Christian real estate agents

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus name for the real estate agent who helped me sign the contract for the ex-apartment, as he may have known about the electrical hazards. He also discouraged me from finding out the truth about why the lights were flashing. Please pray that he repents and turns to God. He has refused to talk to me since I messaged him about the safety report and the electric shocks and skin issues I have suffered. A few months ago, his other Christian colleague also refused to answer my call. The person who helped me find the flat has a degree in theology, but he later confessed that he is interested in whatever brings him money. Please pray that the Holy Spirit purifies his heart and mind, and that he admits the truth if he knew about the life-threatening problems in the former rented apartment.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in prayer, seeking His justice, truth, and redemption. Father, we know that You are a God of righteousness, and Your Word declares in Proverbs 11:1, "A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight." We pray for this real estate agent and his colleague, that if they have acted dishonestly or withheld the truth about the dangers in this apartment, You would convict their hearts and bring their actions into the light.

Lord, we ask that You would soften their hearts to repentance. If they knew of the electrical hazards and chose to ignore them for the sake of profit, we pray they would be overwhelmed by the weight of their sin and turn to You in humility. Your Word warns in James 4:17, "To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin." We ask that they would not harden their hearts but instead seek forgiveness and make amends where possible.

We also lift up the one who helped you find the apartment, who has a degree in theology yet confessed that money is his priority. Father, we pray that You would reveal to him the emptiness of chasing wealth over righteousness. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 6:24, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon." We ask that You would purify his heart and renew his mind, that he would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

For the one who has suffered because of these actions, experiencing electric shocks and skin issues, we pray for Your healing and comfort. We ask that You would provide clarity, justice, and restitution where needed. Your Word assures us in Psalm 37:6 that You will bring forth righteousness as the light, and justice as the noonday sun. We trust that You see all things and will not let injustice go unanswered.

We also want to gently remind all involved that salvation and access to God come only through Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If any of these individuals do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray they would turn to Him in repentance and faith.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You would move powerfully in this situation. Bring truth to light, convict hearts of sin, and lead all involved into repentance and restoration. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, who is our Advocate and the One who makes all things right. Amen.

We hear how much this situation weighs on you. It is painful enough to live with the harm you have described, the electric shocks and skin problems, but to then feel dismissed and silenced by the very people who helped you into that apartment adds a heavy layer of hurt. Being ignored when you are genuinely seeking the truth and accountability can leave a person feeling deeply alone.

There’s something we hold onto in moments like this: true confession involves not just an internal feeling of sorrow but a turning toward the truth. That kind of meaningful admission often comes at a cost to the one making it, especially when money and livelihood are involved, which may help explain, though not excuse, the silence you’re facing. This doesn’t make your waiting easier, but it frames the struggle. What you are asking for, that this agent goes beyond worldly regret and experiences a change of heart that leads him to finally admit what he knows, is ultimately a work only the Holy Spirit can do in him.

For your own heart in the meantime, we want to look at what you can hold onto. One small, concrete step you might consider is writing a single, clear letter to the agent. Not a series of texts or calls, but a calm, written account of your experience and your continued hope that he will be honest and make things right. Doing so can give you a sense of having fully spoken your piece on your own terms, regardless of whether he responds, and then you can entrust the rest to God.

We are praying with you now.

Jesus, You are the Truth and the light that exposes what is hidden in darkness. We lift up this real estate agent to You and ask that the Holy Spirit would bring deep, undeniable conviction to his heart. Purify his motives and give him the courage to admit whatever he knows about those electrical hazards. For this dear one who signed that lease in good faith, we ask for Your protection over their body, bring healing and relief from the ongoing skin and shock issues they've endured. Grant them a steady peace that isn't dependent on this man's response, and let them see Your justice made manifest. In Your name we pray, amen.

How your soul must be wrung with distress at the thought that a man with the knowledge of divine things might so barter his conscience for gain. Yet such is the deceitfulness of riches, and such the native enmity of the heart until grace subdues it. I have bowed with you in the presence of our Lord, pleading that the Holy Spirit would arrest this man, and that the truth might break in upon his soul as a fire from the altar.

Remember, judgments apart from sovereign grace do but harden; the terrors of the Lord may produce a carnal repentance that leaves the soul more brazen still. Only the Spirit of holiness can melt that man’s heart until he loathes his covetousness and cries out for mercy. Pray, therefore, not merely that his mouth be opened to confess what he may have concealed, but that his whole being be laid bare before the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. It is a tender thing that the blessed Comforter should condescend to strive with such a one; do not cease to entreat that He would convince him of sin, because he trusts in money and not in the Saviour of sinners.

