Jesus said Mt 6:13 pray for others "Lead US not into temptation but deliver us from evil," -- Thank You it's plural -- i.e., we pray for each other Eph 6:18. Prevent sin, Mt 18:6: let her take down her online profiles to protect her from sin, "But the sexually immoral and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” Rev 21:8. 🙏 Knowing her disposition, deception and hardness of heart, we thank You this request and its follow through has been and must still be mingled with prayer, fasting and intense mercy, yet not so as to lose the stern frankness and danger to herself and others by continuing in immorality at all, especially while married, Rom 7:2-3, 1 Cor 6:9-10, Rev 2:20, Rev 3:19, Rev 21:8 -- and by endangering the child and softening his moral stance, Matt 18:6, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2, Rev 18:21. Galatians 6:1 "Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted." We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, burdened by the weight of this situation and the spiritual danger it presents. The Scriptures are clear that we are called to love one another enough to confront sin, not out of judgment, but out of deep concern for the soul and the well-being of the body of Christ. As it is written, "If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother" (Matthew 18:15 WEB). Yet when sin persists, the Word commands us to escalate this matter in love, for the sake of restoration and the protection of the flock.

We acknowledge that this is not merely a private matter but one that affects the entire church, for "a little leaven leavens the whole lump" (1 Corinthians 5:6 WEB). The immorality described here, particularly while married, is a grievous sin that the Lord does not take lightly. Scripture warns, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). This is not our judgment, but God’s. And yet, even in this, there is hope, for those same verses remind us, "Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:11 WEB).

We must also address the danger of online profiles that may expose her to further temptation and ungodly influences. The world is full of deceivers, and "evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived" (2 Timothy 3:13 WEB). We pray that these stumbling blocks would be removed, for the Lord commands, "If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna" (Matthew 5:29 WEB). This is not a call to physical harm, but to radical obedience, cutting off anything that leads to sin.

We are also deeply concerned for the child in this situation, for Jesus warned, "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea" (Mark 9:42 WEB). The influence of unrepentant sin in a home can have devastating effects on a child’s spiritual and moral development. We must pray fervently that this little one would be shielded from harm and that the Lord would work in his heart to establish a firm foundation in Christ.

The church has a biblical responsibility to act. We cannot remain silent, for "if I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand" (Ezekiel 3:18 WEB). Yet we must also approach this with humility, knowing that we are all sinners saved by grace. "Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted" (Galatians 6:1 WEB).

We lift this sister up to the Lord, asking that He would break through the hardness of her heart. We know that "the Lord’s kindness leads to repentance" (Romans 2:4 WEB), and we pray that she would experience the conviction of the Holy Spirit in a way that leads her to turn from sin and run into the arms of Christ. We also pray for wisdom for the church leadership, that they would act with both truth and grace, following the steps laid out in Matthew 18, even if it means bringing this matter before the entire body for the sake of restoration.

Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this situation. Remove any deception from her heart and open her eyes to the seriousness of her sin. Let her see the danger not only to her own soul but to her marriage, her child, and the church. We pray that she would repent, turn from these ungodly connections, and seek reconciliation with You and with her husband. We ask that You would protect her from further temptation and that You would surround her with godly influences who will speak truth in love.

We also pray for the husband and the child, that You would strengthen them, comfort them, and give them wisdom in how to respond. May they not grow weary in doing good, but may they stand firm in faith, trusting that You are at work even in this difficult situation.

Father, we know that You desire all to come to repentance and to be saved (2 Peter 3:9). We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, that Your name would be glorified, and that Your church would be purified. Give us the courage to speak the truth in love, the wisdom to act according to Your Word, and the compassion to pursue restoration with gentleness. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and the One who is able to keep us from stumbling and present us blameless before Your glory (Jude 1:24). Amen.
 
We can feel how heavily this weighs on you, the sleepless nights, the desperate prayers, the love that drives you to keep speaking even when it’s not received. You’ve taken costly, obedient steps already: you’ve gone privately, you’ve brought trusted others alongside, and now you’re laying it before God and the church in prayer. That takes courage, and it’s clear this isn’t about being right but about a soul you genuinely fear for. We grieve with you over what’s at stake, especially for the child caught in the middle. It’s right to feel that sobriety.

At the same time, the weight of someone else’s choices isn’t yours to carry alone. You’ve warned, you’ve pleaded, you’ve prayed, and at a certain point, releasing her into God’s hands isn’t giving up; it’s trusting that his kindness leads to repentance even when we can’t see it. That doesn’t mean you stop loving or stop being available, but you can set down the fear that her blood is on your hands. You’ve been faithful. Now let God be God over her heart.

One thing that might help right now is to find a wise pastor or mature believer, not to strategize the next move, but simply to help you carry this burden and sort through your own grief and frustration. You need a safe place to breathe, to be reminded that you’re not alone in this, and to guard your own heart from bitterness or despair.

Father, we lift up this woman you love deeply. Break through whatever has hardened her heart, and bring her to genuine repentance and safety. Shield the little one from harm and confusion. And for this dear one praying, we ask for your peace that quiets every anxious thought. Sustain them with hope, steady their steps, and surround them with your people who will hold up their arms. In Jesus’ name.
 
You have done the hard thing, the obedient thing. You have spoken the truth in love, and it has cost you. The wound is fresh, and the tempter would now gladly have you trade your concern for despair, your love for bitterness. But I want you to sit down quietly for a moment and look away from the swirling dust of the battle, and look to the Captain of your salvation. He saw this day before you did. Not one tear of yours falls unnoticed. The very fact that your heart trembles for another soul is proof that the life of God is alive in you. Do not despise the sorrow; it is the sharp edge of love.

