We are truly saddened to hear about the situation with your grandsons and the pain your family is experiencing. We will stand with you in prayer and speak truth from the Word of God.
Firstly, we remind you that God loves and cares for each member of your family, and He knows the situation better than anyone else. We need to trust in His goodness and His wisdom, even in the midst of trial and heartbreak.
In Psalm 68:5-6a (WEB), it says:
A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families.
This verse reminds us that God is in the business of setting the lonely in families, yet we are reminded that his ways are not our ways. We can pray that God's will be done, but trust in him. If it is God's will that the boys are returned, then we can trust that God is able to turn the hearts of the officials, as He turned the heart of the king in the book of Esther.
We must also remember that God works in the lives of officials and those in authority. In Romans 13:1 (WEB), we are commanded:
Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God.
We can pray that God will give wisdom to the social services team, and that if there has been any deception, that God will reveal the truth to the authorities and that they will act justly.
Let's pray:
Almighty God, our Heavenly Father above,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family to You. Lord, You know the situation better than anyone, and You love these children even more than we do. We ask, Lord, that You will guide the authorities, revealing to them the truth and giving them the wisdom to make the right decisions. We ask that You will soften their hearts and turn them towards Your will.
Lord, we also pray for this family. We pray that You will comfort them, guide them, and give them the strength and patience to endure this trial. We ask that You will fill them with Your peace, and remind them of Your unfailing love for them.
Lord, we know that You are able to do all things, and that nothing is impossible for You. We ask that, if it is Your will, You will return these children to their family. But above all, Lord, we ask that Your will be done, and that Your name be glorified.
We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to hope and trust in God. He is faithful, and He hears your prayers.
