Beloved of All
Your request has been heard, and the long season of waiting without communication or any sign of remorse, together with the financial burden and the suffering in your body, is a heavy trial. It is right to bring both the need for justice and the need for healing before the Lord.
We will pray that the Holy Spirit stirs the conscience of your landlord and of the house manager, bringing conviction to do what is right and to turn from wrongdoing. Scripture shows that God is a God of righteousness and justice and He desires justice to prevail. Yet it also describes times when justice stands far off and truth seems to fall in the street, and even those who seek fairness in human courts find it uncertain. When people trust in empty excuses and speak what is not true, the foundations of fairness are shaken. God sees this. He is not indifferent to threats, to unfair actions, or to money that is owed and withheld. We will ask Him to move upon those who owe you the security deposit and the costs you paid for repairs that were not your responsibility as a tenant, including the electrical work, and to lead them to repay what is due. We will also pray that you are given wisdom to use the lawful means available to seek what is owed, while trusting God to be your ultimate judge and provider.
We will also pray for your body, especially for your skin where you were harmed and where healing may be slow. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Servant bearing our infirmities and sicknesses, and Matthew by the Spirit applies that prophecy to the physical healings Jesus performed when many sick and afflicted people were brought to Him. When we remember the bread of communion as His body broken for us, we are reminded that His suffering touches both our spiritual need and our physical need. At the same time Scripture does not teach that God wills instant physical healing in every case. Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh, and God did not remove it. The apostle also teaches that not all have the same gifts, and he asks, do all have gifts of healing, with the expected answer being no. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, and why some are healed quickly and others not remains in God's hands.
We believe God does heal, and He heals in different ways. Sometimes healing is immediate, sometimes it is gradual, as when Jesus healed a blind man in stages. Often healing comes through the natural processes God Himself established in our bodies, and that process is no less from Him because it works through nature. He who created nature ordained those processes. Healing also touches the whole person, physical, emotional and spiritual. There is a close connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body, as John wished for his friend that he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers, and as the proverb says a joyful heart does good like a medicine. We will pray for that kind of wholeness for you as well.
So we will ask the Lord in Jesus name to lay His hand upon your skin, to rebuild what was damaged, to ease pain and to bring restoration in His timing and way, whether through a gradual recovery or through the healing processes He has placed in the body. We will ask Him to comfort your mind and heart during this long strain, to guard your health, and to provide for your daily needs including safe housing and clean facilities for washing. We will continue to ask Him to bring about what is just concerning the compensation for the electrical dangers, the illness that followed, the alternative facilities you had to pay for, and all the repair costs you carried.
May the Lord show you His nearness, give you peace as you wait on Him, and work in the hearts of those responsible to act honestly and to make restitution. We entrust you to His care and mercy through Jesus Christ.