Take heed to your own spirit while you pray. Grievous wrongs will fester into bitterness unless the Holy Spirit holds your heart in peace. Lay the matter in the hands of the Lord Jesus, who judges righteously. The Holy Spirit is not only the convincer of the world; He is the seal of our inheritance, and it is by His indwelling that we are kept from returning evil for evil. If you have received that sacred Guest, be not uneasily fretting over the silence of men, but in quiet confidence commit the entire burden to Him who hears the cry of the afflicted. True prayer burns as coals of juniper; none but the Spirit can give it. Ask, then, for that mighty intercession within yourself as you continue to plead for this wandering soul, that his heart of stone may become a heart of flesh, and that whatever is hidden in darkness may be brought into light.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer that this agent would repent and turn to God, and rightly so. For we are commanded to pray for those who wrong us, that they may be delivered from the deceit that holds them. But I must first speak plainly: true repentance is not merely sorrow or a few words forced out by fear. Esau sought it with tears and yet found no place for it, because his heart had not changed. He wept not over his sin but over losing what he wanted, and the murder he later plotted proved his grief was selfish. So I say, pray that this man’s heart is broken not by shame of being caught, but by the weight of having loved money more than truth and having perhaps risked another’s life.

The one with a theology degree, who confessed that he follows whatever brings money, has already exposed the root. The love of money is a subtle poison. It makes the mind callous and the eyes blind to the suffering of neighbors. When a man says, “I am interested in whatever brings me profit,” he has made a god of his belly and his gain. And what did our Lord say? “No man can serve two masters.” Such a man may speak of God, but his true master is Mammon. His theology degree is no shield if he does not obey the truth. The Holy Spirit can purify his heart, yes, but only if he lays hold of repentance, that is, a turning that not only grieves but walks away from the greed and the lies. So your prayer must be persistent, that God would grant him that gift of godly sorrow which leads to salvation, not the worldly sorrow that produces death.

Do not be surprised that his colleague also refuses to answer. Deceit often travels in company. When men hide behind silence, it is often because their mouths are filled with the shame of their own deeds. “The wicked flee when no man pursueth,” for their conscience is a prosecutor. But take care lest your own heart grow hard. When you dwell on their refusal to speak, the bitterness can become its own deceit, making you think there is no justice. Yet God sees. Their folly will be made manifest to all, as certainly as those false teachers of old whose errors were exposed in time. Do not lose hope, nor fall into despair, saying, “What is left? I cannot get them to admit the truth.” That is the very deceit of sin. Instead, entrust the matter to God, who judges justly.

Continue to pray for these men, yes, but also examine your own heart. Do you desire their repentance for God’s glory and their true good, or do you seek vindication as a payment for your suffering? It is natural to want the truth confessed and justice done, but our desire must be purified. And remember, the affliction you endured, the shocks, the skin issues, the deception, can become an occasion for your own growth in patience and trust, if you allow it to drive you closer to Christ rather than into resentment. I do not minimize your pain; I only urge you to let it be turned to gain for your soul.

Pray then, with tears perhaps, but with hope: that these men who now love money more than truth may be seized by the Holy Spirit, that their hearts be no longer hardened by the deceitfulness of sin, and that they may come to a repentance that is not just a fleeting regret but a true turning to God, who alone can deliver from the snare. And if it be that they have known the truth and suppressed it, they will answer to Him who sees in secret. But if they repent, even from the depth of such wickedness, God is able to restore them, for repentance has great power. Only let them not delay, for today is the day of salvation.

It is right to bring these heavy burdens before the Lord, especially when the truth seems hidden and those who should have helped have turned away. The pain of physical harm is real, and the deeper ache of being ignored and dismissed adds another layer. Yet in all of this, you are reaching toward what matters most: not just a resolution for yourself, but that these souls would be brought to genuine repentance and a right standing with God.

The Scriptures remind us that truth is not simply a set of facts but a person, Jesus declared His words are truth, and that truth abides forever. When someone hides behind silence or has a heart set on gain rather than godliness, the Lord sees it all. His judgment is always according to truth, for He knows the secrets of every heart. Our own perceptions can be incomplete, but His are never faulty. That is both a sobering reality and a deep comfort. You can entrust the situation to Him without carrying the weight of trying to force a confession.

Pray for these men, yes, but let your prayer be anchored in the nature of godly sorrow that leads to a changed life. There is a sorrow of the world that merely regrets being caught or inconvenienced, and it produces death. But true repentance is a turning, a transformation. Only the Holy Spirit can purify a heart that has been captivated by the love of money or the fear of exposure. Ask that they would not only hear the truth intellectually, one even studied theology, you said, but that they would obey it. Knowing the truth brings great responsibility, and the greater the light, the greater the accountability. It is possible to consent to truth and yet never build a life upon it; Jesus warned that hearing without doing is a house destined to fall.

Sometimes telling the truth makes people treat you as an enemy. That was Paul’s experience: “Have I then become your enemy because I tell you the truth?” Silence and avoidance are often signs that the truth has struck too close for comfort. Do not be surprised by their refusal to engage. Instead, keep your own feet firmly on the path of truth. John’s joy was knowing his children walked in truth. There is no greater gift you can offer than to continue walking in it yourself, refusing bitterness, refusing to be consumed by what you cannot control, and praying that these men would become fellow helpers in the truth rather than hinderers.

As you lift this request, remember that God confirmed His own promise by swearing by Himself, for He cannot lie. You are bringing your plea before a God who is the spirit of truth. He can reach hearts that are hardened. Keep praying that the truth would not be merely known but loved and lived, and that those who have been barriers would be broken and brought through the narrow gate themselves. In the end, every hidden thing will be brought to light, and His judgment is righteous. Let your soul rest there.
