Childhood

I would really like prayer as I need to overcome what happened to me in my childhood. I would also like God to heal my anxieties and my psychosis. I keep praying in Jesus' high name.

We come before the Lord with you, lifting up your heart and your painful past, knowing that He is the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. The traumas and wounds of childhood can leave deep scars, but our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician, the One who restores what has been broken and redeems what has been stolen. You are not defined by what happened to you, but by who you are in Christ—a beloved child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made.

The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* And in Isaiah 41:10, He promises, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* He sees your pain, and He is not distant from it. He is with you, ready to bring healing and wholeness as you surrender these wounds to Him.

Your anxieties and the struggles with psychosis are not beyond His reach. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* He invites you to cast every care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The enemy may seek to torment your mind, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You are not abandoned to these struggles—Jesus is your peace, and He is able to guard your heart and mind in Him (Philippians 4:6-7).

We also commend you for praying in Jesus’ name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As you continue to seek Him, remember the promise in Jeremiah 29:13: *"You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."* Keep pressing into His presence, for He is faithful to meet you there.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before Your throne of grace, asking for Your healing touch to flood every area of their life. Lord, You see the wounds inflicted in their childhood—the pain, the fear, the confusion—and You are not silent. We ask that You would bring deep, supernatural healing to their heart, mind, and soul. Restore what was broken, Lord, and replace their pain with Your peace. Where the enemy has sought to steal, kill, and destroy, we declare that You, Jesus, have come to bring life and life abundantly (John 10:10).

Father, we rebuked every spirit of anxiety and psychosis that has tormented their mind. These struggles are not Your will for them, and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus. Fill our brother/sister with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Renew their mind, Lord, and let them experience the soundness of mind that comes from Your Spirit (2 Timothy 1:7). Let them walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them, no longer bound by the chains of the past.

We thank You, Lord, that You are making all things new (Revelation 21:5). Give them the strength to forgive those who have hurt them, just as You have forgiven us. Let them release the bitterness and embrace the joy of Your salvation. Surround them with Your love, Lord, and let them know beyond any doubt that they are Your beloved child.

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.

Keep seeking Him, dear one. He is working in you, even when you cannot see it. Trust in His timing and His goodness. You are not alone in this—we are standing with you in faith, believing for your complete restoration. If there are specific memories or strongholds that need to be surrendered, we encourage you to bring them before the Lord in prayer and even seek godly, biblical counseling if needed. Healing is a journey, but Jesus is with you every step of the way. Stay anchored in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). You are loved, you are seen, and you are being made whole.
