Servant of All
I really want to go to church tomorrow but I am waiting on my menstrual cycle to end as I suffer from PMDD and have very bad symptoms on my cycle. Also, I experience a lot of demonic attacks during my cycle (I notice the bulk of these attacks are days before my cycle even starts and after looking up PMDD, I have found out that the symptoms for this condition are worse during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle before it starts which is the same time that I notice the attacks are worse - I believe that these attacks strategically occur during that time for that reason) and this causes me to be scared to interact with people too much during this time because I have had people turn on me and act just crazy while I was on my cycle. I have had relationships totally turn upside down because people started being just plain hateful toward me during this time for no reason and the relationships never recovered (which maybe that was for the best). I'm scared to go to church and have something bad like that happen. It would break my heart. I already have many fears when it comes to this church that I've recently joined and do feel that certain people don't like me including the pastor. Never mind that I also have struggles with awkwardness. I really don't want anything bad to happen with any of the people there which is likely to happen around my cycle for whatever reason. It would break my heart as I love this church. But I'm tired of having to stay away from church during my cycle and I have this thought in my head to just try to go and see what happens. But I don't know, I'm scared.

We understand your deep desire to worship with your church family, and we also hear the very real struggles you face with PMDD and the spiritual attacks that seem to intensify during this time. Your heart for the Lord and His people is evident, and we want to encourage you in truth while addressing the fears and spiritual battles you’re experiencing.

First, let’s be clear: **your menstrual cycle does not make you unclean or unworthy to worship God or be in His presence.** The Old Testament laws regarding ceremonial uncleanness (Leviticus 15:19-30) were fulfilled in Christ, and we are now under the New Covenant where our access to God is not based on physical conditions but on the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19-22). You are welcome in God’s house at all times, and no physical condition can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39). If you feel led to go to church, do not let the enemy convince you that you are unwelcome or that your presence is somehow defiling. That is a lie meant to isolate you and keep you from the fellowship and encouragement of believers.

That said, we also recognize that PMDD and the spiritual attacks you describe are very real and can make interactions with others extremely difficult. The enemy often exploits our physical and emotional vulnerabilities to create division, fear, and confusion. The fact that you notice these attacks intensifying during your luteal phase is not a coincidence—it is a strategic assault meant to disrupt your peace, your relationships, and your worship. But take heart: **Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world** (1 John 4:4). The enemy may try to use this time to attack, but Jesus has already overcome him (Colossians 2:15). You are not powerless in this.

We also want to address the fear you have about how others may treat you during this time. It is painful to experience rejection or sudden hostility from people, especially when it seems unprovoked. While we cannot control how others act, we can trust that God is sovereign over all relationships. If people have turned against you in the past during this time, it may be that the enemy was using their own unresolved issues or spiritual blindness to create division. But remember, **if God is for you, who can be against you?** (Romans 8:31). Your worth and acceptance are not determined by how people treat you but by how God sees you—and He sees you as His beloved child, redeemed and precious in His sight.

As for your concerns about the pastor or others in the church not liking you, we encourage you to bring those fears to the Lord. Ask Him to reveal the truth: Are these fears based on actual evidence, or are they lies the enemy is using to keep you isolated? If there are genuine issues in the church, pray for wisdom and discernment on how to navigate them. But do not let fear dictate your actions. **Perfect love casts out fear** (1 John 4:18), and God’s love for you is perfect. If you feel led to attend church tomorrow, go in faith, not in fear. Trust that God will protect your heart and your relationships. If you feel too overwhelmed, it is also okay to take time to rest and seek the Lord at home. He meets you wherever you are.

Now, let’s address the demonic attacks. The fact that you recognize these attacks as spiritual is a good sign—it means you are aware of the battle and can take authority over it. **Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you** (James 4:7). During this time, we encourage you to:
1. **Put on the full armor of God** (Ephesians 6:10-18). This includes praying in the Spirit, standing on the truth of God’s Word, and declaring your authority in Christ.
2. **Bind the enemy’s schemes** in the name of Jesus. Speak directly to the spirits of fear, rejection, and confusion, and command them to leave in Jesus’ name.
3. **Fill your mind with Scripture and worship.** The enemy cannot stand in the presence of praise. Play worship music, read Psalms aloud, and declare God’s promises over your life.
4. **Pray for protection over your interactions.** Ask the Lord to guard your words and the hearts of those around you. Pray that any attempts by the enemy to create division would be exposed and rendered powerless.

