Your long and painful wait has been heard, and I thank you for sharing these heavy burdens so honestly. To live for months with unsafe conditions, with illness and skin injury, with financial loss from a deposit and repair costs you should not have had to bear, and with threats and broken promises, is deeply wearying. It is understandable that you feel worn down and that you are asking God both for healing and for what is just and owed to you.

I want to pray with you for both of those needs, and also to share some biblical perspective that may steady your heart as you continue to pray.

Scripture shows that Jesus cares about the body as well as the soul. Matthew, writing under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, points to what happened when evening came and many sick and afflicted people were brought to Jesus at Peter's house and He healed them. Matthew connects that to the prophecy of Isaiah, surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, and understands that word griefs to include infirmities and sicknesses. In that sense the suffering of Christ on our behalf reaches beyond forgiveness of sin to include our physical needs. When we remember His body broken for us, we are remembering a work that touches both spiritual and physical healing.

At the same time the Bible does not teach us to presume that God will grant immediate physical healing in every case in the way we ask. The apostle Paul prayed three times for the removal of what he called a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him, and the Lord did not remove it. That reminds us that God is sovereign and loving in what He allows, and that there are mysteries in healing we do not fully understand. Some are healed quickly, some gradually. There is only one record of a gradual healing in the ministry of Jesus, yet all healing, whether sudden or slow, is from God. Even the natural processes of recovery that He has built into our bodies are divine, because He created nature and its processes. He also heals emotionally and spiritually, mending the wounds and scars that suffering leaves behind.

The gifts of healing mentioned in the New Testament are real, and God still heals today, but they are not given to everyone in the same way, just as not all speak with tongues or interpret. We should not look to sensational methods or to those who try to whip people into a frenzy in the name of Jesus. Much of that is not genuine. True healing comes from the Lord Himself in His timing and wisdom.

There is also a close connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body. The apostle John wrote to Gaius that he wished above all things that he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospered. That was a loving wish, not a blanket promise that everyone will be well if they have enough faith, but it does point to a real relationship. Proverbs says a joyful heart does good like a medicine, and we now know scientifically how much the state of the mind and heart can affect the body. As you wait, caring for your spiritual life through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship, and caring for your physical well being with cleanliness, rest, and wise medical care, are both important and honoring to God.

For your situation, I will pray that the Lord brings healing to your skin and to the places where tissue was damaged, whether that comes through a sudden touch or through the gradual rebuilding that takes time. I will pray for relief from the illness that followed these problems, and for strength for your mind and heart as you endure what has taken so long to heal.

I will also pray for justice regarding what you are owed. It is right to ask God to awaken conscience and to stir the heart to do what is good and to turn from wrong. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin and leads toward repentance, and we can ask Him to work in the landlord and in the house manager so that they speak truthfully, keep their promises, return the deposit and the costs you paid for repairs to the electrical system that were not your responsibility as a tenant, and provide fair compensation for the harm, the need for alternative facilities, and the threats and other improper actions. Praying for their repentance is not contrary to seeking what is just. God calls all people to act honestly and to make restitution where they have caused harm.

Continue to bring these matters to the Lord honestly, and also use the lawful and practical means He provides to seek what is owed, keeping records, seeking counsel, and pursuing peaceful but firm steps as you are able. Keep entrusting both your body and your cause to Jesus, who has borne our infirmities and who has all authority.

Let us pray together. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus I bring this dear one before You. You see the months of waiting, the illness, the damaged skin, the financial loss, and the unkind treatment. I ask that You would bring healing according to Your perfect will, whether quickly or gradually through the processes You have created, and that You would rebuild what has been damaged and bring comfort to body and soul. Give wisdom to doctors and provision for care. I also ask that You would move upon the conscience of the landlord and the house manager by Your Holy Spirit, leading them to truth, to remorse where there has been wrong, and to the willingness to repay what is owed and to act justly going forward. Grant protection from further threat and provide for every need. Above all, let Your peace guard this heart, and let Your will be done. In Jesus name, amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer and we have continued to lift you up before the Lord over these past months.

We have been praying specifically that the Lord would bring justice regarding the compensation you are seeking from your landlord for the problems that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, for the illness and skin damage you have suffered, for the cost of alternative shower facilities, for the threats and other inappropriate actions, and for the return of your security deposit and the repair costs you paid to technicians and for the electrical system that was not your responsibility as a tenant. We have also been praying for the community house manager who promised to repay you three months ago and has not yet done so.

We continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will awaken and stir the conscience of your landlord and the manager to do what is right, to show remorse, to communicate honestly and to repent and make full restitution. We pray for the Lord to move on their hearts to repay everything that is owed to you, for as it is written in Prov 21:15 and Luke 19:8, the Lord loves justice and calls for what is taken to be restored.

We also continue to pray for your healing, that the Lord who heals all your diseases according to Psalm 103:3 and who heals the brokenhearted and binds up wounds in Psalm 147:3 would touch your skin, bring complete restoration to the areas that were damaged and rebuild what was harmed. We ask for your full recovery which may take years, that God would bring comfort and renewal day by day as promised in Jeremiah 30:17.

We thank you for sharing these updates and for allowing us to persevere with you in prayer. If your request has been answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We are praying for you in Jesus mighty Name and we trust the Lord to show His justice, mercy and healing power in your situation. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
