We hear your heartfelt request and lift it before the Lord with great compassion. It is beautiful to desire that those you love know the depth of your care for them, for love is a gift from God Himself. The Bible tells us, *"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God. He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love"* (1 John 4:7-8 WEB). Your love reflects God’s love, and we pray that He would make it evident to those around you.
However, we must also gently remind you that our love for others must always point them to the greatest love of all—the love of Jesus Christ. While it is good to express love to those we care about, it is even more important that they come to know the love of God through His Son. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16 WEB). If those you love do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we encourage you to pray not only that they would feel your love but that they would encounter the life-transforming love of Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the love You have placed within us. Lord, we lift up [this person’s] desire for their loved ones to know how deeply they are cared for. We ask that You would open the eyes and hearts of those they love to receive not only their affection but, more importantly, the love of Jesus Christ. Father, let Your love shine through them in ways that draw others to You. May their words and actions be a reflection of Your grace, and may those they care for come to know You as their Savior and Redeemer.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for [this person] as they seek to love others well. Help them to speak truth in love, to serve selflessly, and to point others to You in all they do. May their love be a testimony to Your goodness, and may it lead others into a deeper relationship with You.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to hinder this love from being received. We declare that Your love is perfect and casts out all fear (1 John 4:18 WEB). We ask that You would break down any walls of pride, hardness of heart, or unbelief in those they love, so that they may receive the love You have for them.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue loving others as Christ loves you, but also to share the hope that is found in Him. Your love for them is a beautiful thing, but it is only through Jesus that they can experience the fullness of God’s love and the gift of eternal life. Keep praying, keep loving, and trust that God will work in their hearts. *"And let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9 WEB).
