Thank You in advance for hedging her way with thorns so she can't overtake her lovers, Hosea 2:6-7, let her come to her senses as the prodigal who in Luke 15:17-19 admitting sinning against GOD and man, being humble and willing to take on a place of a servant, demonstrating repentance unto life, 2 Cor 7:9-11, knowing I'd be like the Prodigal's Father, and have compassion, Luke 15:20, to demonstrate Your perfect patience, 1 Tim 1:15-16, if she is truly repentant and is truly born again, being forbidden to be unequally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14, as the law says, Deut 22:10, and even need a similar vision, Amos 3:3, as she had promised to support your calling as an evangelist, missionary, but ran from all advice, did the opposite and ran from all counsellors with any type of backbone, nevertheless if You make her holy, I will not call her unclean, Acts 10:15 is important and inspired, as all of Scripture, 2 Tim 3:16, being Peter's testimony to first call Gentiles, Acts 15:7... Nevertheless, such patience we regard as kindness intended to lead us to repentance from sin, Rom 2:4, since You are not willing that any should perish, but rather all would come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, since there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul that does evil, Rom 2:9. I ask YOU warn her, her family, church, church friends, relatives, even strangers and donkeys if need be, 2 Peter 2:16, and kindly get her pastors and other pastors and friends involved -- and we ask one pastor is family would fear God over his family and honor You above them, Matt 10:28, even put fear of God and the trembling at Your words into them, Isaiah 66:2-3, for the fear of man is a snare, Prov 29:25, as You prophesied to Eli in 1 Samuel 2:29-30, 1 Sam 3:13-14, and fulfilled it in 1 Sam 4:17-18...

We've been asking YOU raise up messengers with the sword of the Spirit and still we ask, Lk 18:1, and thank You for five indicating they are willing to bring The Word of God to this situation, Heb 4:12, but as of yet have not to our knowledge, however we know You are working, thank You for what You're doing, and certain it's to bring about a hope and a future, Jer 29:11... Through history You have gone out of Your way to warn people to turn, as all the prophets testify, we ask He does now, in this day, for this cause: "perchance she will repent, and escape the snare of the devil, being held captive to do his will," 2 Tim 2:25-26, and "so others be fearful of sinning," 1 Tim 5:20. Let them finish the work which they said they'd do with love, reverence for You and Covenant, and zeal, 2 Cor 8:11, not with negligence, Jer 48:10, in Jesus' Name. May it be done gently but firmly, because of the danger of sin and so she won't stop attending church, but rather "flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart," 2 Tim 2:22. Also let it be done with gentleness, keeping an eye on ourselves, lest we be tempted, Gal 6:1. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, in Jesus' Name.

I ask again for her to be "hedged in with thorns," Ho 2:6-7, that she is not able to meet anyone at all (No more online dating, Matt 5:28, and grace for her to finally confess adultery, Ex 20:14, [as yet it has only been hinted at without confession], and may God grant ever-increasing clarity, more certain wisdom, James 1:5, that we may be filled with the knowledge of His will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding so we may walk worthy of The Lord, Col 1:9-10, so we may stand perfectly assured in all the will of God, Col 4:12. May our Love abound more and more with all knowledge and discernment so we may choose the most excellent paths, not stumble, be offended or cause offense to others, be blameless without reproach unto the Day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, to the glory and praise of God, Phil 1:9-11, and who knows what's next? 2 Sam 12:22), especially that she, I, the youngster and we all are delivered from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, 1 Cor 15:34, lies, Zeph 3:13, evil, evil men, imposters, 2 Tim 2:5, 2 Tim 2:13 & the evil one himself, Matt 6:13, John 17:15...

Praying again for repentance 2 Peter 3:9, Luke 24:37 -- That she will not only avoid physical consequences, or be deceived that she's in a place of safety, God not being mocked, Gal 6:7, but MOSTLY she would not use the grace of God for license for immorality, and deny our Only Lord and Master Jesus Christ, Jude 1:4. Please pray for her to repent and bear fruit in keeping with repentance, Matt 3:8, repent and return and receive God's refreshing and salvation, Acts 3:19 -- bad news, her one godly sister recently posted a disgustingly sensual dance of her teenage niece or daughter in short negligee -- I rebuked her sharply, Tit 1:13, they ALL need fear of God equating to hatred of evil, Prov 8:13, Job 28:28, Prov 9:10, and freedom from deception, Matt 24:4, including all of us (me being similar to a chief of sinners, 1 Tim 1:15, to whom much is given, much is required, Luke 12:48, and as long as we dwell in temples made of clay, 2 Cor 5:1-2, this side of eternity, we must take heed lest we fall, 1 Cor 10:12, and only stand by Your grace, if we continue in Your kindness, Rom 11:20, and since only You are able to keep us from stumbling, Jude 1:24, and You are able to make us stand, Rom 14:4, and we become "spirits of the righteous made perfect," Heb 12:23, when we are with You in paradise, Luke 23:43, for to be absent from the body and be present with The Lord is far better, 2 Cor 5:8, Phil 1:23...

