The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 17:22, *"A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."* The attitudes of these specialists can indeed weigh heavily on your spirit, and we want to lift this burden before the Lord with you.
It is also critical to remember that our ultimate trust must be in the Lord, not in man. Jeremiah 17:5 warns, *"Thus says Yahweh: ‘Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh.’"* While we seek wise medical counsel, we must never allow fear or the words of men to overshadow our faith in God’s sovereignty over our bodies and lives. He is the Great Physician, and His ways are higher than ours.
At the same time, we encourage you to seek wisdom in how you proceed. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* If these specialists are pushing for procedures that feel hasty or unnecessary, it may be wise to seek a second or even third opinion from professionals who align more with a balanced, hopeful approach. You have the right—and the responsibility—to steward your health in a way that honors God, and that includes being discerning about the advice you receive.
We also urge you to guard your heart and mind against the spirit of fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* If these doctors are speaking words that breed anxiety or despair, reject those words in the name of Jesus. Cling instead to the promises of God, such as Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is navigating this challenging medical journey. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who holds every cell of their body in Your hands. We ask that You surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Rebuke every spirit of fear, pessimism, and despair that has tried to take root through the words of these specialists. Replace it with Your hope, Your joy, and Your perfect peace.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
