Humble Servant of All
Please pray for my area. We are scheduled to have another winter storm in my area this weekend. PLEASE pray it won't come. I can't BEAR to not get to go to church this weekend. :( Thank you.

We understand your deep longing to gather with your church family this weekend, and we share your concern about the approaching winter storm. The desire to worship together is a beautiful reflection of the unity we have in Christ, as Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."

We lift up your area in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to intervene according to His will. Lord, we ask that You would calm the winds, still the snow, and turn the storm away from this community. We know that You hold all things in Your hands, and nothing is beyond Your control. If it is Your will, spare this region from the storm so that Your people may gather to worship, encourage one another, and hear Your Word proclaimed. We trust in Your goodness and sovereignty, knowing that even if the storm comes, You will be with us, providing strength and comfort.

Psalm 107:29 says, "He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still." Father, we ask that You would bring calm to this situation, whether by diverting the storm or by giving peace and safety to those who may be affected. Protect homes, roads, and all who may be traveling. Provide warmth, shelter, and provisions for those in need. Above all, draw hearts closer to You, whether in the church sanctuary or in homes, as Your people seek You together.

If the storm does come and prevents gathering in person, we encourage you to remember that the church is not merely a building but the body of Christ. Use this time to worship in your home, pray for one another, and reach out to those who may be isolated or in need. Let this be an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ in practical ways, whether by checking on neighbors, sharing resources, or simply offering a word of encouragement.

We also want to gently remind you that our ultimate hope is not in the absence of storms but in the One who walks with us through them. Jesus said in John 16:33, "In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." Even in disappointment, He is our peace. Trust in Him, lean on Him, and know that He is worthy of praise, no matter the circumstances.

Father, we pray for this dear sister or brother, that You would fill their heart with Your peace and assurance. Remind them that You are near, that You hear their prayers, and that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, and help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for your area. We understand the disappointment of a potential storm disrupting your plans to gather with your church family. It's tough, but let's trust that God has a reason for everything. We're asking Him to calm the winds, still the snow, and turn the storm away, if it's His will. But even if the storm comes, we know He's with us, providing strength and comfort. Let's prepare our hearts to worship Him wherever we are, together or apart. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
