Beloved Warrior
Father, thank You for grace to pray for her signaling to me You are not finished on her. Thank You for hedging her way with thorns so she can't overtake her lovers, Hosea 2:6-7, since there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul that does evil, Rom 2:9. I ask YOU warn her family and church and get her pastors and friends involved -- and we ask one pastor is family would fear God over his family and honor You above them, Matt 10:28, for the fear of man is a snare, Prov 29:25, as You prophesied to Eli in 1 Samuel 2:29-30, 1 Sam 3:13-14, and fulfilled it in 1 Sam 4:17-18...

I've been asking YOU raise up messengers with the sword of the Spirit and still we ask, Lk 18:1, and thank You for 4 indicating they are willing to bring The Word of God to this situation, Heb 4:12, but as of yet have not... Through history You have gone out of Your way to warn people to turn, as all the prophets testify, we ask He does now, in this day, for this cause: "perchance she will repent, and escape the snare of the devil, being held captive to do his will," 2 Tim 2:25-26, and so others be fearful of sinning, 1 Tim 5:20. Let them finish the work which they said they'd do with zeal, 2 Cor 8:11, not with negligence, Jer 48:10, in Jesus' Name. May it be done gently but firmly, because of the danger of sin and so she won't stop attending church, but rather "flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart," 2 Tim 2:22. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, in Jesus' Name.

I ask again for her to be "hedged in with thorns," Ho 2:6-7, that she is not able to meet anyone at all (No more online dating, Matt 5:28, and finally confess adultery Ex 20:14, until finalization, and who knows what's next? 2 Sam 12:22), especially that she and we all are delivered from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, lies, Zeph 3:13, evil, evil men, imposters, 2 Tim 2:5, 2 Tim 2:13 & the evil one himself, John 17:15...

Pray repentance -- That she will NOT become pregnant b/c of this, or get more diseases, be used anymore by imposters or use them, but more importantly, she would not use the grace of God for license for immorality, and deny our Only Lord and Master Jesus Christ, Jude 1:4. Please pray for her to repent and bear fruit in keeping with repentance, Matt 3:8, repent and return and receive God's refreshing and salvation, Acts 3:19 -- bad news, her one godly sister recently posted a disgustingly sensual dance of her teenage niece or daughter in short negligee -- I rebuked her sharply, Tit 1:13, they ALL need fear of God equating to hatred of evil, Prov 8:13, Job 28:28, Prov 9:10.

Lastly I ask more wisdom, clarity & inner healing, Isaiah 1:6, Jer 4:19, Ps 23:3 -- Holy Spirit strength for duties, etc, grace to fast again, Isa 58:6-12, protection from temptation, sin, deception, lies and evil for me, her, them and all of us, Matt 24:4, Matt 6:13, Zeph 3:13, John 17:15. Grace to proceed, Matt 6:10. Thank You in Jesus Name.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is entangled in sin and deception. Father, we thank You for the grace to intercede on her behalf, for You are not finished with her yet. We stand in the gap, pleading for Your mercy and intervention, knowing that Your desire is for her repentance and restoration.

Lord, we ask that You hedge her way with thorns as You promised in Hosea 2:6-7, that she may not find her path to those who would lead her further into sin. We pray that every ungodly relationship, every online temptation, and every opportunity for adultery would be blocked by Your mighty hand. Expose the lies of the enemy and the emptiness of her pursuits, that she may see the destruction of her ways. We rebuke the spirit of immorality in Jesus' name and command it to loose its grip on her life. Fornication and adultery are grave sins before You, and we ask that conviction would fall upon her heart like a heavy weight, leading her to true repentance (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

Father, we cry out for the church and her family to rise up in obedience to Your Word. We ask that You stir the hearts of her pastors, friends, and especially her family members who know You, to intervene as outlined in Matthew 18:15-17. May they fear You more than they fear man (Proverbs 29:25) and speak the truth in love, even if it is difficult. We pray that one pastor, who is also family, would have the courage to honor You above all else, as You warned Eli in 1 Samuel 2:29-30. Raise up messengers with the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) to bring Your Word to her with boldness and gentleness, that she may be snatched from the fire (Jude 1:23). Let the church not be negligent in this matter, for souls are at stake.

We pray for deep conviction to fall upon her heart, as You promised the Holy Spirit would convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Let her see the snare of the devil that has held her captive (2 Timothy 2:25-26) and the wrath that awaits those who persist in evil (Romans 2:9). Yet, Father, we also pray that she would experience Your mercy and grace, that she may flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on You out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22). May she not be driven away from the church but drawn back into Your loving arms.

Lord, we plead for her protection from the consequences of her sin. We ask that You close her womb to any conception that would come from these ungodly relationships, sparing her from further heartache and bondage. Protect her from diseases, from being used by imposters, and from using others for her own gratification. May she not turn the grace of God into a license for immorality (Jude 1:4) but instead bear fruit in keeping with repentance (Matthew 3:8). We rebuke the sensuality that has even infiltrated her family, as seen in the disgraceful display of her niece or daughter. May the fear of the Lord, which is hatred of evil (Proverbs 8:13), take root in their hearts, that they may turn from such wickedness.

