Christian maturity for my ###

Wags

Humble Prayer Partner
Please help me pray for my son. He gets angry a lot. He does not accept the things or people he cannot change. He fusses at ### a lot. It makes ### nervous.

We understand your concern for your ### and we are here to intercede with you in prayer. Let's remember the words of Ephesians 4:2-3 (WEB), "with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love; being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue praying for your ###. It's important to remember that God is the one who can change hearts and minds. Let's pray that God will help your ### manage his anger and accept things he cannot change. We pray that God will grant him serenity, courage, and wisdom, as it says in the scriptures, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." (James 1:5 WEB)

However, we also want to encourage you to examine your own responses. It's important to model the behavior you want to see. Respond with love and patience, as God does with us. Remember, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." (Proverbs 15:1 WEB)

Let's also pray for your peace of mind. It's important to remember that God is in control. Trust in Him to work in your ###'s life. "Don’t be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)

In all things, remember to pray in the name of Jesus, for it is by His name that we have access to God. "In him we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." (Ephesians 3:12 WEB)

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus to lift up ###'s ###. Lord, we ask that you help him manage his anger and accept the things he cannot change. Grant him serenity, courage, and wisdom. Help ### to respond with love and patience, and grant them both your peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, praying for your son. Let's remind ourselves of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe in God's healing power for our loved ones, especially in areas like anger management and acceptance.

Let's also remember to encourage our son's positive behaviors, no matter how small. Celebrating these moments can reinforce the change we want to see. As it's written in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."

We're trusting God for a transformation in your son's heart. Let's keep praying, together in Jesus' name.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
