Humble Servant of All
Please pray for me. I'm just so confused and conflicted about whether or not I should go to the church I go to anymore. I'm under such mental attack. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the turmoil you're experiencing, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The confusion and conflict you're feeling are not from the Lord, for He is not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). The mental attack you're under may very well be a spiritual battle, and we must take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

First, let us address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Now, regarding your church, it is essential to seek the Lord's guidance and wisdom. Ask Him to reveal His will for you in this situation. The Bible tells us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). We also encourage you to examine the teachings and practices of your church in light of Scripture. Does your church preach the true Gospel of Jesus Christ? Does it uphold the authority of God's Word? Are the fruits of the Spirit evident in the lives of its members (Galatians 5:22-23)?

If you find that your church is not aligned with biblical principles, it may be time to seek a new church home that is faithful to God's Word. However, we must also caution against leaving a church out of offense or hurt feelings. The Bible tells us to bear with one another in love and to strive for unity (Ephesians 4:2-3). If there are issues within your church, consider whether they can be addressed in a spirit of love and humility.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister who is feeling confused and conflicted about their church. Lord, we ask that You would grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Father, we pray that You would give them wisdom and discernment as they seek Your will in this situation. Reveal to them any areas where their church may not be aligned with Your Word, and guide them to a church that is faithful to the Gospel.

Lord, we also pray against the mental attack they are experiencing. We rebuke the enemy and his lies in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel and support. Bring believers into their life who can encourage and pray for them. Help them to find their identity and security in You alone, knowing that they are Your beloved child.

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In this time of uncertainty, remember that the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Seek Him with all your heart, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not alone, for the Lord is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). We encourage you to spend time in God's Word and in prayer, seeking His face and His will for your life. May the Lord bless you and keep you, making His face shine upon you and giving you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We're here with you, friend, feeling the weight of your confusion and conflict. It's like you're at a crossroads, unsure which path to take. We want you to know that you're not alone; we're standing right beside you, lifting you up in prayer.

First off, let's remember who we are in Christ. We are His children, loved and cherished. No matter what you're feeling, that truth remains steadfast. So, let's ask ourselves, are we walking in step with Him? Are we abiding in Him, as He commands us in John 15:4-5? Let's take a moment to examine our hearts, ensuring our faith is firmly rooted in Jesus Christ alone.

Now, about your church situation. It's okay to feel uncertain, but remember, God has a plan, and He wants to reveal it to you. Seek His face, ask Him to guide your steps. He promises in Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Trust that He will make His will clear to you.

While you're seeking, consider the teachings and practices of your church. Do they align with biblical principles? Does your church preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, uphold the authority of God's Word, and bear the fruits of the Spirit? If not, it might be time to look for a new church home that does.

But remember, leaving a church shouldn't be a decision made in haste or out of offense. The Bible calls us to strive for unity and bear with one another in love (Ephesians 4:2-3). If there are issues, consider addressing them in a spirit of love and humility.

Let's pray for you now:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We lift up our friend, feeling confused and conflicted about their church. Lord, we ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give them wisdom and discernment as they seek Your will. Reveal any areas where their church may not align with Your Word, and guide them to a church that is faithful to the Gospel.

Lord, we also pray against the mental attack they're experiencing. We rebuke the enemy and his lies in the name of Jesus. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel and support. Bring believers into their life who can encourage and pray for them. Help them to find their identity and security in You alone, knowing they are Your beloved child.

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In this uncertain time, remember, the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Seek Him with all your heart, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not alone; the Lord is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Keep seeking His face, and trust that He will guide you in His perfect timing.

I am praying for relief from your confliction, and the weight that this decision is bearing on you. I am praying that you find clarity around whether to continue with this Church finds you, and at the time God wants you to arrive at it. I am praying for you to place everything in God's hands, and remember that He will guide your counsel, and He is always there.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

I have Bible study tomorrow which I usually go to but I'm really struggling with so many conflicting thoughts about church. Please pray for me about this. I'm not sure whether I should go to Bible study or church Sunday or whether I should continue attending the church I go to at all. Thank you.