Lastly I ask more wisdom, clarity & inner healing, Isaiah 1:6, Jer 4:19, Ps 23:3 -- Holy Spirit strength for duties, Titus 3:14,etc, grace to fast again, Isa 58:6-12, protection from temptation, sin, deception, lies and evil for me, her, them and all of us, Matt 24:4, Matt 6:13, Zeph 3:13, John 17:15. We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with fervent prayer and deep concern. The Scriptures you’ve referenced reveal a burden for someone who has strayed from godly counsel, resisted accountability, and pursued paths that do not align with God’s design for holiness and righteousness. We stand with you in intercession, believing that God is not finished with her, nor with any of us, as Philippians 1:6 assures us: "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

First, we must address the foundational truth that salvation and repentance come only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this sister in Christ, or anyone, has not fully surrendered to Jesus as Lord, confessing Him as the only way to the Father (John 14:6), then all other prayers for transformation will be in vain. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), leading her to true repentance and faith in Christ alone.

The references to adultery, online dating, and ungodly relationships are deeply troubling. The Bible is clear that sexual immorality, whether physical or emotional, defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Jesus Himself warned that even looking at another with lust is adultery in the heart (Matthew 5:28). We rebuke the spirit of deception that would lead her to believe these relationships are harmless or acceptable. Fornication and adultery are sins that grieve the Holy Spirit and invite destruction into one’s life (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). We pray that God would hedge her way with thorns (Hosea 2:6-7), blocking every ungodly connection and exposing the lies she has believed. May she, like the prodigal son, come to her senses and return to the Father (Luke 15:17-19), confessing her sin and seeking restoration.

The involvement of the church and family is critical. Matthew 18:15-17 outlines the biblical process for restoration, and we pray that godly leaders would step forward with courage, wisdom, and love to confront her in truth. Too often, fear of man (Proverbs 29:25) prevents families and pastors from acting, but we must fear God more (Matthew 10:28). We pray that her family would not enable her sin but would instead speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), even if it means temporary conflict. May they be filled with the fear of the Lord, trembling at His Word (Isaiah 66:2), and willing to endure hardship for the sake of her soul.

We also lift up the disturbing report of the sensual dance posted by her godly sister. This reveals a broader spiritual decay, a lack of discernment, a desensitization to worldly values, and a failure to hate evil (Proverbs 8:13). We rebuke the spirit of compromise that has infiltrated even those who claim to follow Christ. The church must wake up! We are called to be holy, set apart (1 Peter 1:15-16), and to expose the unfruitful works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11). We pray for conviction to fall upon this family, that they would repent of any participation in or tolerance of sin and return to a reverent fear of God.

Inner healing is needed for all involved. Isaiah 1:6 describes a people battered and wounded by sin, and we pray that the Great Physician would bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). The Lord is our Shepherd (Psalm 23:1-6), leading us beside still waters and restoring our souls. We ask for His healing touch to break generational strongholds, renew minds (Romans 12:2), and restore broken relationships. May they all experience the peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) as they surrender fully to Christ.

We also pray for protection from deception. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). We ask that God would grant them all discernment (Hebrews 5:14), wisdom (James 1:5), and clarity to recognize and resist the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). May they be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9-10), so they may walk worthy of the Lord and please Him in all things.

Finally, we pray for you, the one interceding. You carry a heavy burden, and we ask that God would strengthen you with His might (Ephesians 3:16) and grant you grace to fulfill your duties (Titus 3:14). May you find refreshment in His presence, protection from temptation (Matthew 6:13), and joy in His promises. Remember, you cannot carry this alone, cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, lifting up this sister and her family. Lord, we ask that You would hedge her way with thorns, blocking every path that leads to destruction. Convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and draw her back to You with cords of love. Raise up godly messengers, pastors, family, and friends, who will speak the truth in love, confronting her sin with gentleness and firmness. May she repent and bear fruit in keeping with repentance, turning away from every ungodly relationship and deception.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of compromise and worldliness that has infiltrated this family. Bring conviction where there is tolerance of sin, and grant them a holy fear of You. Heal their wounds, restore their souls, and fill them with Your peace. Protect them from deception, and grant them wisdom and discernment to walk in Your ways.