Father, we also lift up the one who has brought this request before You. Grant them wisdom, clarity, and inner healing as they navigate this difficult situation. Strengthen them with the power of Your Holy Spirit to fulfill their duties and to stand firm against temptation, deception, and lies (Matthew 24:4). Give them grace to fast and pray, that they may see breakthrough in this situation (Isaiah 58:6-12). Protect their heart from bitterness, anger, or despair, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18). We ask that You would restore her soul, lead her in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3), and bring her back to the fold. May she experience the refreshing that comes from repentance and returning to You (Acts 3:19). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Amen.

We hear how heavily this burden rests on you, the long fight in prayer, the aching for her to turn, and the weariness that comes from watching someone you love wander. The depth of your intercession is clear, and we are grateful you are not alone in it. You have been standing in the gap, but we also hear you asking for wisdom, clarity, and inner healing for yourself. That matters, too.

While you continue to entrust her to God, we want to encourage you to seek out your own support, perhaps a trusted pastor or a mature Christian counselor who can walk with you in this season. The pain of loving someone through rebellion leaves its own marks, and having another person pray with you and help you process those wounds can be a real channel of Christ’s healing peace. You do not have to carry this alone. Similarly, it may help to share your burden with a few faithful prayer partners in your church who will uphold you by name, not just the situation.

You also mentioned a desire to fast again. That can be a meaningful discipline, but we would gently urge you to be mindful of your health. If you plan to go beyond a short fast, it is wise to speak with your doctor first, just to be safe.

Above all, remember that your own soul is precious to the Lord. He sees your tears and your perseverance. As you continue to pray for her, let others also minister to you.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this weary servant who has poured out so much in prayer for his loved one. Grant him fresh strength, quiet clarity, and deep healing in the places where this battle has wounded him. Send wise and gentle companions to stand with him. For her, we ask that Your Spirit would relentlessly draw her to repentance, hedge her way from deeper harm, and lead her into true freedom. Protect them both from the evil one. In Your merciful name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The path of the slothful and the path of the willful sinner alike become a hedge of thorns, not merely a discomfort, but a blessed entanglement if God so designs it. When we pray for the thorns to close in and block the way to her lovers, we are asking the Lord to do what His own word describes: to make the way of transgression so piercing and impassable that she must turn back. It is a mercy when sin becomes bitter as gall and the soul finds no rest in its wandering, for that bitter taste may drive her to the true sweetness found only in Christ.

Yet be vigilant that what you seek is not a surface sorrow, but the repentance which is the gift of God. Many weep over the consequences of sin who never weep over the sin itself. True repentance is not the mere terror of being found out, nor the dread of disease and shame, but a hatred of the evil because it is evil, and above all because it has wounded the Savior. When the heart beholds the crown of thorns pressed upon His holy brow, and sees that those thorns were grown from the cursed ground of our own sin, then the rock is smitten and the floods of penitential grief pour forth. Pray that her thoughts, like Peter’s, would lead her to think upon her sin until she goes out and weeps bitterly.

You have asked for messengers with the sword of the Spirit to approach her. This is a gospel duty, and it is well that some have indicated a willingness. Let them not linger with the knife at hand while the wound festers. The word of God, spoken in faithful love yet with holy firmness, is the chosen instrument to slice through the entanglements of self-deception. Urge them to act with that zeal which the prophet declares a curse upon the one who does the Lord’s work negligently. Let the exhortation be gentle in manner, yet unyielding in truth, warning her as those who must give an account, that she may not use the grace of God as a cloak for lasciviousness, denying the only Lord who bought her.

For yourself, and all who stand with you in this travail, seek the inner healing which comes not from a mere plastering over of wounds, but from the restoring of the soul. The great Physician must probe to the bottom of the sore. The soul-sickness of sin is not healed by happy thoughts but by the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Ghost. If you are faint and weary in the battle, remember that your strength to fast, to pray, to rebuke that sensual dance, to continue in the duties of a watchman, comes from leaning wholly upon your Beloved. The arm of flesh will fail, but the Spirit who works in us all good things will supply the needed might.

Take heart. Even in the professing church, the lily blooms among thorns, and true saints are often lacerated by the worldliness around them. The persecution of being counted a fanatic for purity’s sake, or the sorrow of seeing a sister ravage herself with sin, is but the fellowship of Christ’s sufferings. The hedge of thorns which now surrounds her way, though it causes her pain, is a sign that the Divine Husbandman has not abandoned the plot. It is His strange yet gracious work to make the way of the transgressor hard, that perchance He may make the plain way of the righteous her delight. Persevere in this prayer with the hearing of faith, looking for no peace to come to that erring soul, or to your own, through any other channel than through the finished work of Him who wore the thorns that we might wear the crown.

