Disciple of Prayer
Please pray God heals my ### completely and fills him with hope, strength, desire, and motivation to care for himself daily. In Jesus mighty name Amen.

We join you in praying for his complete healing and restoration, and we thank you for calling upon the mighty name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and confidence that our prayers are heard. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5, and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We are encouraged by your intercession for him, asking not only for physical healing but for hope and strength and the daily motivation to care for himself, for our bodies are a stewardship from God. We are reminded that He is the Lord who heals us, as He promises But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. When we feel weak or weary, we can cling to the truth that He gives power to the faint. To him who has no might, he increases strength Isaiah 40:29 and that we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us Philippians 4:13. Our prayer is also that God would fill him with abounding hope, for we know that Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit Romans 15:13.

We pray together for him now. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus we lift this dear one to Your throne of grace and ask for Your complete healing touch upon his body, mind and spirit. Lord, touch every part of him that needs restoration and make him whole according to Your perfect will. Fill him with Your hope where there has been discouragement, with Your strength where there has been weakness, and with a renewed desire and holy motivation to steward his body and life well each day for Your glory. Teach him to cast all his anxiety on You, because You care for him 1 Peter 5:7, and to find his daily strength and peace in You. Let him feel Your presence near, know Your love that sustains him, and walk forward in faith with confidence that You are working all things for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. We trust him into Your loving and capable hands and thank You for the work You are already doing in him. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.

We are lifting ### with you before the Lord, and we are praying for you too as you love him and carry this concern.

Wanting to see someone you love made whole, and wanting him to have the hope and daily motivation to care for himself, is a heavy and tender burden. Your steady prayer for his strength and desire is a real gift to him, even on days when you cannot see what it is doing.

You cannot create motivation for him, but walking beside him in a calm, consistent way can help. Notice and name the strengths you already see in him, and encourage one small, doable step at a time rather than a whole list at once. If he is not already connected with medical care, gently encouraging him to stay in touch with his doctor or care team alongside prayer is a good way to support his healing.

And as you keep showing up for him, we encourage you to watch over your own heart as well. Make sure you have one or two trusted people you can talk with honestly, time to rest, and space to give each day's burdens to the Lord instead of carrying them alone through the night.

Father, we bring him to You in Jesus' name and ask for Your healing and mercy in his body and mind. Fill him with hope, renew his strength, and stir in him a quiet desire to care for himself each day. Give wisdom to all who care for him, and give peace and encouragement to the one who is faithfully praying for him. Amen.

Your prayer for healing has been heard and it is a tender and right thing to bring this loved one before the throne of grace. We will join you in asking the Lord to lay His healing hand upon him and to work within him that which is well pleasing in His sight.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing. His common mercies, His daily grace, His smallest touches upon the soul are full of virtue to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We may therefore come with confidence that whatever his sickness or weariness may be, Christ is the heavenly Physician whose fruit is sweet and nourishing and whose leaves never wither.

You ask also that he may be filled with hope. Apart from God all strength is but derived strength and must soon fail, and pools which are not self supplied are soon exhausted. When a man finds there is no hope in himself he is apt to conclude there is no hope for him in God, but this is to be wrestled against. There is no hope for us in ourselves, but there is hope for us in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as we are. High thoughts of God beget hope in the soul, and hope leads to confidence. May the Lord turn the ray of possible hope into an actual and good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ, so that even in his low estate he may hear the promise and live.

You ask for strength and for desire and motivation to care for himself daily. This too the Lord delights to give. He gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might He increases strength. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. It is not to a Christian's credit that he should remain weak, for the glory of a man is his strength and especially his spiritual strength is his honor. When there remains no strength in us, then we may fling ourselves upon the Divine strength and lay hold upon it, for the Lord Himself has said, I will strengthen them in the Lord. And we remember the word of the beloved, they made me keeper of the vineyards, but mine own vineyard have I not kept. It is a danger to neglect the vineyard of our own body and soul which God has entrusted to us. To care for oneself daily, to eat and drink and rest and walk in sobriety and diligence, is not vanity but stewardship. May the blessed Spirit awaken him to renewed consecration, renewed zeal, renewed delight in holy service and renewed hope of victory, that he may plunge into the Godhead's deepest sea and find his strength borne up by grace, even as one breathes his native air and is revived.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, look in mercy upon this dear one for whom prayer is made. Forgive his sins and heal his diseases, for with You is pardon and with You is power to make whole. Lay Your hand upon his body and his spirit, and let the healing virtue of Christ, yea even the leaves of that blessed tree, restore him to freshness and health. When all his own strength fails him, be You his arm every morning and his salvation in the time of trouble. Renew his strength as they that wait upon You, lift him up from weariness and give him to mount up with wings as eagles. Fill him with a good hope through grace, that despair may be driven away and confidence in Your mercy may take its place. Grant him desire and a willing mind to keep the vineyard You have given him, to care for himself with diligence and thankfulness each day, not from self reliance but from love to You who has made him. Bring him into the presence of Jesus, that believing he may be brought into contact with Omnipotence and find life and healing there. Hear us for Jesus sake, in whose mighty name we ask it. Amen.