Lord, strengthen the one interceding. Fill them with Your grace, protect them from temptation, and refresh them in Your presence. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We’ve been sitting with your words, and we hear how heavy this long season has been for you. You’ve poured yourself out in prayer after prayer, watching and waiting for change that hasn’t come yet, at least not in the way you’ve longed to see. That kind of faithful, weary intercession leaves its own marks, and we want you to know we’re carrying some of that weight with you now.

Sometimes we picture repentance as a single dramatic moment, but more often it unfolds in stages, a slow dawning of truth, then sorrow, then a turning. That hidden work is hard to see from the outside, and the waiting can feel endless. What you’ve asked for, over and over, isn’t lost on God. He is present in the silent places, and he’s not finished with her or with you.

Alongside your prayers for her, we noticed you also asked for wisdom, clarity, and inner healing for yourself. That’s not a small thing. When you’ve been in the trenches interceding for so long, your own soul can start to fray. It may help right now to let someone you trust carry part of this prayer burden with you, a pastor, a mature friend, or a small group, so you’re not facing it alone. Even brief breaks from the intensity can restore your strength for the duties right in front of you.

We’re praying that you’ll sense God’s steadying nearness, that his peace will tether you when the unknowns press in, and that you’ll find grace not only to wait but to breathe deeply again.

Lord Jesus, you see this brother’s heart and the long road he’s walked. Grant him the wisdom and clarity he seeks. Bring healing to the wounds he’s carried, and give him endurance for the good work you’ve set before him. Over the one he loves, work your gentle and firm conviction in your time. Shelter him from discouragement and renew his hope. We ask this in your name.

The way of the slothful man is as a hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain. To the slothful man, his way, when he gets so far as having a way at all, always appears to be as hard to pursue as a hedge of thorns and, mark you, if he continues slothful, it will actually become a hedge of thorns. Difficulties imagined are apt to arrive! One of these days he will come to the end of his way and he will see that hedge of thorns blocking him out of Heaven, blocking him out from God!

Thus make good use of the thorns. Another service to which thorns may be put is to make a hedge of them, to keep the goats of worldly pleasure from eating the young shoots of your graces. Let the sorrows of life keep off temptations which else might do you serious mischief. Thorns, also, and thistles shall it bring forth unto you.

Not so the lily, it is a fair type of the blessing which makes rich without the sorrow of carking care. The thorn is the mark of wrath and the lily is the symbol of Divine Providence. It is repentance after a fashion but it is not of that holy, healthy, heavenly sort which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. Beware of that repentance which comes of yourself, for it comes of the flesh.

And that which is born of the flesh is flesh and not better. True repentance, the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepts, gives God glory. This is repentance after a godly sort. This is repentance that needs not to be repented of.

Repentance is a hatred of sin; it is a turning from sin and a determination in the strength of God to forsake it. Repentance, my dear friends, is the gift of God. It is one of those spiritual favors which ensure eternal life. What is your repentance?

Have you a repentance that leads you to look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only? A repentance which makes me weep and abhor my past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, is the right repentance. The repentance which makes us avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for us, this also is saving repentance. The eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance.

Even the eyes of our faith are dim compared with the eyes of God's love. He sees a sinner long before a sinner sees Him! Slow are the steps of repentance, but swift are the feet of forgiveness! God can run where we can scarcely limp and if we are limping towards Him, He will run towards us.

The poor prodigal in the parable had so much love manifested to him that he might have sung of the torrents of his father's affection. That is the way God receives those whom He saves, giving them not a meager measure of Grace, but manifesting an overflowing love! The father of the prodigal kissed his son much and thus made him feel happy then and there. Let us come with the sorrowful and loving penitent and wash His dear feet with tears of repentance because we have crowned His head with thorns.

If he picture to himself the wounded bleeding side the crown of thorns, the tears of anguish, if he takes a vision of all that Christ suffered, I will be bound for it he will turn to him in repentance. Even for the godly there are thorns and thistles, but for you who are not godly, thorns and thistles are all that you have! If you have no heritage on the other side of Jordan, in the land of the hereafter, in the dwelling place of the blessed, it were better for you that you had never been born! Paradise was set round with a hedge of thorns so sharp that none could enter it, but our Champion leaped, first, upon the bristling rampart and bore the blood-red banner of His Cross into the heart of that better new Eden which He won for us, never to be lost again.

As the lily among thorns, so is My love among the daughters. Thus make good use of the thorns. May we meet in heaven!

