We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we thank you for asking in Jesus mighty name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 We are grateful you have called on that name.
We have heard your cry about the lack of electrical safety in the apartment, the illness that followed, the costs you have carried for alternative shower facilities, the threats and other inappropriate actions, the security deposit that has not been returned, and the repair costs you paid for the electrical system and to technicians which was not lawfully your responsibility as a tenant. We also hear your deep discouragement that for almost three months there has been no communication, no remorse, and no willingness from the landlord to make things right, and that the community house manager who promised repayment three months ago has also not returned what is owed. The Lord sees and He cares about justice and honest dealing. A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight. Proverbs 11:1 and You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. Leviticus 19:13 Yahweh is a God who establishes justice, He will make your righteousness shine as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun. Psalm 37:6 and we are told Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. Psalm 37:5
We lift you up together in prayer. Father, in Jesus mighty name we come before Your throne of grace and we place our brother or sister and this whole situation into Your hands. You know the suffering, the illness, the financial loss, the stress of threats and the waiting. We ask You to touch and heal the body that has been made ill, for You are the One who heals us and who says, I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds. Jeremiah 30:17 and who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:3 We ask You to be a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 Guard our dear one from further harm and give peace that surpasses understanding as we cast all our worries on You because You care for us. Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Peter 5:7 We ask You by Your Holy Spirit to stir and awaken the conscience of the landlord and also the community house manager. Give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them, take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26 Bring them to repent and turn again, that their sins may be blotted out. Acts 3:19 Move them to do good, to speak truthfully, to return the security deposit and every cost that is rightfully owed, and to make fair compensation for the suffering and expenses that came from their neglect. We ask that You would provide for every need in the meantime, for our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 We also ask for wisdom and favor in pursuing what is right through lawful and peaceful means.
We encourage you not to grow weary while you wait, even though three months of silence is heavy. Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 27:14 God hears persistent prayer and He is not slow to act according to His perfect will. We also gently exhort you to guard your heart against bitterness while you seek justice. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 and do not avenge yourselves, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 That does not mean you should not seek what is rightfully owed, but that you entrust ultimate justice to the Lord while also using lawful, honest avenues that He has provided. Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you. Matthew 5:44 We pray you can forgive as God in Christ forgave us. Ephesians 4:32 even as you continue to pursue what is just.
In practical ways we encourage you to keep careful records of all communications, receipts, medical notes, repair invoices, and promises made, to seek wise counsel about tenant rights where you live, and to consider mediation or lawful assistance if needed, always acting with honesty and a clear conscience. Do to others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6:31 Let your conduct be marked by truth and peace, trusting the Lord to vindicate you.
We stand with you and we will continue to pray that the Lord brings this matter to a just and merciful resolution, that health is restored, that what has been withheld is returned, that threats cease, and that the hearts of those responsible are convicted to repent and do what is right, all for the glory of God in Jesus name, amen.
