We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in prayer, for we see a great need for truth, integrity, and repentance in the lives of those involved. Father God, we know that You desire honesty and righteousness in all dealings, for Your Word declares, "The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy" (Proverbs 12:22). We pray that You would convict the hearts of those who may have withheld the truth or acted in ways that endangered others, not out of malice but out of a desire for Your justice and mercy to prevail.
Lord, we lift up the real estate agent who assisted in this transaction. We ask that You would break through any hardness of heart and bring him to a place of repentance. If he knew of the electrical hazards and failed to disclose them, we pray that the Holy Spirit would weigh heavily upon his conscience. Your Word warns, "Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy" (Proverbs 28:13). May he come to see the gravity of his actions and turn to You in humility, seeking forgiveness and restoration.
We also pray for the colleague who refused to answer your call. Father, we do not know the reasons behind his silence, but we ask that You would soften his heart and open his ears to the prompting of Your Spirit. If there is fear, pride, or guilt holding him back, we ask that You would remove those barriers and replace them with a desire to walk in integrity. Let him not be swayed by the love of money or the pressures of this world, for "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil" (1 Timothy 6:10). May he choose to honor You above all else.
For the one with a degree in theology who confessed his pursuit of money over godly principles, we pray for a transformation of heart. Lord, we know that knowledge alone does not save, it is a heart surrendered to You that brings true change. We ask that You would purify his heart and mind, aligning his desires with Yours. May he come to understand that "what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?" (Mark 8:36). Let him seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all else will be added unto him (Matthew 6:33).
Father, we also lift up the one who has suffered because of these circumstances. We ask that You would bring healing to their body, mind, and spirit. If there is fear, frustration, or anger, we pray that You would replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them wisdom as they navigate this situation, and surround them with godly counsel and support. May they find comfort in Your promise that "You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book" (Psalm 56:8).
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of deception, greed, or fear that may be at work in this situation. We declare that Your truth will prevail and that those who have acted unjustly will be brought to account, not only before men but before You. We pray that they would come to know the freedom that comes from walking in the light, for "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach You, and no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in Your justice, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
