Please pray that the reputation of whores living in my rented house be cleared. That I find persons who will stay in the empty rooms.

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this situation to Him in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. First, we must acknowledge that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that we are saved. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Now, regarding the reputation of the house, we understand the concern and the desire for godly tenants. The Bible warns us about the company we keep and the environments we allow to form around us. 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, "Don’t be deceived! Evil companionships corrupt good morals." The presence of sin in the home, such as sexual immorality, can indeed bring spiritual contamination and hinder the blessings God desires to pour out.

We must first rebuke the spirit of immorality and uncleanness that has been associated with this house. The Bible is clear that sexual sin is not to be taken lightly. Hebrews 13:4 states, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We stand in agreement with God’s Word and declare that this house is to be a place of righteousness, peace, and godly living. We command every ungodly influence to leave in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father God, we come before You with boldness, asking for Your cleansing and restoration over this home. We pray that You would break every ungodly tie and reputation that has been attached to it. Lord, let Your blood, shed on the cross, cleanse this place from all defilement and unrighteousness. We declare that this house is covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the homeowner in selecting new tenants. Lord, bring people who fear You, who will walk in integrity, and who will honor You in their lives. Proverbs 2:7-8 says, "He stores up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity; that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints." We ask that You would send godly individuals to fill these empty rooms, people who will be a blessing and not a stumbling block.

We encourage you to take practical steps as well. Pray over the house, anointing the doors and rooms with oil if you feel led, as a symbol of dedicating this home to the Lord. Invite believers to pray with you, standing in agreement for God’s will to be done. Additionally, consider setting clear expectations for future tenants that align with biblical principles, ensuring that the home is a place where God’s presence can dwell.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14). We declare that this house will no longer be associated with sin but will be a beacon of light and a place of refuge for those who love You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

While we can’t wave a magic wand over the property’s past, we do believe God is not limited by old stories. The reputation can change as the real story changes: fresh tenants, a well-kept yard, and the quiet, steady prayer of a landlord who cares can slowly shift what neighbours say. In the meantime, a practical step you might find freeing is to physically walk through each room and simply ask the Lord to fill this house with His peace and purpose, dedicating the space for honest occupants. Some of our own number have also invited a pastor or a few trusted believers to join them in that kind of simple prayer-walk, not a dramatic ritual, just an act of faith that the house belongs to Him.

When you show the rooms, screen prospective tenants wisely. Look for people of steady character; God often sends the right person in an unexpected way. Let your own integrity as a landlord speak louder than the old reputation ever could.

Let us pray with you now:

Father, we bring this rented house before You in Jesus’ name. You see every empty room and every rumour that clings to its walls. We ask You to clear its reputation in the neighbourhood, let a new chapter begin, so that past shadows no longer drive away honest tenants. Lead the owner to the right people to fill those rooms: people of peace who will prosper there. Protect this property and provide for its upkeep. And for any from the past still in darkness, we ask for Your mercy to draw them into a different life. Thank You that You make all things new. Amen.

Your prayer concerning the house let ariseth from a natural desire, yet look deeper, for every dwelling is but held from the Great Landlord at His pleasure. We are mere tenants at will without a lease. The earthly house of this tabernacle belongeth to Him that built it. Before you seek new occupants, set your own heart and that habitation in order.

Let there be no more shelter given to that which defileth, for God’s house is not lawless, and our God is a consuming fire: they that dwell with Him must be holy. A house once stained with fornication cannot be cleansed by merely clearing its name among men; the very walls cry out for purging. See to it that no further wickedness be permitted under that roof, and pray rather that the Lord would send those who fear Him to fill the empty rooms. For the ones who have sinned there, ask not only that their reproach be removed, but that mercy might overtake them, for the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s dear Son, cleanseth from all sin.

They are as lost silver, and the house may yet be swept that they might be found. Offer the key of that house to the Great Landlord, and trust Him to establish its peace. Go now, set thy house in order, and wait on the Lord.

You are troubled over the name your house has gotten, and you pray for its reputation to be cleared and for new tenants to fill the empty rooms. I hear this, and I sorrow for you, because you are doing just as one who, seeing a house decaying and the walls giving way, neglects to raise these up and instead busies himself building fine fences without. The soul is the dwelling that must be tended first; the outward house and its fame among men are but a painted mask. Why do you admire such trifles? The glory that men gives is an imitation, not true glory. It is empty, and when the theater of this life breaks up, each appears what he really is.

Consider what you ask. You desire the rooms to be occupied, but what will fill them? If you merely sweep the house clean of its former ill name, yet leave it empty of righteous living, the unclean spirit that went out will return with seven others more wicked, and the last state of that house will be worse than the first. Do not labor so much over what the neighbors say, but labor to fill your own heart and those rooms with the fear of God and works of mercy. That is the only reputation worth seeking.

And why do you fear the reproach of men? Christ pleased not Himself, and the reproaches of those who reproached God fell on Him. Shall the servant be above his Master? If you are a Christian, you have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Fix your eyes there, and the empty rooms of earth will not weigh on you so. Let your goods go before you to that country: almsgiving, hospitality, charity. These are true wealth, not the filling of rooms with mere bodies. Pray rather that your house may be a spiritual surgery for the healing of souls, and God will send the right persons in His time. But cease from this anxious grasping at a clean name. The tongue of men is nothing. Work with confidence and leave the future to God’s mercy, for it is labor, not fear, that brings safety.

So make your prayer this: that you may be wise enough to despise the empty masks of human glory, and that whatever tenants come, they may find a dwelling filled with the sweet savor of Christ, and that you yourself may depart one day to that house not made with hands. Then you will understand how small a thing it was to fret over who lived in a few rented rooms.

I am lifting up your rented house before the Lord, asking Him to do what only He can. When a place becomes known for whoredom and defilement, the stain is not just a matter of human reputation, it is a spiritual thing. The prophet Hosea saw a horrible thing in the house of Israel: the whoredom that defiled the land and made their houses empty of good fruit. Yet even in that, God’s desire was to heal and restore. I am praying that same healing for this property.

A house that has been used for wickedness can be transformed. In the Scriptures, Bethel, the house of God, became Beth-Avon, the house of idols and wickedness, because the people turned away from the Lord and set up their sinful worship there. But God still called them back to that very place where they first encountered Him. He is able to overturn a sullied reputation and make the dwelling a place of blessing once more. I am asking Him to clear the name of your house, to break any lingering spiritual heaviness attached to it, and to bring you tenants who will fill those empty rooms with righteousness and peace.

Do not grow anxious over the vacant spaces. An empty vine, as Hosea’s prophecy warns, brings forth fruit only for itself and ends up barren. But you can entrust this to the Lord. He has power to cause fruit to flourish where there has been only emptiness. Seek His face earnestly. Ask Him to send people who will dwell there in godliness, so that the house becomes a place where mercy, judgment, and waiting on God are practiced, not a house of idols but a house where the living God is honored. I will continue to pray that He breaks every snare tied to that address and provides what is needed, for He is the God who rebuilds, restores, and makes all things new.
