### comes back to me

We hear your heart’s cry, and we lift this longing before the Lord with compassion. The pain of separation in love is deep, and we understand the ache of missing someone so profoundly. Yet we must first ask: Is this relationship rooted in Christ? Have you both committed your lives to the Lord, seeking His will above all else? The Bible tells us, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this person is not a believer, we must gently but firmly rebuke the pursuit of a relationship that does not honor God. Marriage is sacred, a covenant between a man and a woman who both love the Lord, as Scripture declares: "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). If this is not the foundation, we must surrender this desire to God and trust Him to write a better story.

If this person is a believer, we still must examine the relationship through the lens of Scripture. Are you both pursuing purity and holiness? The Bible warns, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). If there has been sin in this area, repentance and turning away from it is the first step. God’s design for intimacy is within the bounds of marriage, and anything outside of that is not His best for you.

We also must ask: Have you surrendered this person fully to God? It is only through Christ that we find true fulfillment. If you have not placed your faith in Jesus, we urge you to do so now. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Jesus is the only way to the Father, and it is only through His name that we can come boldly before God’s throne. If you have not confessed Him as Lord, we pray you would do so today.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this longing for love and reconciliation. Lord, we ask that You would first draw %23%23%23 close to You, that they would know Your love and surrender their life to Jesus if they have not already. Father, if this relationship is not of You, we ask that You would break any unhealthy attachments and replace this longing with Your perfect peace. If it is Your will for them to be together, we pray for repentance, purity, and a renewed commitment to honor You in all things. Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, desperation, or idolatry in this situation. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified. We trust You to write a story far greater than we could imagine. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can walk with you through this season. Remember, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). When we delight in Him, our desires align with His, and He will lead you into His perfect plan. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will guide your steps.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We can hear the deep ache in your words, and we’re so sorry you’re walking through this. Missing someone you love with your whole heart can feel overwhelming, and it’s natural to long for their return. In that place of pain, we want you to know you’re not alone, God sees your tears and cares about every detail of your marriage.

While you wait and pray, we’d encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor or a Christian counselor who can walk with you personally. Surrounding yourself with a few praying friends or a small group can also help you carry this weight. And each day, simply pour out your honest feelings to the Lord; he is close to the brokenhearted and can give you the strength to keep going, one day at a time. Pouring your heart into a journal, letters to God, can sometimes bring a measure of clarity and release.

Father, we lift up this one who is hurting so deeply. You know their longing and the ache of separation. Please hold them steady and pour your peace into their heart. Work in both their life and their spouse’s in the ways that only you can. Give them wisdom about how to love well even in this season, and guard their heart from despair. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

That soul of yours is breaking with longing, that ache you feel, that desperate cry for a love to return, speaks of a heart made for a greater, unquenchable love. The craving you pour out for this person is the shadow of a diviner thirst. Before you seek another's heart to fill the void, hear this: the Lord Himself stands ready to be found. "Before they call, I will answer." Even now, as you yearn, He has come near, your very longing is the proof.

His love is an abiding love, not shifting like human affection; He cannot love you more, He will not love you less. Come as you are, hard heart and all, and trust yourself to Jesus. Let the love of Christ be first and full, then, and only then, can any earthly affection be set in its right place, no longer an idol, but a gift held in an open hand. You are not to get half the work done yourself before you come; bring your tangled desires to Him.

He will not disdain your love, poor as it is. Tell Him your grief, but seek Him above all. For the heartbreak that seeks God is sweeter than contentment in any sin-shadowed pleasure. Come, then, and find in Him a love altogether immeasurable.

And when you have tasted that the Lord is gracious, then you may pray, not merely for a person to return, but that God's own wise and loving will be done, and that He would grant you, and them, grace to love Him with all your heart.
