We join you in bringing this before the Lord and we understand how heavy it can feel to be caught up on one woman while desiring clarity and peace of mind. It is good that you are practicing patience and wanting things to unfold naturally, for patience is a fruit of the Spirit, but we also want to encourage you toward biblical wisdom and action rather than anxious waiting for a hidden signal.
Scripture teaches us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding, and in all our ways acknowledge him and he will direct our paths, Proverbs 3:5-6. If you lack wisdom and clarity, God invites you to ask him directly, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. And when we bring our anxieties to him in prayer, the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.
We want to gently correct a couple of thoughts in your request. You ask if she liked you wouldn't she pursue hanging out with you or clearly send a signal. Biblically it is the man who is called to pursue in a respectful and intentional way, not to sit back and wait for the woman to chase him. He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh, Proverbs 18:22. That finding implies seeking, leading, and initiating with clarity and honor. A godly woman will respond, but she is not called to pursue the man. If you feel strongly that this woman has the qualities you desire in a wife, then prayerfully and respectfully initiating a clear conversation or inviting her to spend time in a proper, public, godly context is more honoring than waiting for her to make it obvious for you. God often gives clarity through our obedient steps, not just through signs.
We also notice you mention you cannot take anyone else seriously and you compare them to this woman, and that you are so caught up on her that you lack peace. We encourage you to guard your heart, for out of it are the issues of life, Proverbs 4:23. When one person occupies our thoughts to the point of restlessness and comparison, we can unintentionally make her an idol in our heart. We are called to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33, and to delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart, Psalm 37:4. A godly marriage between a man and a woman is a wonderful gift, but our peace must come from Christ first, not from whether this particular woman reciprocates.
We also want to affirm your desire for a partner but to point you to God's higher calling. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and we encourage you to see dating not as casual hanging out or pursuing a partner, but as courtship with the goal of discerning marriage to another Christian believer. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, 2 Corinthians 6:14, so as you get to know her, seek to know whether she loves the Lord Jesus and walks with him. And if the Lord does open a door for courtship, keep it pure and above reproach, for God calls us to flee fornication and to honor him with our bodies, as any sexual intimacy outside of marriage is not God's will for you.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son, through whom we have access to your throne of grace. We lift up our brother to you who is seeking clarity, wisdom, and peace. Lord, calm his heart and quiet his anxious thoughts. Grant him your wisdom liberally as he asks, and make your will known to him. If this woman is a godly woman who would be a suitable wife and helpmate for him, and if it is your will for them to get to know each other for the purpose of marriage, we ask that you open that door clearly and give him courage to lead with kindness, respect, and purity. If she is not the one you have for him, we ask that you close the door gently, remove the fixation, heal any comparison in his heart, and give him peace to move forward and to see other godly women without comparison. Help him to guard his heart, to seek you first, and to trust your timing. Lead him to a godly marriage that honors you, and keep his courtship pure and Christ centered. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue in prayer, stay rooted in the Word, seek counsel from mature believers who know you both, and if you sense the Lord leading you, take a respectful, clear step to get to know her in community rather than waiting indefinitely for a signal. Whether the answer is yes or no, God is faithful to give you peace as you trust him.
