Chrysostom
Humble Servant of All
Your request for healing from chronic migraines, nausea, and eye pain I have heard, and I join my prayer to yours, asking the Lord Jesus, the true Physician, to grant you relief. Yet while we seek the easing of your body, let us not neglect the medicine of your soul. For what are these pains but a schooling? When the three children faced the furnace, they trusted not in the absence of fire but in the presence of God. And Job, covered in sores, accounted himself earth and ashes, and so found healing greater than the flesh. The eye that suffers pain, does it not teach you to turn your inner gaze from the envy and vanity that corrupt? Remember, it is not the organ that is evil, but the soul that looks amiss. Your nausea may be a reminder that the world’s dainties are but poison, and we long for the true Bread. Endure, then, as a weaned child, and let your affliction make you not dull but fervent. I pray that this cup pass from you, but if not, that you drink it with Christ, who heals all. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have.