You have prayed that a hedge of thorns be set about her, as the prophet Hosea speaks, that she may not find her paths to her lovers. This is a good prayer, for thorns indeed have a use: they tear the flesh to warn the soul. Yet consider what the thorns will accomplish if the root of sin remains deep within her heart. Thorns spring up in dry and stony ground, as our Lord taught, and they choke the word with cares and deceitful pleasures. The hedge may block her way, but unless the inward soil is changed, she will only seek another path when the thorns are removed.

You have called for the church to intervene with the sword of the Spirit, and that is according to the Lord's command. But I must ask: while you teach others, do you teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal? While you warn against adultery, do you let your own eye wander? The Law is a schoolmaster, but the Spirit alone quenches evil desires. If we trust merely in external rebukes and hedges, we remain under the Law and have not yet tasted the freedom of grace. The root of anger is murder, and the root of adultery is the roaming gaze; pull up the root and the fruit withers. So pray not only for a wall around her, but for the fire of the Holy Spirit to fall upon her heart and burn out the poisonous moisture of sin, as husbandmen purge a field with flame.

Take heed also of despair, both for her and for yourselves. To sin is harmful, but to despair is far worse, for it locks the door of repentance. There are indeed sins that go before to judgement, a fall beyond recovery, but who among us knows the hidden boundary of God's mercy? As long as there is breath, let us travail in prayer until Christ be formed in her again. Do not let your zeal become a hammer that crushes the bruised reed. The sister whose dance you rebuked sharply, I do not excuse her lightness, but let your word carry both salt and oil. Pierce if you must, but bind up the wound, lest she flee from the assembly and perish in the wilderness. The fear of God is hatred of evil indeed, yet perfect love casts out the fear that simply punishes.

Continue in your fasting and supplication, for these are the weapons that drive out the prince of this world. But remember, the fast that pleases God loosens the bonds of wickedness and shares bread with the hungry, not merely withholds food in bitterness. Let your own heart be softened, lest while you seek to pluck the thorns from her field, thorns of pride and harshness spring up unnoticed in yours. Come then to the heavenly Husbandman, all of us together, confessing that our own ground is dry and that we need the rain of His Spirit. Only He can turn the desert into a garden, and the thorns into a fruitful vine.

Your plea is heavy with care and saturated with Scripture, and I can see you are standing in the gap for someone who is being choked by sin. The picture from Hosea of God hedging her with thorns is a severe mercy, meant to frustrate every false path until she comes to her senses. Yet as I consider your request, I am compelled to think about the nature of those thorns beyond that immediate passage. The Lord Jesus spoke of seed that falls among thorns and, though it springs up, it never produces fruit because the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desire for other things crowd it out. That warning is not only for her; it cuts through the whole gathering of God’s people. Many who sit among us are themselves unfruitful, not because the word lacks power, but because their hearts are entangled in exactly what the world prizes. So while we pray for her, we must also examine whether the soil of our own lives is overrun with the same choking growth.

You have rightly called for church involvement, and the pattern in Matthew 18 is clear. Yet we must be honest about what the fellowship too often becomes. The history of the body of Christ, when it drifts from the apostles’ teaching, is shameful, it has welcomed the leaven of the world and become a shelter for the very evils it should purge. The early believers in Acts did not possess power by accident; that power came when hypocrisy was confronted and sin was removed from among them. Without that purifying work, even well-meaning intervention can become a merely human exercise. So as you pray for pastors and family members to fear God rather than man, ask also that those who go to her would themselves be free from the deceitfulness that makes the word unfruitful. The fear of man is indeed a snare, and Eli’s story stands as a permanent warning, but the greater need is for those who carry the sword of the Spirit to wield it with lives that match their message.

You mentioned inner healing, and the prophet’s description is stark: the whole head is sick, the whole heart faint, wounds and bruises and putrefying sores that have not been closed or bound up. True repentance is the only pathway to that cleansing. It is not a mere sorrow that leaves a person wounded, but a godly sorrow that produces a genuine change of direction. That change is what opens the door to refreshing from the presence of the Lord. Pray for her to turn, yes, and for obstacles to be removed. But also pray that this whole painful season would become a purging, not only for her but for everyone whose hands reach toward her. The church was never meant to mirror the world’s patterns; when it does, the thorns that should be cut down are instead cultivated.

I join you in asking God to hem her in, to cut off her contact with what is forbidden, and to provoke in her a hunger for righteousness instead of lust. But let the same request rise for us all: that we would not be among the many who grow among thorns and bear nothing. The early believers had little of this world’s resources, yet they were rich in power because they were poor in spirit. Let that be our own longing. Continue to fast and pray as you have been; ask the Lord to make His messengers faithful and their words sharp, but also pray that the entire body would fear God and hate evil. Then, when His purifying work is done, we will see not only one captive set free, but a whole people walking in the health and power described in the twenty-third Psalm.
