We join with you in prayer in Jesus' mighty name and we bring your situation before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to act with justice, mercy, and healing.
We hear your cry after these many months of waiting with no communication, no remorse, and no willingness from your landlord to make right what was done. We understand the burden you carry, having paid for repairs to the electrical system that was not your responsibility as a tenant, having paid technicians out of your own pocket, and still waiting for your security deposit and the repair costs to be returned both by the landlord and by the community house manager who promised repayment three months ago. We also lift up the suffering you have endured in your body, the illness that developed, the threats and inappropriate actions, and the damage to your skin that may take years to heal. The Lord sees all of this and He is not indifferent to it.
The Scripture tells us that the Lord loves justice, Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne Psalm 89:14, and that He defends those who are wronged. Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed Isaiah 1:17. We are also reminded not to withhold what is due, You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning Leviticus 19:13, and that when restitution is required it should be made fully, as Zacchaeus declared, If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much Luke 19:8. Your request for compensation for the electrical dangers, the costs of alternative shower facilities, the repair bills, and the deposit is a request for what is right and lawful, not for vengeance, and we pray that those who owe you will be moved to restore what is owed.
We also pray for the conscience of your landlord and the house manager. We ask that the Holy Spirit will awaken and stir their hearts, that He will give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them Ezekiel 36:26, and that they will be brought to repentance. We pray that they will turn from hardness and do good, that they will keep their promises and act with honesty. God desires all to come to repentance Acts 3:19, and we pray that even in this difficult dispute, their souls would be convicted to do what is right before God and before you.
We lift up your health to the Great Physician. We pray for complete healing of your skin and for restoration where damage was done, for the illness that came from these conditions to be fully healed. We cling to His promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17, and Bless Yahweh, my soul, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We pray that the Lord will rebuild what was harmed, ease your pain, and restore your strength day by day, and that He will give wisdom to any doctors or caregivers who help you.
We encourage you to continue to walk in both grace and wisdom. While we pray for justice, we also remember, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. This does not mean you should abandon lawful recourse, but that you can pursue what is rightfully yours through proper and peaceful means while entrusting the outcome to God. Keep careful records of all payments, communications, promises made, and expenses incurred, and seek godly and, if needed, legal counsel about the return of your deposit and repair costs. Continue to be patient as you wait on the Lord, for He will bring justice in His time, and He will not forsake His saints Psalm 37:28.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our dear one who has suffered for so long. Lord, You see the unsafe conditions, the financial loss, the threats endured, and the illness and damage to the body. We ask You to touch and heal, to restore skin and health completely according to Your mercy. Lord, we ask You to move upon the hearts of the landlord and the house manager. Awaken their consciences by Your Holy Spirit, convict them of what is right, and lead them to repentance and to action, that they would promptly return the security deposit and all repair costs and provide just compensation for the suffering and costs that were wrongfully placed on Your child. Let no dishonest gain remain, but let truth and integrity prevail. Give our loved one peace while waiting, provision for every need, and protection from further harm. Let Your justice be seen and Your healing be made complete, that You may be glorified. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our access to the Father and our hope. Amen.
We stand with you and we will continue to pray that the Lord will provide restoration, healing, and a swift and just resolution, and that His peace which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart Philippians 4:7 as you wait on Him.
