we allow God to shine His light into the darkest corners of our souls.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to rebuild your confidence in Christ. Surround yourself with godly community—believers who will speak life into you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Proverbs 27:17 says, *"Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance."* You were not meant to walk this journey alone. Seek out a local church or small group where you can grow in your faith and be reminded of your worth in Christ. Additionally, immerse yourself in Scripture. The Word of God is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and it has the power to renew your mind (Romans 12:2). Meditate on verses that speak to God’s strength, His love for you, and His promises. Here are a few to start with:
- *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13).
- *"The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1).
- *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31).

We also want to gently challenge you to consider whether there are areas of your life where you may have unintentionally given the enemy a foothold. The Bible warns us, *"Do not give the devil a foothold"* (Ephesians 4:27). Sometimes, our struggles with confidence can be tied to lies we have believed about ourselves, God, or others. Have you allowed past failures or the words of others to define you? Have you compared yourself to others and felt lacking? These are tactics the enemy uses to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus came that you might have life—and have it abundantly. Renounce any lies you have believed, and replace them with the truth of God’s Word. Declare over yourself, *"I am fearfully and wonderfully made"* (Psalm 139:14). *"I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me"* (Romans 8:37). *"I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus"* (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Now, let us pray together in agreement for your restoration:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation, knowing that You are a God who restores and redeems. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, who has carried the weight of lost confidence, drive, and motivation for far too long. We ask that You would breathe new life into their spirit, just as You breathed life into Adam at creation (Genesis 2:7). Father, we declare that Your plans for them are plans for good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would reignite the fire within them—the passion, the purpose, and the boldness that comes from knowing who they are in Christ.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement, despair, and fear that has tried to take root in their life. We declare that these things have no place in them, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We break every chain of the past that has held them back, and we release them into the freedom that is found in Christ Jesus (Galatians 5:1). Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds in their soul—any pain, rejection, or trauma that has contributed to their struggle. Pour out Your healing balm on their heart, and let them experience the fullness of Your love and acceptance.

We pray that You would fill them with a fresh anointing of Your Holy Spirit. Let them walk in the confidence that comes from knowing they are Your beloved child (1 John 3:1). Give them the courage to step out in faith, even when fear tries to hold them back. Remind them daily of Your promises, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them—doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). Let them see Your hand at work in their life, and let their confidence grow as they witness Your faithfulness.

We also pray for godly community to surround them. Bring people into their life who will speak truth, encourage them, and walk alongside them in this journey. Let them be sharpened by iron, and let them experience the joy of fellowship with other believers (Hebrews 10:24-25). Father, we ask that You would give them wisdom and discernment as they navigate this season. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to reject the lies of the enemy. Let them stand firm in the armor of God, knowing that they are more than conquerors through Christ (Ephesians 6:10-18).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use their story for Your glory. Let their testimony of restoration be a light to others who are struggling with confidence and purpose. Let them be a living example of Your power to transform lives. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We thank You for moving on their behalf, for we know that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to this prayer and to the promises of God. The journey to restoration may not be instantaneous, but it is certain. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved, and your confidence is being restored even now, in Jesus’ name.

We're right there with you, dear one. We've felt that heavy weight of lost confidence, drive, and motivation. It's like carrying a backpack filled with stones, isn't it? But remember, our God is a God of restoration. He specializes in turning our ashes into beauty, our despair into hope, and our weakness into strength. We believe that He's already at work in your life, breathing new life into your spirit, just like He did with Adam at creation.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God in this. Spend time in His presence, talking to Him, listening to Him. His love for you is unfailing, and His plans for you are plans to give you a future and a hope. Trust in His timing, and trust in His love for you.

We also want to remind you that you're not alone in this. We're here for you, praying for you, believing with you. And we know that God has a community of believers ready to walk alongside you, to encourage you, and to sharpen you. Don't hesitate to reach out, to connect with others, to share your journey.

Let's declare together: "The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). With God on your side, you have nothing to fear. He's got this, and He's got you.

Keep holding on, dear one. Your confidence is being restored, even now, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
