Change of attitude.

Father God,

 I bring to You my bad attitude. No one else gave it to me. Nobody else caused it. Although it often seems contagious, I know it doesn’t spread like a virus. The true problem with my attitude bears my name.

I can’t fix this myself, Lord. I’m grumpy. I’m crabby. I’m touchy—and no one had better touch me, because those bitter bubbles simmering under the surface might explode.

Father, today I need You to fix my attitude. I need You to help me take the form of a servant. I need You to help me consider others more important than myself. I need You to replace my haughtiness with humility, my pouting with praise.

I need You to change me, because I can’t change myself.

Jesus, You gave us the perfect example of someone who put Himself last. When scorned, mocked, and lied about, You remained silent. When reviled, You did not revile in return. You had every chance to spew words of hatred but spoke words of healing and forgiveness instead.

Today, my Master, move me to lay myself down on Your altar. I acknowledge my inability to do even that much on my own. Live, move, and breathe through me. Help me to die as You live Your life through me. I can’t get it right—but You can. 

Thank You Jesus for hearing my prayer. In Jesus Christ let my prayer be adjusted according to the will of God. Lord, i need you, i thank you, i trust you, i love you. In Jesus Christ Name I Pray Amen

Then confess each of the negative attitudes to God and repent of them, inviting God to transform you from the inside out. Going forward, each time you become aware of an unhealthy, negative thought in your mind, give it to God in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to renew your mind so you can think the way He wants you to think – which will help you develop positive attitudes to fill your soul regularly."  Blessings. It looks like from these scriptures the responsibility is ours. Our attitudes are choices we make. They are something we learn to do. Through Jesus God has given us the fruit of the Spirit, which is Himself.  The fruit of the Spirit is live, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self control, long suffering. All of these Godly attributes are available to us to use. 

From your prayer it sounds like it would be God's fault if you do not change.  

1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV)
13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
 

God already does His part. Every time you express your attitude God has already given you a way to escape from expressing that attitude that if that attitude is not Godly.   The attitude is a habit and has to be dealt with as a habit. The Holy Spirit can show you the root cause of a habit.  But we need to keep our eyes and mind  and focus on the Lord, and He will fix us.

20  My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

25  Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26  Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

In the name of Jesus, I command all demonic presences in your body to leave your body, now.  I command any and all forms of trauma in your body to leave your body, now. I command all negative cellular memory in your body to leave your body,now.  I declare and I decree you shall now be free of all demonic captivities and bondages of the demonic realm.  Thank you Jesus.

Also, receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.  By praying in the Spirit, in tongues, you can walk through this life with power.
