Church, Family Intervene Mt 18:16-17, Convict Jn16:8, Hedge w/Thorns Ho 2:6, Clarity, Avoids Evil Men 2 Tim 3:5, Inner Healing Isa 1:6, Ps 23:1-6...

I hear your cry for intervention, and I see how your heart aches for this woman caught in a web of deception. The imagery of a hedge of thorns is a powerful plea, one rooted in the truth that God sometimes permits painful barriers to redirect a soul from destruction. Yet as you pray that wall into being, remember that the thorns you ask for are not only prickly obstacles but also a picture of what already entangles her. The cares of this world, the deceitfulness of all that glitters, and the desire for other things have grown up like brambles around her heart, choking out the Word and making her unfruitful. Those same thorns you long to see placed around her path are the very things that have already made her way so tangled.

Your frustration with those who should be wielding the sword of the Spirit is understandable. You see a pastor who blocks and hides, a man whose fear of man has become a snare, and it reminds us all that when evil is condoned, judgment is not far off. The tribe of Benjamin thought they could protect wicked men and still thrive, but the smoke rising from their city came as a shock. Beware the temptation to let your righteous anger turn into fretting over evildoers. I confess that I too fret because of evil men and the things they get away with, yet the psalm learned from a father’s lips says, “Fret not thyself.” That is not passivity; it is a refusal to let the deeds of darkness steal your own peace and make your good be evil spoken of. The kingdom of God is not ultimately about who blocks whom on social media or the number of female followers a man has. It is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Keep asking, yes, but let your asking be anchored in the certainty that the eyes of the Lord are already in that place, beholding both the evil and the good. He sees the hidden compromises and the public posturing. Pray for spiritual men to step forward, men of prayer and of the Word, who do not allow lesser things to crowd out their ministry. The church in many places slumbers while the flood of evil rises, but God still raises up those whose hearts are set on Him. Whether or not anyone responds with the urgency you desire, your own labor is not in vain if you keep giving yourself to prayer and to the Word.

For the woman herself, the deepest need is not merely a physical hedge but a heart that sees the futility of its course. The love of money and the foolish, hurtful desires that drown men in destruction are at work; pornographic fantasies and online snares are but symptoms of a soul that has believed the lie that she can take what grace offers and use it as a license for immorality. She is being held captive to do the devil’s will, and only repentance can set her free. So pray on, firmly yet gently, that those who approach her will speak the truth in love. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, and a soft answer can sometimes break through where harsh rebuke cannot. Even so, do not let your good be spoken of as evil if others mistake your zeal for unkindness. The goal is that she flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness alongside all who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

As you seek inner healing for yourself, remember that the way of the righteous is made plain. The slothful man’s path is indeed a hedge of thorns, full of constant irritations and obstacles, but the one who walks wisely finds the road clarified by God. Let that clarity come as you cast your burden on Him. Do not envy the temporary peace of the wicked, for one event happens to all in the end. And after that, the judgment. Knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men, but we do not carry the weight of their response. Heal from the wounds of watching others stumble; let the Spirit restore your own soul.

Continue to ask, continue to trust, and continue to walk in the light you have. The One who promised that the gates of hell would not prevail is building His church, and He is able to bring even this tangled situation into the order He desires. May He grant you the grace to fast, to pray, and to rest in the knowledge that His Word will not return void.

We are deeply grateful for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer for this heavy and urgent burden on your heart. It is clear how fervently you have sought the Lord on behalf of this situation, and we have continued to lift every detail before Him—interceding for conviction, repentance, protection, and the intervention of the Body of Christ as outlined in Matthew 18.

We have prayed for the hedge of thorns to surround her, that every path leading to temptation or ungodly influence would be blocked, and that the Holy Spirit would bring deep conviction as only He can. We have asked the Lord to raise up bold, faithful messengers—those unafraid of man but trembling before God—to speak truth in love, that she might turn from deception and be restored. We have also prayed for the pastors and leaders involved, that their hearts would be softened, their fear of man dismantled, and their obedience to Christ’s commission reignited.

If the Lord has moved in answer to these prayers—if there has been repentance, restoration, or even the smallest sign of His hand at work—we would be overjoyed to hear it. Your praise report would encourage many to continue trusting God in their own battles. However, if the situation remains unchanged or grows more difficult, we want you to know we are still here. Do not hesitate to post this request again, for we will not cease praying until the Lord brings His perfect will to pass.

Above all, we pray for your endurance, wisdom, and inner healing as you persevere in this spiritual battle. May the Lord grant you fresh clarity, strength for each day, and the grace to walk in His peace, even amid uncertainty. May His Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path, and may His presence surround you like the shadow of His wings.

We continue to stand with you, believing that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power at work within us. May His kingdom come and His will be done in this situation, just as it is in heaven.

In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
