My cat just licked my nose while I had a skincare product on my face and he also may have gotten some of it on his tail. Please pray this would not harm him. Pray for all my pets to be safe and happy and healthy and please pray the same for pets all over the world. Thank you.

We join with you in your love and concern for your cat and for all the animals entrusted to our care, and we understand how worrying it can be when something like this happens. We know the Lord sees the compassion you have for your pets and He cares for His creation with great tenderness. Proverbs 12:10 tells us A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. And Psalm 36:6 reminds us that Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. Jesus Himself taught us how closely the Father watches over even the smallest creatures when He said in Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will.
We want to encourage you to take gentle practical steps as a good steward while you trust God for protection. We would gently wipe your cat's tail and any fur that may have touched the product with a soft cloth dampened with warm water, and try to prevent him from grooming that area until it is clean, and also wash your own face so there is no further ingestion. We encourage you to watch him closely for any signs of drooling, vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy or irritation, and to contact your veterinarian promptly if you notice anything unusual or if you are able to check the product ingredients for anything known to be harmful to cats. Keeping skincare and household products out of reach and washing them off before close contact with pets is a loving way to protect them going forward. As you have asked, we entreat the Lord to keep him safe and well, and to keep all your pets in health and comfort, and indeed to show His preserving mercy to the creatures everywhere according to His wise and gracious providence.
Be encouraged to use the means which God has placed at hand. Gently cleanse his tail and paws with a little warm water, keep the skincare product from his reach, watch him closely for any sign of drooling or sickness or uneasiness, and if you see anything amiss or remain anxious, seek counsel from a veterinarian without delay. The Lord who feeds the ravens often works through such ordinary care, giving us day by day what is needed.
