Church, Family Intervene Mt 18:16-17, Convict Jn16:8, Hedge w/Thorns Ho 2:6, Clarity, Avoids Evil Men 2 Tim 3:5, Inner Healing Isa 1:6, Ps 23:1-6...

It is right to be so burdened for her, and to keep pressing these prayers before the throne of grace. The anguish you feel over her wandering mirrors something of the heart of the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one. Keep bringing these requests. Jesus told us to always pray and not lose heart, and He hears every honest cry you are lifting.

I want to speak especially to the healing you are asking for, inner healing, the deep kind Isaiah described when he saw the whole head sick and the whole heart faint. Healing of the soul is very often not an instant event but a gradual unfolding. There is only one recorded instance in the Gospels where Jesus restored a person’s sight in stages; the man first saw men like trees walking, then saw clearly. The same Lord who could have spoken sight into existence in a moment chose a process. Don’t despise the small beginnings, and don’t conclude that nothing is happening simply because the full deliverance has not arrived by nightfall. Any genuine turn toward truth, any prick of conscience, any tear of sorrow, that is a work of divine healing, even if the full mending takes time.

We also need to hold firmly that healing in its deepest sense is sovereign with God. Paul prayed three times for the thorn to be removed and heard instead, “My grace is sufficient.” That does not mean we stop asking; it means we trust the Healer more than we trust our own timetable for the cure. We cannot prescribe to the Lord exactly how or when He must answer. Some are delivered instantly, you read of the woman who touched the hem of His garment and felt in her body that she was healed of her plague. Others, like the nobleman’s son, were healed at a distance at the very hour Jesus spoke. Yet the same Jesus allowed Lazarus to lie in the tomb four days. His ways are beyond tracing out, and it is a cruel thing to heap guilt upon the sufferer or upon those who pray as though a lack of faith has blocked the miracle. You are doing well to intercede without arrogantly demanding a sign.

What I see in your request is a deep desire for her repentance and restoration, and that is exactly the kind of healing that matters most. Remember the tenth leper who returned glorifying God with a loud voice: he received more than clean skin, he received the forgiveness of sins and wholeness of soul. Jesus went about healing every sickness and every disease among the people, and through that same broken body given for us, there is provision for the deepest infirmities of the spirit. The crushing weight of unconfessed sin, the inner wounds that drive her to destructive choices, the hardness that has built up, these are the sicknesses He came to bear. When you pray Isaiah 1:6 over her, you are asking the great Physician to pour in the oil and wine where only festering sores have been.

Do not be surprised if the answer includes a long process that feels like waiting for slow natural healing. Sometimes the most profound healing of the mind and emotions happens while the person is still walking through the consequences. The mother with the crying, hungry infant had to wait for the body to do its slow work; not every relief comes with a leap out of bed. But whether it comes in an instant or over months, the Spirit of God is able to strengthen her in the inner being. Continue to ask for wisdom and clarity for yourself and for those who must bring the Word to her. Approach gently and firmly, as you said, but leave room for God to work conviction. The sword of the Spirit in the hands of faithful messengers can pierce to the dividing of soul and spirit, but human sharpness apart from love can also push a wanderer further away. Trust that the same Lord who commanded the winds and waves knows how to bring a proud heart to stillness.

Finally, guard your own soul in this season. The long fight against deception and evil can wear down the most steadfast spirit. Keep asking for protection from temptation and lies, not only for her, but for everyone involved. When you pray the hedge of thorns from Hosea, you are asking God to make the way of transgression painful and blocked so that she will turn back to her first love. That is a severe mercy, and it often means things will look worse before they look better. But the Shepherd restores the soul; He leads in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even now, in ways you cannot see, He is working to bring her to that moment when all pride and false reputation will fall away and she will say, “I will go back to my husband, for I was better off then than now.” Persevere in prayer, fast as grace is given, and leave the outcome with the only One who can make all things new.

We are deeply grateful for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer for this heavy and urgent burden on your heart. It is clear how fervently you have sought the Lord’s intervention, pleading for conviction, protection, and deliverance according to His Word. We have continued to lift this situation before the throne of grace, asking the Holy Spirit to move with power in the lives of those involved—especially for repentance, restoration, and the fear of the Lord to take root where there has been compromise.

We are praying that the hedge of thorns the Lord has placed would not only restrain but also awaken a godly sorrow, leading to true repentance and a turning away from all that grieves the heart of God. May the family, church leadership, and friends rise up in boldness, not fearing man but honoring Christ above all, as Scripture commands. We ask the Lord to raise up messengers—courageous, gentle, and uncompromising—who will speak the truth in love, wielding the sword of the Spirit to cut through deception and bring clarity where there has been confusion.

We also lift up your own heart in this, asking the Lord to grant you wisdom, inner healing, and the grace to extend forgiveness even as you stand firm on His Word. May He strengthen you to fast, pray, and walk in obedience, shielded from temptation and the schemes of the enemy. We declare over this situation that no weapon formed against God’s purposes shall prosper, and that every lie, every deception, and every snare of the devil will be exposed and broken in Jesus’ Name.

If the Lord has moved in answer to these prayers—if there has been conviction, repentance, or any sign of His mercy—we would be blessed to hear a praise report so that we may rejoice with you. If the battle continues, we stand ready to intercede afresh, trusting that the Lord is at work even when we cannot yet see it. May He bless you with His peace, His presence, and the assurance that He hears the cries of His people. We continue to seek Him with you, believing that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun.

In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
