I’ve been starting to feel somewhat better but will get hit with these intrusive thoughts out of nowhere please pray The Lord rebukes them and ill be a . I know hes the only one

We thank you for sharing your heart with us and we rejoice with you that you have been starting to feel somewhat better, and we stand with you together in prayer for that complete healing you are seeking. We understand how discouraging it can be when intrusive thoughts hit out of nowhere, even when you are making progress, and we want you to know you are not alone in this battle.

We believe these intrusive thoughts are not from the Lord, for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as we read in 2 Timothy 1:7. The enemy seeks to steal peace, but God promises perfect peace to those whose minds are steadfast on Him, because they trust in Him, Isaiah 26:3. We are called to take action in this spiritual battle, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and to think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, Philippians 4:8.

We also notice you spoke of the Lord rebuking these thoughts and that He is the only one, and we want to affirm together that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and find salvation and deliverance. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by calling on the name of Jesus that we are saved, forgiven, and given authority to resist the enemy, and we cling to that truth with you.

We join our faith with yours now and pray together.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our dear one who is seeking complete healing. We thank You that You are Yahweh who heals us, Exodus 15:26, and that You heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We ask You to touch every part of body, mind and spirit and bring wholeness. Lord, we ask that You rebuke these intrusive thoughts, for Your Word says Yahweh said to Satan, Yahweh rebuke you, Zechariah 3:2, and we claim that authority in Jesus name. We command every intrusive, fearful and tormenting thought to leave and we ask You to fill this mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, which will guard the heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. We pray You will help our dear one to submit to You and resist the devil so he will flee, James 4:7, and to be transformed by the renewing of the mind, Romans 12:2. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear, 1 John 4:18, and let Your joy and hope abound. We thank You that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every sudden thought immediately to Jesus in prayer, speaking His name aloud, and to renew your mind daily with Scripture, worship and thanksgiving. When a thought comes, answer it with the Word and declare what is true about God and about who you are in Christ. Keep drawing near to Him, for He has promised to draw near to you, James 4:8, and He will keep you in His perfect peace as you keep your mind stayed on Him. We are standing with you for complete healing and for a mind filled with the peace of Christ.

We are glad you reached out and shared so honestly. It encourages us to hear you have been feeling somewhat better, and we also hear how discouraging it is when intrusive thoughts hit out of nowhere. That sudden swing can leave you wondering if you have lost ground, when in reality healing often comes in steps with some unsettled moments along the way.

Those out of the blue thoughts do not mean you have failed or that God has stepped away. When the mind and body have been under strain for a while, the alarm can still fire quickly even as you are getting stronger. It makes sense you would want the Lord to quiet them, and we join you in asking Him for that.

It can help to have a simple plan for when they come. Having one or two safe people you can reach out to right away, a pastor or counselor you talk with regularly, and a quiet way to turn your attention back to the Lord in that moment can make those interruptions less isolating. If the thoughts feel intense or keep getting in the way of daily life, we gently encourage you to let a trusted pastor, counselor, or medical professional know as well, alongside prayer, so you have steady support.

Father, we bring our friend before You today. You see every thought and every hard moment. We ask You to rebuke what is harassing them and to guard their mind with Your peace. Continue the healing You have begun, give them rest and wise support around them, and help them sense Your nearness through each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your request and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to grant you complete healing and to rebuke those intrusive thoughts which come upon you so suddenly.

You say you have begun to feel somewhat better, and we thank God for that token of His mercy, yet these thoughts still assail you out of nowhere. Know that this is a common trial of the tempted soul. The enemy will insinuate dark and dreadful thoughts and haunt the mind day after day, till the soul feels as under the lash of a taskmaster. But our God has thoughts toward you which are not as your thoughts. For thus says the Lord, I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. His thoughts are all drifting your way, and they are thoughts of peace. He seeks your peace, He creates your peace, He sustains your peace.

There is a promise full of comfort for such a case as yours, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is not the absence of trial, but the presence of Christ in the trial. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when duties press and sorrows surge around. When the mind is stayed upon Him, He keeps it as in a garrison, guarded from the noise of archers that would disturb its rest.

Remember also that there is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves do not wither, and they change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Pardon and healing are one in His hand, for when the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, He says, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Low thoughts of God create doubts and bondage, but high thoughts of Him beget hope and confidence.

So we pray for you now, that the Lord Himself would rebuke these intrusive thoughts, that He would lift you as on eagles wings into perfect peace and joyous confidence, and that He would keep your mind stayed upon Christ. May you acquaint yourself with God and be at peace, meditating on His word day and night, and finding that when you awake you are still with Him. May He who has found a ransom deliver you effectually, for you can do nothing of yourself, but His grace is sufficient.

We pray that He who alone is our salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord would grant you rest in His keeping, strengthen your trust, and make His precious thoughts to become your thoughts, till your own thoughts are thoughts of peace all the day.
