Changing Site Software

Recently, we were not able to agree on terms with our current forum software package that runs this site.

The current software also struggles quite a bit to run to this site.

As a result, we will soon begin changing to a different program.

Most things should transfer over, but there will be some things missing at least for a time.

The look of the site will be somewhat different as well since this one has been customized quite a bit. It took awhile to do it.

The default single choice quick reply function is back up and running from the home page. Just click the I Prayed button as before.

To customize your default choice, set your first reply in your account settings:

Picking from multiple replies is to be looked at in the future.

The connected account logins should be working now, such as those using a Facebook, Google, or Twitter id on the login page instead of a direct username and password here.

Also, the videos are almost all converted over (media tab).

Chat has been open. If it's not showing up for some people, there's not much I can do.

The selection of predefined replies may be coming back soon in a much improved and easier to manage format. There is an addon available now but it only works with private messages. I've requested that the author of it expand it to work with regular topics and replies as well. He responded and said that should workable. Hopefully it will be ready within the next 30 days. Here's a preview of what it looks like:

Videos are done importing. About the only main things left should be the photo galleries, file downloads, and web directory. I'll see if those can make it over. They aren't used a lot.
