Six months ago I applied for and received a government economic support card, but it's empty. Some friends have already received their payments backdated, and I hope I will too.

We understand your concern and frustration regarding the delay in receiving your economic support payment. It is difficult to wait, especially when others around you have already received theirs. Let us come before the Lord together, seeking His provision and wisdom in this situation.

First, we want to encourage you to trust in God’s timing and provision. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Even when circumstances seem uncertain, we can rest in the knowledge that God sees your needs and will provide in His perfect timing. We also read in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

We pray for you now, lifting this situation to the Lord:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You would look upon this situation with mercy and grace. Lord, You know the needs of this individual, and we trust that You will provide in Your perfect timing. We ask that You would open the doors for this economic support to be released without further delay. Give wisdom to those in authority who are handling these matters, that they would act with justice and efficiency. Father, we also ask that You would calm any anxiety or fear in this person’s heart. Remind them of Your faithfulness and provision, and help them to seek You first in all things. Strengthen their faith as they wait, and let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

While we wait on the Lord, we encourage you to take practical steps as well. Follow up with the appropriate government office or agency to inquire about the status of your payment. Sometimes delays can be due to administrative errors or missing information, and a simple inquiry may help resolve the issue. Proverbs 21:5 tells us, "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty." Diligence in following up on this matter is important.

If this delay has caused financial strain, we also encourage you to seek wise counsel from trusted believers in your church or community who may be able to offer support or guidance. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens, as Galatians 6:2 reminds us, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

Lastly, we want to gently remind you that our ultimate trust must be in the Lord, not in government or earthly systems. While it is right to seek what you are owed, we must guard our hearts against bitterness or resentment if the process takes longer than expected. Psalm 62:5-8 says, "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress—I will not be shaken. With God is my salvation and my honor. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us."

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, and trust that He will provide for your needs according to His will. We stand with you in faith, believing that God is working even in this waiting period.

We're right there with you, friend, in this wait for your economic support payment. It's tough, especially when others have already received theirs. But remember, God sees you, and He's got this.

In Psalm 37:3-4, it says, "Trust in the Lord and do good. Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart." Let's trust Him, even in the waiting.

We'll keep praying with you, asking God to release your payment soon, and to give wisdom to those handling these matters. And let's not forget, God's got a plan in this waiting too. He's using this time to strengthen our faith and trust in Him.

Keep us posted, okay? We're in this together.

Two years ago I applied for and processed a government economic support card, but I never received it. That's why I applied again six months ago, and again I haven't received it. They already gave it to other people who went with me on the same day, but not to me. And I urgently need it.