Finally, we want to pray with you. Let’s lift this up to the Lord together:

---
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, who loves You deeply and longs to be in Your presence with Your people. Lord, we thank You that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that nothing—no physical condition, no spiritual attack, no fear—can separate her from Your love. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that have tried to convince her that she is unwelcome or unclean in Your sight. By the blood of Jesus, she is clean, holy, and righteous before You.

Lord, we ask for Your supernatural peace to guard her heart and mind as she navigates the challenges of PMDD and the spiritual battles that accompany it. We bind every spirit of fear, rejection, confusion, and division that has tried to oppress her during this time. We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every tongue that rises against her in judgment, she shall condemn. Father, surround her with Your angels and let Your presence be a shield around her.

We pray for wisdom and discernment regarding her decision to attend church. If it is Your will for her to go, we ask for Your grace to cover every interaction, that her words and actions would be seasoned with salt, and that any attempts by the enemy to create strife would be exposed and stopped. If she feels led to stay home, we ask that You meet her there in a powerful way, filling her with Your peace and joy as she worships You in spirit and in truth.

Lord, we also lift up the relationships in her life that have been affected by these attacks. Heal the wounds of rejection and betrayal. Restore what the enemy has tried to steal, and bring godly, life-giving connections into her life. Give her the courage to trust again, knowing that You are her defender and her refuge.

Father, we ask for complete healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. You are the God who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3), and we believe that You can bring restoration to her body and her mind. We pray for breakthrough in her battle with PMDD, that You would bring doctors, treatments, or divine healing to alleviate her symptoms. Let this season of struggle be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power in her life.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that she would know—deep in her spirit—that she is loved, accepted, and cherished by You. Let her find her identity in Christ alone, not in the opinions of others or the lies of the enemy. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in victory and confidence, no matter what battles she faces.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and our King. Amen.
---

Our sister, we want to leave you with this encouragement: **Do not let the enemy steal your joy or your worship.** Whether you go to church tomorrow or spend time with the Lord at home, you are His, and He is with you. Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you feel led, share your struggles with a trusted believer in the church who can pray with you and support you. You are not alone in this battle.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you that in your request, the name of Jesus was not invoked. It is only through His name that we have authority and access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Whenever you pray or seek God’s intervention, always come boldly in the name of Jesus. He is our advocate, our high priest, and the only name by which we are saved. If you ever feel uncertain about your relationship with Him, we encourage you to reflect on this truth: **If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved** (Romans 10:9). Rest in that promise, and let it be the foundation of your faith.

You are loved, you are strong in Christ, and you are victorious. Keep pressing in, and may the Lord bless you abundantly.

Hey there,

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of your struggle and the fear that's been holding you back from going to church. It's tough, we know, but we want you to hear this: You are welcome in God's house, always. Your cycle, your PMDD, none of that changes how much God wants you there, with His people.

We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you with something we found in the Bible. In Leviticus 15, there are rules about ceremonial uncleanness, but remember, Jesus fulfilled those laws. Now, under the New Covenant, our access to God is through Jesus' blood, not our physical condition (Hebrews 10:19-22). You are welcome in God's presence, no matter what you're going through.

But we also understand that PMDD and spiritual attacks can make it really hard to interact with others. The enemy loves to use our weaknesses to create division and fear. But here's the thing, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Jesus has already overcome the enemy, and you have authority in His name.

We want to remind you that your worth and acceptance aren't determined by how people treat you, but by how God sees you. You are His beloved child, redeemed and precious in His sight (Romans 8:38-39). If people have turned against you in the past, it might be that the enemy was using their own issues to create division. But remember, if God is for you, who can be against you? (Romans 8:31).

We're not sure what's been going on with the pastor or others in the church, but we encourage you to bring those fears to the Lord. Ask Him to reveal the truth. If there are genuine issues, pray for wisdom and discernment on how to navigate them. But don't let fear dictate your actions. Perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and God's love for you is perfect.

If you feel led to go to church tomorrow, go in faith, not in fear. Trust that God will protect your heart and your relationships. But if you feel too overwhelmed, it's okay to take time to rest and seek the Lord at home. He meets you wherever you are.

We want to pray with you. Can we pray together right now?

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
