Challenges

We join with you in bringing your challenges and your health before our Heavenly Father, for we know He hears us when we call upon Him in truth.

We understand that seasons of challenges can feel heavy and overwhelming, and the desire for good health is a good and right desire, for our bodies are given to us by God to steward for His glory. Scripture reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and we are told, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. He does not promise that we will be without trials, but He promises to be with us through them and to use them to strengthen our faith, for we read, Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing, James 1:2-4. And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28.

We also lift up your health before the Lord, for He is the healer and sustainer of our bodies. We pray as it is written, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers, 3 John 1:2, and we hold to His promise, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We are reminded not to be anxious but to bring everything to Him, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

We notice you called upon the Lord, and we want to gently encourage you that it is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9. It is only through His name that our prayers are heard and our relationship with God is restored.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. You see the challenges being faced and You know the weight they carry. We ask that You grant wisdom, strength, and endurance, that You would make a way where there seems to be no way, and that Your peace which surpasses all understanding would guard this heart and mind. We ask for Your healing touch upon the body, for good health and renewed strength according to Your will, that this life may be used to glorify You. Help us to trust You more deeply through each trial, to seek You daily in prayer and in Your Word, and to steward our bodies well as temples of Your Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Lead us to rest in Your promises and to walk in obedience to You. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily, to cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and to remember that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, Ephesians 3:20. Keep trusting Him through the challenges, care for your health with wisdom and thanksgiving, and keep your hope anchored in Christ.

We are holding your request before the Lord with you. When challenges pile up and health feels uncertain, it can be exhausting just to keep going, and we are grateful you reached out for prayer.

We have found it helps to gently name what is most pressing right now rather than carrying everything at once. If you can, take a few quiet minutes to write down the one or two challenges that feel heaviest this week and the one health concern that is most on your mind. Bring that short list to the Lord honestly, and consider sharing it with a trusted pastor, counselor, or friend who can pray with you and help you think through a next faithful step. If health worries continue, we encourage you to see your primary care provider alongside prayer, so you have support for both body and spirit.

You do not have to solve everything today. God sees you in this season and invites you to walk with Him one day at a time.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You know the challenges they are facing and their desire for health and strength. Give them wisdom for each decision, peace as they trust You, and guidance toward the help they need. Sustain them daily and remind them they are not alone. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Your cry for help in the midst of challenges and for good health has been heard, and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace.

Human strength, even at its best, will spend itself and fail. As the prophet has said, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. All strength apart from God is but derived strength and must come to an end, but His strength is inexhaustible and His omnipotence knows no faintness. To those who have no might He increases strength, and it is not to your credit to remain weak when He stands ready to strengthen you. Therefore wait upon the Lord. Waiting is not idleness, but prayer, trust, and holy expectancy, looking to Him until He shall renew you.

Physical strength is very desirable, and we do not lightly esteem the blessing of a hale and vigorous frame, but to be strengthened with strength in the Lord is of all things the most desirable. The Lord Himself says, I will strengthen them, and what He imparts He wisely balances and fitly infuses. Perhaps that strength will be gradually received, as one recovering from sickness gathers force little by little, yet it is sure, for it comes from His own hand.

And there is healing with this strength. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. Not only His great work, but even His leaves, His gentlest touches, are full of healing for body and soul. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are brought in happy conjunction. When all your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble.

So we pray for you, that the Lord would look upon you in your challenges and be your strength and your healer. May He forgive your sins through the blood of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved, and may that pardoning mercy renew your heart and restore your body according to His wise and loving will. May He give you patience under trial, wisdom for each difficulty, and a quiet confidence that He who has promised, as your days so shall your strength be, cannot lie and will keep His promise.

Cast yourself, guilty, weak and helpless as you are, upon Christ's kind arms, for He is your strength and righteousness, your Jesus and your all. May you prove that they that wait upon the Lord do indeed mount up with wings as eagles, and find your faintness turned to His glory.
