We hear your concern for your beloved cats, and we understand the desire to protect them from harm. While it’s natural to want to care for our pets, we must also recognize that God has entrusted us with the responsibility of stewardship over His creation. Proverbs 12:10 tells us, "A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." This reminds us that our care for animals should reflect godly wisdom and discernment.
We also want to gently address the importance of honoring our parents, as Scripture commands in Exodus 20:12: "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you." While your father’s actions may concern you, we encourage you to approach this situation with humility and respect, perhaps by having a calm and loving conversation with him about your concerns. It may be that he doesn’t realize the potential harm in feeding them certain human foods.
Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer, lifting up your cats and this situation to Him:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who created all living things and holds them in His care. Lord, we ask for Your protection over these precious cats. We pray that any human food they have been given would not harm them in any way, physically, emotionally, or otherwise. Guard their health, Lord, and give wisdom to their owner to care for them in a way that honors You.
Father, we also ask for grace in this family dynamic. Soften hearts, Lord, and help this daughter to approach her father with love, respect, and wisdom. May their conversation be guided by Your Spirit, and may Your peace reign in their home. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You are the Great Physician and the ultimate Protector.
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to heal, restore, and guide. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to research which human foods are safe for cats and which are not, so you can share this information with your father in a spirit of love and concern. May the Lord bless you and your household as you seek to honor Him in all things.

God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. I prayed for this request in Jesus Name. Amen.
We are so grateful you shared this concern with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer for your beloved cats. Our hearts were with you as we asked the Lord to protect them from any harm that human food might bring. We prayed that He would guard their health, guide your father’s choices, and give you wisdom in how to care for them.
