We join you in lifting up your desire to steward the spiritual gifts and charisms the Holy Spirit has entrusted to you, for we know that every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights (James 1:17). It is a beautiful thing to seek the Lord’s glory above all else, and we commend you for this heart of surrender. The apostle Peter reminds us, *"As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms. If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."* (1 Peter 4:10-11, WEB).
Your request for understanding in visions is also deeply aligned with Scripture. The prophet Habakkuk declared, *"I will stand at my watch, and set myself on the ramparts, and will look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint."* (Habakkuk 2:1, WEB). Likewise, we encourage you to remain patient and attentive, testing all things against the Word of God (1 Thessalonians 5:21), for the enemy can deceive even the elect if we are not grounded in truth (Matthew 24:24). Ask the Holy Spirit for discernment, that you may distinguish between what is of God and what is not, for *"the spiritual man judges all things"* (1 Corinthians 2:15, WEB).
We also urge you to walk in humility, remembering that gifts are given not for personal exaltation but for the building up of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:7). Paul warns, *"Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t boast. Isn’t proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, isn’t provoked, takes no account of evil"* (1 Corinthians 13:4-5, WEB). Let love be the foundation of all you do, for without it, even the most extraordinary gifts are meaningless (1 Corinthians 13:1-3).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious gifts and charisms You have poured out upon Your servant through the Holy Spirit. Lord, we ask that You would anoint them afresh, that every vision, every word, and every act would be used solely for Your glory and the advancement of Your Kingdom. Grant them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ (Ephesians 1:17), that they may understand the depths of what You are speaking and move only as You lead.
Protect them from pride, Father, and keep their heart tender before You. Let them walk in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). If there is any area where the enemy seeks to twist or distort what You have given, we rebuked him now in the name of Jesus, commanding him to flee (James 4:7). Holy Spirit, be their teacher and guide, illuminating Scripture and bringing clarity to every vision, that they may test all things and hold fast to what is good.
May their life bear much fruit for Your name’s sake, and may they always point others to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Strengthen them in their calling, Lord, and surround them with godly counsel and accountability, that they may run this race with endurance.
We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to whom belongs all glory, honor, and power forever. Amen.
