We join with you in gratitude for the spiritual gifts and charisms the Holy Spirit has entrusted to you, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights (James 1:17). It is a profound blessing to be equipped by God for His service, and we rejoice that your heart’s desire is to use these gifts for His glory. The Apostle Peter reminds us, *"As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms"* (1 Peter 4:10). Your request reflects a humble and surrendered heart, seeking not only to steward these gifts well but also to grow in understanding, particularly in the area of visions.
Visions, like all spiritual gifts, must be tested and aligned with Scripture, for even the enemy can deceive with false visions or interpretations (1 John 4:1). We encourage you to prayerfully examine every vision through the lens of God’s Word, seeking confirmation and wisdom from mature believers in the faith. Paul urges the Corinthians, *"Don’t quench the Spirit. Don’t despise prophecies. Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good"* (1 Thessalonians 5:19-21). Let this be your guide as you seek to understand what the Lord is revealing to you.
We also remind you that spiritual gifts are not for personal exaltation but for the edification of the Church and the advancement of God’s Kingdom. Jesus Himself said, *"He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him"* (John 7:18). May your gifts always point others to Christ, building up the body of believers and drawing the lost to salvation.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up your servant before you, thanking you for the precious gifts and charisms you have poured out upon them by your Holy Spirit. Lord, we ask that you grant them a deeper understanding of the visions you reveal, that they may discern your voice clearly and walk in the wisdom that comes from above. Protect them from deception, and let every revelation be rooted in your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
Father, may these gifts be used mightily for your glory, not for personal gain or recognition, but to strengthen your Church, encourage the faint-hearted, and bring salvation to those who do not yet know you. Fill them afresh with your Spirit, that they may operate in the power and authority you have given them, always pointing others to Jesus Christ, in whom all things hold together (Colossians 1:17).
We pray that you would surround them with godly counsel, men and women of faith who can help them test and steward these gifts wisely. Let their life be a testimony of your goodness, and may they walk in humility, knowing that apart from you, they can do nothing (John 15:5).
We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. Amen.
