Christian Talkshow

Dear Loed Jesus, Please let me go on a Christian talk show on National TV before the year ends. Help me get there. I want to glorify you Oh Lord and the works you have done. In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart’s desire to share the glorious works of the Lord on a national platform, and we rejoice in your passion to glorify Him. What a beautiful thing it is when believers long to make Christ known! The Word tells us, "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16 WEB). Your eagerness to testify of God’s faithfulness aligns with His call for us to proclaim His name to the nations.

However, we must also seek the Lord’s will above our own ambitions. While platforms and opportunities are not wrong in themselves, we must guard our hearts against pride or self-promotion. Jesus warned, "Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be seen by them" (Matthew 6:1 WEB). Even in our desire to serve God, we must examine our motives, are we seeking His glory alone, or is there a measure of personal recognition mixed in? The Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7 WEB), and He delights in those who walk in humility before Him.

We also encourage you to consider whether this specific desire is truly from the Lord or from your own longing for validation. The apostle Paul sought opportunities to preach the Gospel, but he also submitted to God’s timing, saying, "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:14 WEB). Sometimes, the Lord refines us in smaller settings before entrusting us with larger ones. Are you faithfully serving where He has placed you now? Are you stewarding well the platforms He has already given you, whether in your church, community, or online?

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for Your servant’s desire to make Your name known. Lord, we ask that You would refine this longing to align perfectly with Your will. If it is Your plan for them to share Your testimony on a national stage, we pray You would open the doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8 WEB). Prepare their heart, their words, and their spirit to reflect You alone. If this desire is not from You, we ask that You replace it with Your perfect purpose for their life. Help them to walk in humility, seeking Your glory above all else. May they be faithful in the small things so that You may entrust them with greater things (Luke 16:10 WEB). Guard them from pride, comparison, or discouragement, and fill them with Your peace as they wait on You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only by His blood that we have access to Your throne. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s face in prayer and fasting, asking Him to confirm His will for you. Surround yourself with godly counsel, those who will speak truth into your life and help you discern the Lord’s leading. And remember, the most powerful testimony is not always the one shared on a stage, but the one lived out in everyday faithfulness. "He must increase, but I must decrease" (John 3:30 WEB). May the Lord direct your steps and use you mightily for His kingdom, wherever He leads.

We love your heart behind this request, a deep desire to see Jesus lifted up so that others might know the goodness of God. That's a beautiful thing, and we're grateful you're willing to share what the Lord has done in your life.

While you wait and trust God for an open door onto national television, we want to encourage you not to miss the opportunities right in front of you. Sometimes the Lord uses our faithfulness in smaller, quieter places to prepare us for whatever comes next. Whether it's sharing your testimony with a neighbor, recording a simple video for your local church's online presence, or speaking at a small gathering, every step matters. National platforms can be wonderful, but God's glory shines just as brightly when we testify to His goodness over coffee with a friend.

Keep your eyes open for unexpected invitations, and keep sharing the story He's writing in your life. Our prayer is that He will guide your path, open the right doors at the right time, and above all, let your life become a living, daily testimony to His power and love.

Father, thank You for the works You've done in our friend's life. We ask You to continue directing their steps and to give them opportunities to glorify You, however You see fit. In Jesus' name, amen.

You desire to appear on a Christian talk show on national television before the year’s end, that you might glorify God and the works He has done. Set that request now before the Lord with honest heart-searching, for the first business of every soul is to be right with God who made you. If you do not come to close grips with God and humble yourself before Him, you know not, as yet, what spiritual life really means. The Christian finds the summit of his joy not in a public platform, but in fellowship with his God. To get near to God is the great passion of our spirit. Have you declared your ways to Him alone, and in secret made your case known, not with any view to vain-glory, but only that you might glorify Him? For the man of God alone with God speaks first to his Father’s face, and hears His voice in return, and then he is taught what to speak to others.

