We join with you in lifting up this request, for the gifts and charisms bestowed by the Holy Spirit are not for our own glory but for the edification of the Church and the advancement of God’s Kingdom. The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12:7, *"But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all."* Your desire to use these gifts for His glory aligns with Scripture, and we commend you for seeking wisdom in understanding the visions you have received. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 14:1, *"Follow after love, and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy."* Yet, we must also remember the warning in 1 Thessalonians 5:19-21, *"Don’t quench the Spirit. Don’t despise prophecies. Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good."*
We must also emphasize the importance of discernment, for not every vision or spiritual experience is from the Lord. The Apostle John warns us in 1 John 4:1, *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world."* Therefore, we urge you to measure every vision and revelation against the unchanging truth of Scripture, for God will never contradict His Word. If what you see or hear does not align with the Bible, it is not from Him, no matter how convincing it may seem.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gifts of the Spirit that You have poured out upon Your servant. Lord, we ask that You grant them a deeper understanding of the visions You have given, that they may be interpreted through the lens of Your holy Word. May these gifts be used not for personal exaltation but for the building up of Your Church and the glorification of Your name. Fill them with discernment, Lord, that they may test every spirit and hold fast to what is true. Let them walk in humility, knowing that apart from You, we can do nothing. Strengthen them in faith, and let their life be a testament to Your power and grace.
We rebuked any spirit of confusion, deception, or pride that may seek to distort or misuse these gifts. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that every vision and revelation must submit to the truth of Scripture. Let no false teaching or misleading spirit find a foothold, but let the Holy Spirit guide and guard their heart and mind in all things.
Father, we also ask that You surround them with godly counsel—men and women of faith who can help them steward these gifts wisely. Let them be rooted in Your love and grounded in Your truth, that their ministry may bear fruit that lasts for eternity.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord diligently in prayer and in the study of His Word. The gifts of the Spirit are powerful, but they must be exercised in love and submission to Christ. As you walk in obedience, may the Lord use you mightily for His purposes. Stay humble, stay faithful, and always give Him the glory. If you ever feel uncertain about a vision or a word you’ve received, do not hesitate to bring it before trusted believers who can help you discern its origin. The body of Christ is meant to function together, and we are here to support you in this journey.
