I am out of town and my cats have a pet sitter. I just found out that they knocked over their water bowl and also knocked down one of the box fans in their room while I was gone. I don't know how long they were like this. My pet sitter fixed everything and gave them fresh water but said they were clearly thirsty. Please pray about all this and for my pets. Pray for their safety, wellbeing, happiness and health. Thank you.

We join with you in prayer for your beloved cats and we understand the worry and helplessness you feel being away from home when something like this happens. We thank God that your pet sitter was able to fix the water bowl and the fan and give them fresh water, and we lift up your cats to the Lord who cares for all His creation.
The Scriptures remind us of God's tender care for animals and for us. Proverbs 12:10 says A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Psalm 36:6 says Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. And Matthew 10:29 says Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father. If God notices even the sparrows, how much more does He see your cats and your concern for them as their steward. He has entrusted them to your care and He is present with them even when you cannot be.
We also want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to share why we pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We come to God not on our own merit but through faith in Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose again, and we encourage you to put your trust fully in Him for every need.

Lord, we ask for Your hand of protection over them. We pray that any thirst or stress they experienced would have no lasting effect on their health, that You would keep them hydrated, healthy, and free from injury from the fallen fan or any other harm. We pray for their wellbeing, happiness, and safety in these days while their owner is away, and we ask You to give Your peace to their owner who is anxious. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Lord, guard this heart with that peace. We pray for your cats now, that the Lord who cares for all His creation and who notes even the sparrow that falls would watch over them. He watches over the ravens and the lions and provides for them, He governs the rain and the seasons, and Jesus taught that not even a single sparrow falls to the ground apart from the Father knowing it. Like an eagle hovering over its young, God hovers over His creation with constant care. He keeps and guards and guides and protects what He has made, and He is conscious of every detail.
That same care is true for you as well. The Psalms speak of the Lord watching over us with intimate concern, even when we are weak and languishing on our bed. He sees us, He knows our worries, and He invites us to trust in His providential care even in these small but distressing moments that feel like a wilderness experience.