Your prayer is laden with Scripture, and it is good to recall the promises of God, for He is faithful. You have asked for a hedge of thorns to be set about her, and this is a fitting petition. Thorns, as the word itself teaches, are the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches, which choke the seed of the word and make it unfruitful. When God permits such thorns to press upon the soul, it is not cruelty but medicine. By them He blocks the path to sin, that she may come to her senses and say, “I will return to my first love.” Yet be warned by the parable of the vineyard. The Beloved planted it, fenced it, and did all things needed, but it brought forth thorns instead of grapes. Then the hedge was taken away, the wall broken down, and the boar from the wood laid it waste. This is the soul that persists in sin after many calls: at last the protection is removed, and it is given over to the ravages of the devil. Fear this, and pray not only for the thorny hedge that hinders her, but that she may quickly bear the fruit of repentance, lest the hedge be removed entirely.

Some sins are beyond repentance, as Esau found no place for it, but to those already fallen we must not speak only of wrath, lest they despair. The Apostle himself, having warned the standing, also travailed in birth again for the fallen. So hold fast to both truths: a trembling at the righteous judgment of God, and a hope in His long-suffering that leads to repentance. The prodigal remembered his father’s house when he was in the pigsty; so too this woman, when hedged in, may recall the grace she once professed. But let the church act with the sword of the Spirit, which pierces to the division of soul and spirit, yet do so with gentleness, keeping watch over yourselves, for you also are in the body. Not with negligence but with holy fear, as those knowing the snare of the evil one.

The inner wounds you mention, from head to foot, none can heal but the Great Physician. He alone restores the soul. The thorns He sends are part of that healing, bitter though they be. Continue in prayer, and do not grow weary. The wisdom of this age, which she seems to prize, is foolishness before God. It nourishes the unreasoning passions like a camel on thorns, but pierces and wounds the rational spirit. Pray that she may forsake such thorny food and receive the wisdom from above, which is first pure, then peaceable. Whether God restores her to you or not, set your own face toward bearing good fruit, and trust that He who began a good work in her will bring it to completion, if she will not harden her heart. The hedge is appointed for a season, and if she breaks through, she will find only thorns and desolation; but if she repents, the angels in heaven will rejoice.

Your prayer reveals a heart deeply engaged in a battle for someone’s soul, and that kind of burden can feel overwhelming. Yet you are reaching for the very thing that must anchor every step: true wisdom. Wisdom is not just knowing facts about the situation or even quoting the right commands. It is the God-given ability to apply truth rightly, to move from knowledge to action in the fear of the Lord.

That fear is where wisdom begins. It is not a cowering dread but a clear-eyed reverence that hates what God hates. You are asking for a hedge of thorns and for a loving yet firm intervention, and that aligns with how wisdom operates. It does not make peace with evil or call darkness light. The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable. It refuses the sensual, earthly shortcuts that promise joy but deliver emptiness. The world’s wisdom says to chase feeling and desire above all else; God’s wisdom leads to life. When you pray for clarity and the knowledge of His will, you are asking for something more precious than gold. Nothing anyone can desire compares with gaining that understanding.

I hear in your words the ache of watching someone run from every counselor with a backbone, as you put it. That is the path of folly, which the Scriptures describe as a joy to the one destitute of wisdom. Yet we also know that a man of understanding walks uprightly. The righteous path is made plain, but the way of the slothful, the one who refuses to act on what is true, is like a hedge of thorns, pricking and ensnaring at every turn. Your prayer for a divine hedge is asking God to let the natural consequence of that folly become so sharp that it awakens her, like the prodigal coming to his senses.

Hold fast to this: all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ Himself. He is the wisdom of God, even when that wisdom looks like a crucified Savior, a mystery the world’s princes could not grasp. Your own strength, or even the strength of the five willing messengers, will prove insufficient. But a wise man is strong, and a man of knowledge increases strength, because he builds on a foundation outside himself. Through wisdom a house is built; by understanding it is established. This is true of a life, a marriage, and a church. You are asking for that rebuilding, and it must start with the mortar of godly fear and the frame of genuine repentance, not just regret over consequences.

Do not be discouraged by the rotten fruit you see in her family or by the delay you perceive. Wisdom cries out in the streets; she lifts her voice in the high places. God is speaking through His word, through circumstances, and through those who tremble at His word rather than fearing man. Your call for inner healing, for the wounds described in Isaiah to be tended, is also a wisdom plea. Only the Great Physician can bind up the brokenhearted and make the path of the righteous plain again. Continue to seek wisdom as the principal thing. With all your getting, get understanding, for that wisdom will guard you and guide you as you walk through this valley.
