We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord and we thank you for asking in Jesus mighty name, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach the throne of grace.
We hear the weight of what you have endured, the lack of electrical safety in the apartment, the illness and skin damage that followed, the financial loss from alternative shower facilities, from repairs to the house electrical system that was not lawfully your responsibility, from the unpaid security deposit and technician costs, and the added pain of threats and inappropriate actions, with months passing without communication, remorse, or willingness to make things right. The Lord sees what has been done in secret and what has been withheld. He is not distant from injustice or from your suffering.
Scripture tells us, Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it Proverbs 3:27, and You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning Leviticus 19:13. We pray that what has been promised and what is owed would be restored. We also remember that He will bring justice, for Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow Isaiah 1:17, and When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous Proverbs 21:15. We do not seek revenge in our own spirit, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19, but we may boldly ask the Lord as the righteous Judge to act, to convict, and to move hearts toward repentance and restitution.
We pray for the landlord and for the community house manager, that the Holy Spirit would indeed awaken and stir their consciences. Jesus said, When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment John 16:8. We ask the Father to give them a new heart and to lead them to repent and to do what is right, that they would repay everything owed and turn from threats and dishonest dealing. We pray He would grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance Acts 3:19 and a heart to do good as He would change a heart of stone to a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26.
We also bring your body before the Great Physician. We are grieved to hear of the lasting damage to your skin and the long road of healing ahead. We ask for His mercy and restoration over you, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and He promises, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We pray that He would rebuild what was damaged, soothe inflammation and pain, restore your skin, and strengthen you day by day. We ask for His protection over you from any further harm or intimidation, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1.
We encourage you to continue to commit your way to the Lord and not grow weary in doing what is right. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this, he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noonday Psalm 37:5-6, and Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up Galatians 6:9. Like the persistent widow before the unjust judge who kept coming until justice was granted Luke 18:1-8, keep bringing your cause before God in prayer and also take wise and lawful steps, keep careful records of all costs, promises, communications, and medical needs, and seek godly and lawful counsel where you are able, so that truth is clearly established.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we lift our dear one to You. You see the months of waiting, the unpaid deposit and repair costs, the illness and skin affliction, and the unkind actions endured. Lord, we ask for Your justice and Your mercy to meet. Move upon the landlord and the community house manager to be convicted, to speak truthfully, to communicate, and to repay all that is owed without delay. Soften their hearts to repent and to act with honesty and integrity. Provide for every financial need and open doors for rightful compensation for the suffering, the alternative facilities, and the repairs. Touch this wounded body with Your healing hand, restore the skin and the tissues that were damaged, take away pain, and rebuild what was harmed, and grant peace to the heart that has carried this for so long. Guard against all threats and let no weapon formed against Your child prosper. Give wisdom for next steps, patience in waiting, and faith to trust that You are working even when silence seems long. We ask all this in Jesus name, amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting the Lord to bring justice, healing, and restoration in His perfect time and way.
