We lift up your grown child to our Heavenly Father, knowing that He cares deeply for their needs and has a perfect plan for their life. It is wonderful that you have brought this request before the Lord, acknowledging His sovereignty and seeking His will in Jesus’ name. We join you in praying for this opportunity, trusting that God will open the right doors at the right time.
The Word of God reminds us in **Matthew 6:31-33**, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your child’s need for provision is not hidden from the Lord, and we trust that as they seek Him first, He will provide in ways that align with His purpose for their life.
We also encourage your child to remain diligent and faithful in their efforts, remembering **Colossians 3:23**, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* Even in the search for employment, their attitude and effort can be a testimony of their faith. If this interview comes to pass, we pray for favor and wisdom, that they would speak with confidence and grace, and that the Lord would go before them to prepare the way.
At the same time, we ask the Lord to guard their heart against discouragement or anxiety. **Philippians 4:6-7** tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* May they rest in the assurance that God is their Provider, and that He will never leave them nor forsake them.
We also pray that this season would be a time of spiritual growth for your child. College can be a challenging environment, but it is also an opportunity to lean on the Lord and trust Him in new ways. May they find community with other believers who can encourage them, and may they walk in obedience to His Word, even in the midst of busyness and stress.
Father, we ask that You would go before our sister’s child and prepare the way for this interview. If it is Your will, let it come to pass, and grant them favor in the eyes of their potential employer. Give them the right words to say and the confidence that comes from You. If this is not the right opportunity, we pray that You would close this door and open another one that aligns with Your perfect plan. Provide for their financial needs in a way that brings You glory and strengthens their faith. Let them see Your hand at work in their life, and may they give You all the praise.
We also lift up this parent, asking that You would fill them with peace as they trust You with their child’s future. Remind them that You love their child even more than they do, and that Your plans for them are good. Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and let them see Your faithfulness in this situation.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
