In the Old Testament we read that the Jews were instructed to sacrifice a pure lamb for consumption and remove all leaven from their houses (Ex 12). Today we have a new and permanent Paschal Lamb, slain for us, and we must cleanse out the leaven of sin from within.

1 Corinthians 5
7. Take away, then, the old leaven, so that you may be a new mass, even as you are without leaven. For Christ has been put to death as our Passover.
8. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

The Bible clearly indicates in the New Testament that Christ is the New Pascha for believers in Him, and that this new passover is to be celebrated by Christians.

As the blood of the sacrificial lamb was a mark for death to pass over the Hebrew's home in Exodus, similarly the blood of the Lamb in the new Covenant guards our hearts and brings us eternal life.

Consequently the celebration of Christ's Resurrection became our first Christian Feast - the Christian Pascha.

Thank You Jesus!

That is a wonderful definition of pascha celebration. For sure all Jews even today celebrate Passover day in obedience to what God told them to do. Remember this day, on which you went free from Egypt, the house of bondage. How Adonai freed you from it with a mighty hand. Exo. 13:3 Jesus is the true Lamb that was slain to set us free from sin and evil and allow us to enter the kingdom of God and live with Him forever and ever. Amen

I thought that my voyage has come to its end when the doctor told me that cancer will take my life. At the last limit of my power the path for me on earth is coming to an end. I called the risen Savior, the Lord of life and death. Let me live. Let me honor and praise Your name. The risen Savior and Lord heard my call and send healing to my body and my soul was at rest again. I shall forever give Him all honor and praise to Him who send us here to earth to be a blessing to everyone we see around us.
