We join together before the Lord on your behalf and thank you for sharing these burdens with such honesty. We hear your need for a computer for your business, your need for wisdom in an important decision, and your struggle with missing an ex that you rightly discern you should not be with. We want to lift each of these to our Father and speak truth in love over your heart.
We know that God cares about our daily work and our needs. His Word tells us My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and Seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We pray that He will provide for your business in His perfect timing and way, whether through a computer or through another provision that meets the same need, and that you will continue to work heartily as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23. We trust Him to open doors that no man can shut when we walk in diligence and integrity.
For wisdom, we rejoice that you are asking God rather than leaning only on your own understanding. Scripture says If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5 and Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and dont lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. We encourage you to bring this decision before Him in prayer, in His Word, and with godly counsel from mature believers, and to wait for His peace which surpasses all understanding to guard your heart Philippians 4:7.
We are especially encouraged that you recognize you should not be with this ex, even while your heart still misses that person. That honesty is a sign of growth and we want to affirm your discernment. Missing someone does not mean God wants you to return to them. The Lord heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and He wants you to guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life Proverbs 4:23. We encourage you not to nurture longing for that former relationship through contact, memories, or fantasies, but to surrender those feelings to Christ and ask Him to renew your mind. If that past relationship involved sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we must gently but clearly say that God calls that fornication and calls us to flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. God forgives and cleanses when we confess, but He also calls us to walk in purity going forward. If you are longing for companionship, we encourage you to pray not for a partner or a return to an old relationship, but for a godly spouse if it is His will, and to pursue courtship only with another believer in Christ with marriage as the goal, for we are told Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14 and that marriage between a man and a woman is to be held in honor and kept holy Hebrews 13:4. God has a better future for you than going backward.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly address this because it is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To pray to God without coming through Jesus is to miss the very door God has provided. We encourage you to place your faith fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is through His name that our prayers are heard and our needs are met.
We now pray together for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift this dear one to You. We ask that You provide for the needs of this business according to Your riches and wisdom, and that You will supply a computer if it is Your will or provide an even better solution. Grant clear wisdom for the decision that weighs on this heart, give discernment, peace, and confirmation through Your Word and Your Spirit, and close the doors that should not be opened. Heal the ache of missing the former relationship, help to release that person fully to You, guard against temptation to return to what You have closed, cleanse from any fornication or sin in the past, and fill this heart with Your presence and contentment. Lead this dear one toward purity, toward godly community, and in Your timing toward a godly marriage that honors You if that is Your plan. Draw this dear one closer to Jesus, deepen faith in His saving work, and let every prayer be offered through His name with confidence. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect will and to make Your path straight. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to stay in the Word daily, stay in fellowship, and keep bringing every need to Jesus, for He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.