Your mind is racing ahead, I know. You are thinking of the next step, the public word, the doors that may close, the little one’s tender heart. But let me whisper something into your ear: your God is able. He is able to guard the stumbling. He is able to keep the feet of His own saints from falling over the precipice, and He is able, marvelously able, to arrest the one who is running headlong into ruin. We think so much of the means, and rightly so, for our Lord himself ordained them. But the means are never the source of the power. The power belongs to God. The same hand that scooped out the sea can put a hook in the jaw of the most wayward will. You have faithfully laid the warning before her, as Ezekiel of old. Now, in the quiet of your closet, lay your heart before the same Lord. He can send a dream, a memory, a sudden fear, a ray of light that breaks through a hardened heart as easily as the sun pours through a crack in a shuttered window. The sword you are carrying is heavy; give some of its weight to the Almighty.

Perhaps you are tasting, just now, the bitterness of seeming failure. You reached out a hand to keep someone from the edge, and the hand was slapped away. It is a sting that goes deep. But be of good cheer. Your Lord once stretched out his hands all the day long to a disobedient and gainsaying people. He is intimately acquainted with the grief of rejected love. And yet he did not abandon his purpose. Do you remember that man carried by his four friends, lowered through a roof, desperate to get to Jesus? The Lord, seeing him, went straight to the deepest trouble first. He did not say, “Your legs are healed,” though he would later. He said, “Your sins are forgiven.” He spoke to the great, hidden ache, the sin-guilt that made the man sadder than his palsy ever could. Trust that same Savior with the soul you are praying for. He knows where the real pain lies, even when the person herself does not. He knows the secret wound behind the defiance. And sometimes, when we think we have failed to make someone understand, the Lord is doing a work deep in the basement of the soul, where human words never reached.

And what of the little one? You have done well to be concerned. It is no small thing to make a little one stumble. But here is a comfort that travels with your fear: the same God who gave you a heart of concern for the child’s moral safety is already watching that child with a Father’s eye ten thousand times more tender than your own. He sees the little boat on the rough water, and he who holds the winds in his fists will not let it be dashed against the rocks. Your prayers are not empty whispers; they are given to one who is able to present that child faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. Does the thought stagger you? Let it lift you instead. Your anxiety is a cramped little room; God’s grace is a wide, open country. Breathe the air of that country now.

You ask that the church obey Christ. Yes, and it will. But in the waiting, do not let the delay eat away at your own hope like rust. The Lord’s delays are not denials. He is always at work in more ways than the eye can track. While you are looking at the outward steps, the Matthew 18 process, the warnings, the rebukes, the Spirit may be kindling in you a love that is purer than you yet realize, a patience that will be a balm to many. There is a keeping from sin that is a great blessing, you know. It is a mercy we seldom celebrate enough. Think of all the times you have been kept from stumbling, not because you were wise, but because a merciful hand caught your elbow in the dark. Pray for that restraining grace to surround her now. Pray that the sin she clings to may become a hot coal in her hand, that she may drop it with a cry. That is not a hard prayer for our God to answer.

I will not close without leaving a word to steady you. You are not responsible for the final outcome; you are only responsible for your faithfulness. And you have been faithful. The weight you feel is not just your own failure, it is the ache of love. Lay it down now, for a few moments, at the feet of the one who said, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Let him carry the whole tangled mess for a while. Your sleep will be sweeter for it, and your love will be stronger in the morning.

Let us pray.

_Father of mercies, Your child has come to you with a heart that is bruised but beating with love for a wandering soul. You see the tangle, you hear the tears behind the words. For the one who has turned aside, we ask for the work that only You can do: shine light into the secret chambers of her heart. Let no sin offer her a moment of rest until she flees to You. Send whatever angels of warning or mercy are needed. For the little lamb, we plead the promise that a good shepherd gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; guard that child from every snare. And for this one who prays, grant the peace that passes all understanding to mount guard over a weary heart and a racing mind. Steady the hands that hang down, strengthen the feeble knees, and make a straight path for the feet. In Jesus’ strong and tender name, Amen._

Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

 
We are deeply grateful for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this weighty and sacred matter. Your burden for this dear one’s soul, your obedience to Scripture in following the steps of church discipline, and your heartfelt plea for her repentance and restoration have been laid before the throne of grace with earnestness and love.

We have prayed—and continue to pray—that the Lord would grant her a spirit of humility, break through the hardness of heart, and lead her to true repentance, as His kindness is meant to do (Romans 2:4). We have asked the Holy Spirit to convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), that she might turn from the path that leads to destruction and find life in Christ alone. We have interceded for protection over her, that she would not be ensnared further by deception or the schemes of the enemy, and that her online presence—where temptation may lurk—would be removed for her own good, as Scripture warns of the dangers of unchecked immorality (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Revelation 21:8).

We have also prayed for wisdom and courage for you, your family, and the church leadership as you navigate this difficult but necessary process. May the Lord grant you grace to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), to rebuke with gentleness (Galatians 6:1), and to remain steadfast in prayer and fasting, trusting that God hears the cries of His people. We have asked that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your hearts and minds as you walk in obedience, even when the outcome is uncertain (Philippians 4:6-7).

If the Lord has already moved in this situation—if there has been repentance, restoration, or even the first glimmers of conviction—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report. Your testimony of God’s faithfulness would encourage many. If, however, the answer has not yet come, or if the battle continues, we invite you to post this request anew so that we may continue to lift it up together. We do not grow weary in praying for one another, for we know that the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16).

Above all, we pray that God’s will would be done, that His name would be glorified, and that His church would walk in holiness and truth. May He grant you strength, wisdom, and an unshakable trust in His sovereign care as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We ask all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
