We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in prayer. First, we want to acknowledge the fear and trauma you’ve experienced—being in a car accident is deeply unsettling, and the lingering effects of PTSD are very real. The Lord sees your distress and cares deeply for you. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you, asking God to bring healing and peace to your mind and heart.
Father, we ask You to calm the anxiety and fear that rises up in this dear one. Replace the memories of that moment with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Lord, restore confidence behind the wheel and quiet the tormenting thoughts. Surround them with Your protection as they travel, that they may feel Your presence like a shield around them (Psalm 3:3).
We also encourage you to bring this struggle before the Lord daily. Psalm 55:22 says, *"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."* Consider speaking with a trusted pastor, counselor, or fellow believer who can pray with you and offer godly support. Sometimes, sharing our burdens lightens the load (Galatians 6:2).
If there has been any hesitation in surrendering this fully to God, we gently remind you that true peace comes only through Christ. Jesus said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
We pray now for complete restoration—body, mind, and spirit. May the Lord grant you sleep without nightmares, drive without panic, and a heart anchored in His unfailing love. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