Yet it is true that we are born to talk, and we must talk of the wondrous works of God in ordinary, common, everyday conversation. If the Lord should open a door for you to speak in a larger sphere, see that your aim is not to please men, but to please God. Many a church and many a witness has been brought low through seeking after that which puffs up rather than that which edifies in love. Do not run after new things as if that which is new could be a god, but let your talk be of Him who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. The knowledge that is worth spreading is Christward knowledge, not a Christless Theism. Show forth the light of the knowledge of God in the face of Jesus Christ, and remember that your first duty is to live that light before those nearest to you, if a servant has an unconverted master, let him labor with double diligence to glorify God that he may win his master; so in all domestic companionship, let the love of God be hallowed at your own table before you seek a national one.

Be importunate in prayer, for importunity is very prevalent with God. Yet check your spirit: the Christian never asks for vengeance, but for the privilege to possess what his God gave him. If this desire is of the Lord, He will fulfill it in His time; if it be withheld, then surely it is that you might learn to trust Him in the low-spirited times. Do not give up your hope in Him, nor run from God, but fly to Him. Whatever your circumstances, let them drive you to God. If you think He has forsaken your longing, still pray, still cry, “My God, my God,” and be more earnest than ever. The godly in their anguish turn to the hand which smites them. Live nearer to God, that whether on television or in the quiet corner, your sole business may be to please Him who has redeemed you. Rest not till you know the truth of that redemption by being reconciled to God through the death of His Son. For this is the Christian circumcision, the heart renewed, the body of sin put off, and then, waking up your heart, tune your tongue to compete with angels before the throne, in whatever place Providence appoints you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The desire to make known the works of God is indeed a noble one, but examine carefully the root of this longing for a public platform. True glory is not found before the eyes of men, but in a life adorned with virtue. I ask you: would you still glorify Him if no camera recorded it, if no audience applauded? For the Apostle came not with excellency of speech, nor did he seek such display, but determined to know nothing among men save Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The Lord is not glorified by the size of our stage but by the purity of our heart and the steadfastness of our soul in tribulation.

If He wills for you to speak to many, He will open the door in His time and in His way, often not through ambition but through humility and suffering. Beware the leaven of the Pharisees, who made a fair show in the flesh that they might glory in the appearance of disciples. The grace of God is sufficient for you, and His strength is made perfect in weakness. Seek first to glorify Him in your spirit by practicing every virtue in secret; then, even without a talk show, you will be a sweet savor unto Him. Be not anxious for a great testimony, but be faithful in the small, daily dying to self, for that is the martyrdom which glorifies the Master and prepares the soul for whatever work He has appointed.

Your desire to glorify the Lord and speak of the works He has done is precious to Him. He hears that. I am reminded that when you talk about Him, He leans in and listens. He pays attention to a heart that wants to honor His name.

But consider something deeper. We often present a plan to God for how we intend to glorify Him, as if we are showing Him the mountain on which we will build. Yet God is the one who says, "I will show you the mountain." He is the one who raises up a Cyrus long before the person is even born, preparing the way for a specific work. If this talk show is His doing, nothing can stop it. If it is not, no amount of striving will make it happen. And perhaps He tests us in these very longings to show us where our confidence lies. He must first reveal if the desire is for His glory or for the approval of people and a national platform. He doesn't look at the outward appearance of a thing, at the bright lights and large audiences. He looks at the heart.

The real center of this prayer is not a television studio; it is the presence of God. A person can stand on a national stage and speak of God without ever truly glorifying Him if the heart is not first clear before Him. And a person can glorify God perfectly while unknown and unseen by the world. We get the order backward so easily. We think a big stage demonstrates His glory, but His glory is already radiant and unapproachable. You cannot use a platform to add anything to Him. What Moses asked for was not a microphone, but the glory itself: "Lord, show me your glory." That is the prayer that changes a life.

So pursue God, not the studio. Let your greatest aim be to stand in the sight of God with a clear conscience, doing what is right before Him. If you are faithful to talk about the Lord when you wake up, when you walk along the way, and when you sit in your house, He will determine the venue. He loves to do wondrous things, and He alone knows how to get His word out. Trust that if the Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus by taking what is His and showing it to you, then He will also open every necessary door. Do not seek the glory that comes from being seen; seek the glory that Jesus had with the Father before the world existed. Make that your request, and then listen for what God the Lord will speak.
