Your long wait and the weight you have carried have been heard, and I am grieving with you over the ongoing strain on your body, your home, and your finances. To live for months with unsafe conditions, to pay out of your own pocket for repairs that were not your responsibility, to face threats instead of care, and to see no return of what you are owed, would weary anyone. The added pain of skin damage that may take a long time to mend makes the burden even heavier.

I join you in praying that the one who owes you what is just will do what is right. Scripture is very clear that God sees when a neighbor is made to serve for nothing and wages are withheld. The prophet Jeremiah speaks a woe against the one who builds by unrighteousness and injustice and does not give his neighbor his wages. The Lord defends the poor and calls those who hold power to act justly. It is right to ask the Holy Spirit to awaken conscience, to bring conviction that leads to repentance, and to move hearts to make restitution. I am praying that God will stir that conscience toward honesty, that communication will be restored, and that the security deposit and the costs you paid for technicians and for the electrical system will be repaid in full.

I also join you in praying for your body. The Bible teaches that Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, as Isaiah foretold and Matthew confirms when he describes Jesus healing all who were brought to Him in the evening at Peter's house. When we remember the bread of communion as His body broken for us, we are reminded that His suffering touches both our spiritual need and our physical need. God does care about physical suffering and He does heal, and He is able to heal today.

At the same time Scripture helps us keep a balanced hope. The apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed, and God did not remove it but gave grace to endure it. Not everyone is healed in this life, and when healing does not come it is wrong to say it must be because of hidden sin or lack of faith. The gifts of healing are real, but they are distributed as the Spirit wills, and not every person has the same gift.

Healing itself takes different forms. There is one account in the ministry of Jesus where healing came gradually, and we see in ordinary life that God often heals gradually through the processes He built into our bodies. That gradual work is no less divine than an instant touch, because the One who created nature also created its processes of repair. Physical cleanliness and care for the body matter for health, and it is right to seek good care while also asking God to rebuild what has been damaged. I am praying that the areas of skin that were harmed will be restored, whether through a quiet, step by step recovery over time or through His direct mercy, according to His wisdom and love.

Jesus often met physical needs with compassion, never using power for Himself but freely for others, and He has authority over the physical realm as well as the spiritual. Prayer reaches into that spiritual reality that we cannot see but that is very real. You can bring this need before the Lord directly, and you can also invite the elders to pray for you, as James instructs, that the prayer of faith offered in the name of Jesus would be lifted for the sick.

So let me pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ who alone is our Savior, I bring this dear one before You. You see the unsafe dwelling, the illness, the financial loss, the threats, and the long months without answer. Bring justice where it is owed, soften and awaken the conscience of the landlord and the manager to speak truthfully and to repay what is due. Protect from further harm and intimidation. Lay Your hand upon the damaged skin and bring healing in the way You know is best, restoring and rebuilding what has been injured, and give peace to the mind and heart while the body waits. Provide for every practical need, including a safe place to wash and live, and give wisdom for each next step. Grant grace to endure and faith to trust Your goodness even in waiting. Amen.

Please continue to seek the Lord, to care for your health with every good means He has provided, and to let trusted believers pray with you and walk with you. God knows your situation fully and He has not overlooked it.
