Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for a month, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation where you have endured electric shocks, illness, and mistreatment due to the negligence of your landlord. The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 31:8-9, "Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." We stand on this truth, believing that God sees your suffering and will move on your behalf.

Heavenly Father, we ask You to intervene in this situation. We pray that the landlord’s heart would be softened and convicted by the Holy Spirit to take responsibility for the harm caused. Lord, awaken their conscience to the pain and injustice they have allowed, and grant them a spirit of repentance. We declare that justice will prevail, and compensation will be provided for the medical treatments, skin problems, and all the hardships endured. We rebuke any spirit of greed, indifference, or hardness of heart that would prevent restitution, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ mighty name.

We also pray for your healing, both physically and emotionally. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May you feel His comfort and strength as you wait on Him. We ask that God would provide for your needs, including safe shower facilities, and that He would open doors for resolution where man has failed.

Father, we know that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19), and we trust You to act on behalf of the oppressed. We declare that this landlord will not escape accountability, and that their actions, or lack thereof, will be exposed in the light of Your truth. Give wisdom to those in authority to ensure justice is served.

Lastly, we encourage you to remain steadfast in faith. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Keep trusting in the Lord, and do not lose heart. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God will turn this trial into a testimony of His faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We’ve been sitting with your update, and we’re so sorry this has dragged on without a word from your landlord. When someone is already dealing with physical pain and the stress of unsafe living conditions, silence from the person responsible can feel like a second wound. It makes sense that you’re weary.

One of the quiet gifts the book of Job gives us is simply this: Job’s friends showed up and sat with him in the dirt for a full week before they ever spoke. What we notice is that their presence mattered before any answer did. You’ve been carrying this alone for a month, and while we can’t physically be present with you, we want you to know you are seen and heard right now, that your frustration is not off-base or faithless. It’s a normal response to being ignored after real harm has been done.

A concrete step that may help: if you haven’t already, start a simple written record, dates of the shocks and symptoms, any medical visits, copies of communication with the landlord, and receipts for the shower pass or other costs. Even just a few notes in a notebook can give you something solid to point to later, and often a local tenants’ rights group or a free legal clinic can offer clarity on what compensation looks like in your area. Many people find that having even one short consultation lifts some of the weight of helplessness.

We also want to gently encourage you not to let the skin problems or any symptoms from the electric shocks go unaddressed. Please have a doctor take a look if you haven’t yet. Doing so isn’t a lack of faith; it’s part of caring for the body while we ask God to move the heart of the one who should make this right.

You’ve held on while seeking prayer and doing the right thing. That takes real grit, and we’re grateful you’ve brought this here again.

Jesus, we bring this tenant before you now. You know the exhaustion, the physical toll, and the disappointment of being unheard. Please move the landlord’s heart, awaken conscience where there’s been numbness, and clear the way for just compensation and honest communication. Give our friend steady patience and a wise next step, and bring someone nearby who can stand in their corner practically. Protect their health and grant them moments of rest in the middle of this unsettled season. We ask this in your name, Jesus.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Judgment may produce a carnal repentance, a repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of the sinful nature of men. Such repentance as that is, to a large extent, sheer hypocrisy. It gives to men a kind of rest of conscience, which rest of conscience is injurious to them, since it lulls them to sleep and enables them to wake and return to their sin as if nothing had happened.

True repentance gives God glory. Here are scales and balances for you wherewith you may weigh your repentance before God. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant, and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart; the repentance which purges the soul from dead works, and the faith that fills the soul with living works; the repentance which pulls down, and the faith which builds up.

There is this clause in the lease, which I am afraid some have never observed, namely, that the Landlord has at all times the right to enter and leave His own property. We are never right till we are right with conscience and conscience tells us that we are never right till we are right with God. I desire that all of us may offer the key of our house to the Great Landlord and acknowledge that we live on sufferance as His tenants.

When conscience did speak, you said, “Lay down, sir, be quiet!” When God’s word came home sharp to you, you tried to blunt its edge, you did not want to feel it. My dear hearer, let me assure you for your comfort, that when you go down on your knees and say “Lord, I groan before thee, because I cannot groan; I cannot feel; Lord help me to feel;” why, you do feel, and you have got the repentance that you are asking for. He is exalted on high to give repentance and remission of sins; not merely the remission, but the repentance too. He gives repentance not to those who repent themselves, but to those who cannot repent.

Repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. True repentance will yield works meet for repentance, it will be practical repentance. You may know whether your repentance is practical by this test. Does it last or does it not?

You speak of compensation, and rightly so, for you have suffered harm. Yet take the greatest care that a thirst for earthly recompense from this landlord does not become a snare to your own soul. The testimony of a clear conscience, maintaining simplicity and godly sincerity even when wronged, is a far greater glorying than any money recovered. If you nurse a grievance until it becomes a demand for payment, you risk exchanging your inner peace for a paltry sum, sparing your money but being unsparing of your own soul. Does not a bright conscience, rejoicing in doing what is right, afford a consolation no sum of gold can match?

Consider this. To be afflicted unjustly and yet to give thanks, this is true philosophy and a mark of the highest Christian nobility. When your circumstances cry out for you to blaspheme, to exclaim discontentedly against a hard-hearted landlord, and instead you give thanks to God, you accomplish a mighty deed. You rejoice God. You shame the devil, who is the real author of this conflict, and he departs from you. You even make the suffering itself to be as nothing, for the soul that is thankful and bright within cannot long be sad. But if you cry out only for your rights and are embittered, the devil stands by, having gained his wish, and your calamity is only heightened. Which do you desire more: the landlord’s money, which moth and rust corrupt, or this swift deliverance and spiritual victory?

You pray for a stirring of his conscience, and this is a right petition, for God’s long-suffering is meant to lead him to repentance. But understand what true repentance is. Do not think it is a mere pang of regret, a fear of consequences, or a temporary shame. Esau sought a change of his father’s mind with a torrent of tears, yet found no place for true repentance, for his heart was set on murdering Jacob as soon as the moment of grief had passed. Many a man, when his conscience plucks at him, pretends not to know, lest he be tortured, and so he grows even more resolute in wickedness. Pray not just that the landlord feels a fleeting remorse, but that the Holy Spirit grants him a true and lasting change of heart that produces the fruit of just restitution. If he does not, then know that his very hard-heartedness, like Pharaoh’s, is fitting him for destruction, while God’s long-suffering with him becomes the background against which your own patient endurance shines forth.

If, after a month, there is no communication and no remorse, do not despair as though God does not see. The silence of the oppressor is not the silence of God. The very delay that fills you with anxiety is God’s long-suffering, giving space for repentance. But if the landlord will not use this space for amendment, then his refusal only stores up a more fearful judgment for himself. Do not make God’s patience a plea for your own vexation. Instead, entrust vengeance and recompense to the tribunal which the conscience and the Lord Himself will supply. Your glorying is the testimony of your conscience that you have not returned evil for evil. This is your enduring possession, which no landlord’s threats can seize. Let the pain of this trial turn your eyes not to his bank account, but to your own soul’s preparation for the age to come. In this, you become a companion of the Apostles who rejoiced to be counted worthy to suffer shame. And what your landlord owes you, that debt is recorded not in an earthly court ledger, but in the unerring books of heaven.

It’s painful when someone refuses to do what is right, especially after you’ve suffered real harm. The enemy would love to use this silence and injustice to plant a deeper question in your heart, something like, “How can a God of love allow this to drag on?” That thought, subtle as it feels, is an assault on the very character of God. And I believe the Lord wants to guard you from letting this hardship become a foothold for doubt.

Bring your need to Him boldly. Pray that the Holy Spirit will stir the landlord’s conscience, yes, but even more, cling to the truth that God’s justice is not broken just because it hasn’t yet appeared in the way you long for. He sees every electric shock, every skin affliction, every threat. He is not indifferent. His timing often stretches our faith, but it never mocks His righteousness. I will join you in asking for full compensation and relief. I will also pray that your own heart stays steady, refusing to accuse the Lord of unfairness, and instead rests in the promise that the Judge of all the earth will do what is right. He is your Healer and your Defender; don’t let the delay deceive you into thinking He has overlooked your suffering.
