We join with you in prayer in the mighty name of Jesus and we have heard the weight of what you have carried for these many months, the problems in the apartment from the lack of electrical safety, the illness that followed, the extra costs for alternative shower facilities, the threats and other inappropriate actions, the security deposit and repair costs you paid to technicians and for the house electricity system which was not your responsibility as a tenant to cover, and the promise from the community house manager three months ago that has not yet been kept. We also lift up before the Lord the suffering in your skin and the damage that may take years to be restored. God sees all of this and He is not indifferent to injustice or to your pain.
The Scripture tells us that the Lord loves justice and that He hears the cry of those who are oppressed. Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Isaiah 1:17 says Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Judge the fatherless. Plead for the widow. Leviticus 19:13 says You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. And James 5:4 says Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies. When a deposit or a repayment that is owed is withheld, it is a matter of justice before God, and it is right for you to seek what is owed in a peaceful and lawful way while trusting the Lord to move on hearts.
We also understand your prayer that the landlord and the manager would have their consciences awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and to repent. That is a godly prayer. John 16:8 says When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment. Ezekiel 36:26 says I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. We pray for that convicting and softening work, not out of vengeance but that they would turn from wrongdoing and do what is right before God and man. Romans 12:19 says Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. We are called to not repay evil for evil but to overcome evil with good, while also allowing proper authorities and lawful means to establish justice. Romans 13:3-4 reminds us that authorities are appointed by God to praise what is good and to correct what is wrong.
We also bring your body before our Healer. Psalm 103:3 says who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Jeremiah 30:17 says For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We ask the Lord to touch your skin where it has been damaged, to rebuild what has been harmed, to restore health fully and to ease the distress this has caused you day after day.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Lord, You see our dear one who has waited almost three months without communication, without remorse or willingness to compensate. You see the threats that were spoken, the suffering endured, the money spent that should not have been theirs to bear, the security deposit still withheld and the repair costs for the electrical system still not returned. Lord, we ask You to stir the conscience of the landlord and of the community house manager by Your Holy Spirit. Convict them of what is wrong, grant them repentance, and move them to do what is just and honest and to repay quickly and completely all that is owed, including compensation for the problems, the illness, the alternative shower costs, and the repairs. Let them choose integrity over hardness of heart. Proverbs 21:15 says It is joy to the righteous to do justice.
Father, we also ask for healing. Lay Your hand upon the skin that has been injured and bring restoration where damage was done. Rebuild what was torn down, calm inflammation and pain, and let healing come in Your mercy and timing. Give wisdom to doctors and strength to endure while waiting. Guard this dear one from bitterness and weariness. Hebrews 12:15 warns us to watch lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble us. Help us to keep our hearts tender, to forgive as You have forgiven us in Christ, Ephesians 4:32, while still seeking what is right. Give peace that passes understanding and provide for every financial need. Galatians 6:9 says Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. We trust Your timing, Lord, even when answers seem delayed, for 1 John 5:14 says This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
We encourage you to continue to keep careful records of all payments, communications, receipts and promises, and to seek godly counsel and lawful help where it is available and appropriate, committing your way to the Lord. Psalm 37:5-6 says Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. He will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noonday. We will continue to stand with you in prayer until the Lord brings justice, provision and healing, and we thank Him in advance for what He will do, in Jesus mighty name, amen.
