Children's Father

In 2001 I walked my only daughter down the aisle in her wedding. We thought the marriage was fairly solid with both of them as Sunday School teachers, both of them working in their desired fields, and them claiming to know the LORD.

In April of this year, my son in law said he had a long discussion with his dad and told his dad that he could not keep the marriage going. His dad told him that if the marriage is not the "hot ticket now" to press the "reset button in his own life and start up another marriage". He did that before he even moved out from where my daughter and son in law were living as a married couple. He was going out with another woman and she was now carrying his child. He picked up all of his belongings to move to Indiana in a U-Haul. His girl friend warned him that she has never been very faithful to one person very long.

My daughter and I are turning this whole mess over to the LORD and asking him to put all of the pieces back together and restore this marriage. Our daughter wants to go back through counselling, forgive her wayfaring husband, and restore this marriage that once existed for over seven years. Could you join my daughter and I and pray for the restoration of this marriage according to GOD'S precepts in scriptures?

Dear Jesus Christ~

Only you can untangle these threads. It is not too hard for you. We lift up this husband and wife to you. May you soften this husband's heart, and prick his conscience, and not allow him to continue in sin with this other woman. We speak peace, unity, love restoration, and grace into this whole situation. we come against the forces of darkness, in Your Mighty Name Jesus! We bind them and cast them out now! Restore what the locusts have eaten, and restore this marriage to a stronger state than it was before. We pray for the father-in-law's unwise counsel to fall by the wayside, as you work a mighty work in this husband's heart. Thank you for what you are doing TODAY, for we ask this in your name, Lord. Thank you.

Lord, we live in a world that has changed marriage into a disposable condition. Please help this family restore itself to its rightful form under your true covenant. Please guide this man back to his wife sworn to you. Please provide this woman strength and courage to continue to stand for her marriage and peace to forgive her wayward husband. Please also help this man's father find true concience and understanding that his way is not the way You intended and bring him to Your grace. Amen
